@LXP8 I don't have a problem with Xenoblade's accents, most people have a problem with repetitive combat dialogue and Rex not really yelling. The problem with Zelda is that no one else in Hyrule sounds like her. Games like Dragon Quest even have different British accents based on where characters are from, another example of how it's done right. Zelda just sounds the way she does because of crappy American tropes that every person of royalty in a fantasy series must speak non-rhotically.

Her voice is only even worse now that they she can be compared to Rauru in the same scenes in this game. Chris Hackney did a far better job and so did Matt Mercer.

That Too 10 sucks and as much as I like it, BOTW is ridiculously overrated. For all it does right, it also has the worst dungeons, bosses, and music of any 3D Zelda game. Also the Tunic of the Wild is the worst tunic since the original.

@Banksie The only real acceptable reason to go back to LCD is if they spend a considerable amount on the chipset and they upgrade the screen resolution.

The character designs remind of classic Zero Escape before it jumped the shark.

@Bret I meant fix, I don't know why I said patch. Most of these patches have done nothing to fix the more egregious issues with the game.

If they don't fix this game then Pokemon is dead to me.

@NCChris It's because it's a tired trope in American media to have someone of royalty or nobility speak with a forced British accent. It just feels unnatural, especially when her family are the only ones in Hyrule who speak like that.

I hate to tell the author, but Mario's behavior is still very much indicative of someone in their 20's as an older Zoomer myself. Especially in New York, of course he can't afford to move out.

Doesn't sound like what I wouldn't expect from Illumination or the Mario series honestly. Neither are known for their plots.

@Cashews At least they know what they're talking about. One reviewer called cat Mario outrageous because they didn't know it was a real powerup.

@ancientlii There are high scores. They must have not come in when this was posted. IGN for example, gave it an 8.

@tameshiyaku She complained about Cat Mario because she thought it was made just for the movie. A lot of critics end reviewing things they interest and knowledge in which is a problem with a lot of modern criticism.

Every time this has come up, people ignore the details in the article that explains the focus on digital accounts, NOT MOBILE GAMES. Nintendo even said that they were slowing down investment in new mobile titles for a while. This is to fix their online infrastructure that is way behind the competition. Considering how many on this site agree that Nintendo could do better in that area, you would think people would be more optimistic.

I am biased, but I picked the blue Pikachu N64 because I grew up with one.

The Pokemon Company has become an absolute joke. Not only are they hopping on the NFT train, but they are doing after they lost what inflated value they had. How incompetent can you be? Oh yeah, enough that you release a game with massive memory leak issues with little chance of a fix ever coming.

This DLC seems promising, unfortunately it means little when the game has so many bugs that need to be fixed.

Breaking News: Company is always ready to collect more cash from consumers. Seriously though, a 3D Mario is probably being developed for a Switch 2 and if we do get Mario in the next 12 months, it would probably be a 2D game in order to get in on the Mario Movie hype train and boost what would already be ridiculous sales with the current install base on Switch.

@Savage_Joe Many of us do criticize China as well. At least Saudi Arabia hasn't completely taken over yet like China has in manufacturing, so it's much easier to put up resistance.

@SalvorHardin No any reasonable lawyer who would tell him not let a SLAP lawsuit stop him from exercising free speech. As someone studying to become a lawyer, frivolous lawsuits are an embarrassment to the legal system.

I haven't watched the anime in a long time, but growing up with the original to diamond and pearl, this really hurts. It probably needs to happen, but I felt legitimate sadness when I read this news as weird as that may sound. I hope this means they let him at least grow up and maybe make the occasional appearance.

Game Freak is easily one of the least competent AAA studios I've ever seen. It's embarrassing.

Too many great songs didn't make the list. There are too many good songs. Honorable mentions: Super Mario Bros Theme, LoZ Theme, Pokémon Red and Blue Route 1, F-Zero Mute City, F-Zero Big Blue, etc.

@a1904 I mean the characters have often been portrayed by Americans for most of their history and Mario didn't get his Italian accent until a decade in. What kind of accent would fit Bowser or Toad since theirs don't fit either?

Game Freak is one of the most disappointing studios relative to the financial resources at their disposal. Even the narration in the trailer is lazy and embarrassing. It's like they think the player base is exclusively made up of lobotomized toddlers. It's especially frustrating since I do think that this game at least has a little more heart than Sword and Shield, but that's a low bar.

Poor Mario... not everyone can be dummy thicc like Snake.

@Tempestryke It's personally my favorite PSP game. If you like the characters of the original FFVII and want more context to Cloud's backstory I highly recommend it. Even if you don't have much experience with FFVII I still recommend it. It stands on its own both in terms of gameplay and narrative. Also the soundtrack is phenomenal. https://youtu.be/TjF_V_feppI
