@Bunkerneath They get the standard 12-month online subscription for free ($19.99 value). They can upgrade to the Expansion Pack for $30 that includes the booster pack and N64, GBA, Genesis, and Animal Crossing/Splatoon DLC. I think it's a pretty good deal — not a cash grab.

Not entirely in love with the Smash Bros 3DS-esque cel shade + black outline style, but definitely not a dealbreaker. More interested in this than the previous Mario & Luigi entries.

Looks like a classic case of getting Mario Karted. We've all been there.

Can anyone explain to me the special relationship Keighley has for Kojima? It's one thing to show great respect for an incredible game designer, but Geoff seems to always take it to a new level and this supposed no-cost trailer access is another indication of that.

This is a clue as to when Nintendo announces the Switch 2. Nintendo would likely not reveal Switch 2 until after the tour and probably in October. Switch was revealed in October 2016 and released in March 2017.

Great list. This list must include Ember Knights though. Truly an underrated, overlooked gem. It's on par with Hades gameplay wise. If you enjoyed Vampire Survivors and Hades, you will love Ember Knights. Awesome with friends.

The joycons seemed to always feel small anyway. Larger joycons and more comfortable grip design sounds appealing to me.

NVIDIA is ahead of the times. Great partnership. Imagine the ability to replay many of your Switch library games in 4k, 60fps because of DLSS.

If I'm not mistaken, Rayman can't be played alongside any of the Mario universe characters, just the Rabbid characters. Wise decision by Nintendo.

@RubyCarbuncle I'm curious what you and the other commenter mean by "grindy". Do you mean takes too long to complete? Do you mean it takes a lot of time to get certain items?

@ModdedInkling My brother and I played through both games and really enjoyed them, however I don't think the games are underrated — I think the genre is very niche and that translates into poor sales. XCOM Enemy Unknown for example won several GOTY awards, but never reached 1 million sales.

@Unit_DTH That makes sense. Using the Nintendo Web Framework allowed the game to work across Nintendo platforms. It is also theoretically possible (albeit less likely) the code could have been used for an app for a smart device too though.

I wonder if this game was originally designed for smartphones. With the WiiU library so scarce as it was, maybe Nintendo later reconsidered.
