@Teksette Ohh, I know now what twist you were talking about Yes, I was surprised, but I expect some more shocking twist. E.g. what are so many different aliens doing on this little planet?
Finally weekend, this week was too disturbing, mixed feelings for Switch 2, crisis everywhere. Not surprisingly playing Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition. Finished chapter 7, doing side quests. 39 hours spent, about 1/4 of the quests completed, this game is huge!
Not much to tell, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition and nothing else. Finished chapter 5, currently doing side quests. Finally a game I can play for hours without falling asleep!
@CRB1984 I like it so far, although it’s quite simple: collect things, increase friendship levels, unlock and complete quests, rinse and repeat - with a daily limit. But my soul needs this at the moment.
I really should get back into Dragon Quest III HD-2D and finish it before XCX coming. Collecting orbs, but I simply don’t like it. Also a bit of the new NSO GB games and Rayman Legends in the 3rd world.
Wrapping up the last case in my last AA game, Ace Attorney Investigations 2. So sad it’s over . If I have more time, then Dragon Quest III HD-2D and Wario Land 4.
I am even planning to buy more. What if the world turns upside down and Switch won’t be available anymore? If I have some spare ones, I can continue to play for decades.
Mostly Ace Attorney Investigations 2. Finishing soon the 2nd case (hilarious!) and starting the 3rd. Also a bit of Wario Land 4. Taking a break from Dragon Quest III HD-2D and Wario Land 3, but I want to finish all of these before 20th of March, guess why.
@NintendoByNature Same for me. Burnt myself with DQ3, FF Pixel Remaster, Chrono Cross. Back in the days I could give an arm and a leg for each JRPG, not many were released in Europe. But now I simply cannot get into them, meaning the old ones. But I love Xenoblade, big hopes in XCX.
In anticipation of Wario Land 4 I started Wario Land 3 on NSO and I cannot stop. So who knows if I can play my main game Dragon Quest III HD-2D, where I got the ship and have to find orbs, but still missing a key. Or progress in Ace Attorney Investigations 2.
During the week I finished Advance Wars 2 and started Dragon Quest III HD-2D. It’s the 4th remake/remaster I’m playing in a row. I’ll be playing nothing else in the weekend, as I want fully get into it. I already love the graphics and the music, but I’m not hooked yet.
Yesterday I finally finished Ace Attorney Investigations, the 5th case was terribly long, but all in all I loved this game. Time to start AAI2. In Advance Wars 2 I’m in the middle of the Gold Comet missions, starting to be tricky.
In Ace Attorney Investigations playing the 5th case. In case I finish this weekend, will start the 2nd game. Messing around with my backlog to find a secondary game, probably it will be Advance Wars 2 from the Reboot Camp. Played it on GBA, but never finished.
Same as last week. In Mario vs Donkey Kong, finished the plus worlds, now doing the expert levels. In Ace Attorney Investigations starting the 4th case.
After I finished the wild action game called Kirby and the Forgotten Land, I needed something more relaxing. So I started Mario vs Donkey Kong, my 2nd Christmas game. Currently in world 6, loving it, but it’s not that relaxing, I thought it would be. Also playing Ace Attorney Investigations, starting the 3rd case.
I’ve been playing Kirby and the Forgotten Land whole week. It’s the perfect Christmas game! Yesterday I rolled the 2nd credits, now trying for 100%. My plan was to finish Metroid Prime Remastered this year, but now I’m not sure I finish it at all. Arrived to Phazon Mines and it’s hard now and I suspect a lot of backtracking. Anyhow, I’ll give it a few more tries.
My main weekend game is still Metroid Prime Remastered. But I have to admit, I could not resist anymore and started my holiday game (each year I have something cheerful and relaxing): Kirby and the Forgotten Land. I love how it’s full of ideas. Some missions are really mind blowing.
I played most in 2024 (sub-titles are a must!)
1. Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope
2. Dragon Quest Monsters: The Dark Prince
3. Master Detective Archives: Rain Code
Enjoyed the most
1. Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope
2. Pricess Peach: Showtime!
3. Metroid Prime Remastered (not yet finished and might be replaced later by Kirby and the Forgotten Land)
Picross S6: finished during the week. Next will be the Sega one. AW1+2 Reboot Camp: wrapped up AW campaign, now taking a break. Metroid Prime Remastered: my main game till Xmas. In the snowy area. Progressing slowly, not an easy game going in blind. BR Cyberfunk: playing when MP gets too much. In the 2nd big area. Very different from Tony Hawk, but still enjoying.
Wrapping up Ni No Kuni. The ending is dragging too much. Also not much left of Picross S6. I bought the Cyberfunk game and Metroid Prime Remastered on sale, plan to try out those.
Theatrhythm. Going for the rainbow stars, 18 more critical charts and done. Yesterday did 30+ (public holiday here) so surely will get it by tomorrow. Otherwise I’m in a gaming crisis, I don’t feel like playing anything from the backlog, nor buying something at current price. Maybe will do some collectibles in LEGO Star Wars.
Last weekend I finally got hooked by LEGO Star Wars. I have 2 episodes left from the story mode, but I also started to collect … well, collectables. Or collectibles. This game is insane, so much fun.
Finished Master Detective Archives: Rain Code during the week. What an underrated gem! I’m so happy I gave it a chance. Now playing FF1 Pixel Remaster, best part is the soundtrack. Also some LEGO Star Wars, starting the prequel trilogy, and Picross S6, where I’m on a 30x30 puzzle.
After finishing Echoes I got back to Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, now in the 4th chapter, might finish it this weekend. Pondering which FF to start from the Pixel Remasters. Go in historical order? Or start with the second three?
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom. Now doing side quests and going for the 7th dungeon. Probably finishing this weekend. I would be happy with some twist after credits, like the possibility to play the whole game as Link with modified story and dungeons to adapt to Link-style battles, but maybe I’m expecting too much. Pokémon Gold/Silver won’t repeat anymore.
Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, in chapter 2. It’s good, but so slow that I often fall asleep while playing. I read that later on story would be mind-blowing, so sticking to it.
Finished Emio during the week, what a story! I even cried at the final part. Now I am playing another detective story, although very different, Master Detective Archives: Rain Code, still in chapter 0. Fortunately this one has English dub. My only complaint towards Emio was the lack of it.
I’m about to finish the Emio demo and feel tempted to buy the game, but for 50 eur… I feel guilty about it, I am spending too much these days anyway. What to do, what to do… If not that, then nothing new, just the usual Advance Wars (at mission 16), LEGO Star Wars, Theatrhythm.
Advance Wars 1+2 Re-boot Camp. Advance Wars has a special place in my heart, it was my first GBA game, just when I started working. It helped me survive that hard period. GBA was like magic for me that time, such a good little machine.

For me the biggest negative is to force us download games. I expected 128 GB cartridges.

Re: Square Enix Publisher Sale Brings Delightful Discounts To A Boatload Of RPGs
@SGE2000 No. It still looks awful. I needed some time to get into the gameplay loop and turn a blind eye on graphics.
Re: Square Enix Publisher Sale Brings Delightful Discounts To A Boatload Of RPGs
@FishyS I didn’t like it as much as DQ Treasures, but still think it’s an above average game. Definitely worth the double-discounted price.
