Since retiring from his role as the Nintendo of America president last April, Reggie Fils-Aimé has joined GameStop's board of directors, Cornell University as a Leader in Residence, and even returned to The Game Awards as a presenter. Now, in the latest update, he's joined the board of directors of the children's entertainment company, Spin Master Corp.
The board wanted to bolster its experience in entertainment and digital gaming, so it's taken on Reggie and Christina Miller, former president of WarnerMedia's Kids Young Adults and Classic Division. Here's the announcement on Reggie's Twitter:
Spin Master Corp is a global toy and entertainment company covering brands like PAW Patrol, Hatchimals, Bakugan, and Erector by Meccano. It's also had more than 110 TIA Toy of The Year nominations and 30 wins across a variety of categories. On top of this, it's produced eleven television series broadcast across more than 160 countries and territories globally.

Will this man ever retire? I’m guessing no; all good though, the man is a hoot to watch and a badass in equal measure.
I thought he wanted to spend time with his family? haha
Holy crap. I worked for Spin and absolutely hated it there. This almost makes me want to go back though!
Paw patrol rep in smash I'm calling it now
So I guess even Reggie bailed out of GameStop.
All this reggie news is becoming a bit too on the nose, don’t you think?
Oh Wow!, with Spin Master?!!
Spin Master makes very good and interesting toys, however, almost like all other companies, when a project is not "successful" enough, they give up, that project does not pass the year and then it is forgotten ..., I hope that with Reggie, at least, the projects last longer, even when at the beginning don't see success, but have potential.
Leaving Nintendo to rake in money with as many cushy CEO positions as possible.
This man is the jack of all trades. I always loved his "if it's not fun, what's the point" quote. Seems like the perfect mentality for entertainment.
@tasuki He didn’t quit the Gamestop board. He’s on two boards at the same time. Not unusual.
@ATaco He’s a board member, not a CEO - very different positions.
As awesome as Reggie is, he doesn’t work for Nintendo anymore. I don’t believe you need to report on his every move.

“...Covering brands like PAW Patrol, Hatchimals, Bakugan, and Erector”
Can anyone tell me what “Erector“ is? And if it is what I think it is, is his what Reggie has been readying his body for this whole time?
@Maxz
Toy blocks where you "erect" buildings....
Reggie is just going to absorb the entire pop culture industry isn't he?
Pizza Hut, Nintendo, GameStop, and now Spin Master. What's next? The United States government?
@RPGamer being on a companies board isn’t like being a CEO which is a full time and involved position. Board members are hands off and it takes little time investment in comparison.
He can easily be in two companies board meetings and still have plenty of time to see his family...
@Thannus Reggie for president... of the United States.
@itslukec
He is! Look at all the toys in the background.
Cousin Mario and luigi. Uncle Yoshi, his adopted son, Young Link. Etc, thats a big family in one room 🤣
@RPGamer
He does, you can be on the board of directors for mutiple companies at once, its not really full time job
I would guess Reggie has a lot of business contacts, and not just in video games. His connections with Procter and Gamble, Pizza Hut, and VH-1 alone mean avenues into licensing and advertising that Spin Master can exploit.
he seems like a good man and a workaholic, I hope he spends time with his family and other important things beyond this job.
its makes me happy to see how ingrained reggie still is with nintendo and this site. its nice seeing him still get around, im happy for him
"Retiring" huh?
Wait, I thought he joined Gamestop...did he retired from that already?
@graysoncharles This! It`s like 4-8 meetings a years a few reports and done.
So basically his 'retirement' was a way to avoid the hate from Nintendo fans? He clearly hasn't retired.
Either way, this barely Nintendo related.
This man is getting PAID in “retirement” good for him! Well earned and deserved.
The guy's had so many jobs since leaving Nintendo, sounds like he's trying to find a company that offered the same perks.
@ALinkttPresent I respectfully disagree. We need to know he's okay 🥺 This is like calling your mum a couple times a week after you move out just to make sure everything's okay. Because we're good kids 😁
He's a bit all over the place right now.
Probably should have stayed at Nintendo.
@Shiro28 that's what I thought too.
And before that he was lecturing at a University? Or something.
I think leaving Nintendo was clearly a mistake.
Just because he's an ex-Nintendo employee doesn't mean he can take any IPs of where he works and give them to Nintendo.
@Moon The guy is a legend. He helped launch 5 Nintendo consoles from the DS to the Switch. So for a good while, anything Reggie does is going to get reported on Nintendo sites.
Did anyone notice with Reggie joining that GameStop seems to be able to get exclusives? Is that just coincidence or something happening behind the scenes????
No mention of the new Batman figures from Spin Masters? EPIC FAIL REGGIE. EPIC FAIL.
@NTELLIGENTMAN another Troll with EPIC Fail. He does more then you ever do in your lifetime. So before saying maybe you should do more then he has done. Otherwise look at mirror at point and say Epic Fail.
He went from the presiden of Nintendo America. One of the largest gaming companies in the world. To joining GameStop. Still good. Then making toys. This guy has a really strange career. Although was it really HIS decision?
@SwitchForce don't be so rude to him
