This is only speaking the truth. I love the Switch, but the UI is poor and looks hideous on the TV due to 720p resolution when the console supports 1080. Everything is jagged and dark gray/black or white.

I honestly thought when the trailer began it was going to be called Bravely Third. When Bravely Default II came up I was utterly confused.

The problem here is that unlike Hollow Knight that was clearly different from Castlevania, this has similar environments and enemies. Not to mention the attack animations and sound effects seem to be virtually identical. I have no authority to seem something a rip-off, but I can understand why people compare the too. It's almost too uncanny.

Who is naming these consoles at Microsoft? They get worse with each iteration.

Honestly the fact that fictional characters in a fantasy world with tan skin are automatically associated with being black is a little suspect in itself. It might at least be understandable if it were in a real world setting, but this is silly.

@PaperLucario It's pretty crazy too since there were apparently accusations for some time yet Funimation only felt compelled to do something once other actors were allegedly affected. Kinda like how Todd Haberkorn still has a job when he's been accused of worse. Not that Vic Mignogna and his lawyer weren't still acting wildly inappropriate too. That lawsuit would've ended in Funimation's favor faster if people involved didn't keep going on Twitter to air their dirty laundry mid-suit though.

@Dr_Lugae If you notice though. All those numbers are close, but there is a much bigger gap in lifetime sales. The newer games drop off much faster while having more explosive launches.

@SBandy I mean the series did these things in the 90s and early 2000s at its peak. They still make money, but the sales of the first generation and second generation are a standard that can't be beat. Even generation 4 only got to third despite the DS outselling everything, but the PS2. Sales after that haven't really gone up, but rather down for the most part.

@MaxlRoseGNR The licensing deal Sony wanted wasn't much different from what the Big N did to 3rd Parties at the time. Sony was just the 1st company to successfully clapback at Yamauchi when he tried to shake them down.

They usually cover the digital foundry videos on switch games. Are they going to do this one? I heard it was out.

@MailOrderNinja They have a pokemon league, but the actual overarching plot is still different. especially later generations.

@MailOrderNinja I don't know about everything being standard Pokemon. I heard from people who have been playing the story that they felt that it was the most lacking aspect of the game. Some of the past few generations had more involved plot lines so this would be a break from the trend while the competitive side could be seen as a great improvement from past entries. I am waiting to get a copy myself so I can form my opinion, but whether people like the game or not, simply call it standard or average for pokemon in each individual aspect.

@SalvorHardin Well ExFAT is really known for being easier to corrupt than some other formats. It doesn't do any journaling so any interruptions could result in potential data loss.

There are mostly positive or neutral comments and the defense brigade is still complaining about "babies" and snowflakes." This is beyond self-parody. The review are out and now we just have to wait for release. Then you can continue the raging if you want regardless of stance.

@AstralSoul13 I see Joe Merrick tweeting about threats he recieved, but the only image I ever found was one person saying they deserve a shallow grave which is definitely wrong, but not quite a threat more than a distasteful jab.

@tobibra I think there was some joke in there and some people with Sakurai did laugh. The CERO thing was downplayed in translation though.

Reviewers be like: " It was alright fun, but kinda bare bones despite costing 50% more and being on more powerful hardware. 9/10 Best one yet."

@quinnyboy58 I think it's due to the length of the game's and most reviews coming off as lukewarm despite high scores.

@AstralSoul13 Who sent death threats though? I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but I have ironically seen more angry defenders of these games than the people upset.

@ShinEon Most of the reviews for these games on other sites also give high scores after their final thoughts come off as mixed and disappointed.

@johnvboy That's the problem though. They market it to one one audience, but studies suggest they're ignoring large chunk of their base. The Pokémon fan base is aging faster than it is bringing in new fans. In some ways Game Freak either denies or downplays this, but it still has an impact as seen with how many complaints every new game gets for being the easiest one yet. Pokémon was already easy and accessible for children to so making it easier is only more baffling with each release especially since they still use archaic practices like one save file and no difficulty select.
