Are they new sd cards backward compatible with the non-express ones? Would be great of they supported both and gave us 2 sd-card slots. One for cheap storage and another for demanding games...and an easy way to transfer files between them.
I don't mind having the flood gates open for everyone. But as you say - let us easily block/ignore devs/publishers/keywords.
And for the love of all that is unholy - have more genre tags and let us combine tags for search results. If I'm in the mood for a sci-fi mecha sRPG I don't want to wade through the eShops whole "strategy" section. π¬
@FantasiaWHT What you say are true and factual and I agree 100%. What I meant was that if Nintendo thinks that any of the code for the emulator was made by reverse engineering and reusing snippets of their own code, or even other similarities that would make Nintendo feel slighted. Then they would have enough reason, or at at least enough for their lawyers to write up a cease & desist.
Emulators are in practise legal, both to make and distribute. But the moment Nintendo can prove that the distributor makes even a single cent of what they perceive as their property, either directly or indirectly, they're out of luck.
There's no doubt that Nintendo wants all news of current-system emulators squashed as they prepare for their next generation hardware. Even if it means strong-arming, threatening and bribing the emulation community into submission. I get it, I really do. But this tactic will probably not work for very long as more and more forks of the emulators will probably pop up.
I'm all for it, remove everything that can be interpreted as sexy or hot. Make everyone gender-less potatoe people and cover them 100% up from top to bottom. π
We need to make a list of every persons kink and what they find attractive and force developers to remove, cover or uglify said things. Give large trigger warnings if it must occur (after being vetted by a committee of course). Make gaming safe again! βοΈ
(I'm sorry for the use of hand-emojis, I know a percentage of the population finds hands sexy...oof I'll try to better myself in the future).
On a more serious note - Can't wait to play this one, it's been an embarrassing blindspot in my Xenoblade experience. The wait is almost over. π
TBH, the only thing that stops me from getting the Zelda Lite is the lack of good hall-effect sticks. I've had enough stick-drift problems as is.
OLED seems awfully nice and all, but with the amount of tactics and somewhat static image games I play I'm still a bit worried about burn-in. Not sure if the technology has gotten better at avoiding that?
But still, no denying that it's an awesome "Ultimate Edition" of a Lite. π
@Ryu_Niiyama Let's hope they've either learnt more about optimization or hired some capable help for this next one. Seems to ba a recurring thing in open world projects from small/new devs.
To this day I still wonder how the gaming industry would look if Sony and Nintendo came to an agreement and actually made the Nintendo PlayStation console. π€
@Kidfunkadelic83 At it's core it's just a souped up Harvest Moon/Story of Season game yes. It takes the best (mostly) aspects of these titles and packs it into one mega farming/time-management/social game.
Got some aspect of production optimization and light dungeon fighting. It's a chill game if that's what you're after.
As much as I love Dwarf Fortess for it's ever evolving and expanding game development. There comes a point where the scope of a game like Stardew Valley goes from being content rich to start getting bloated.
Don't get me wrong, Eric is a based developer and most of the content has been amazing. But I'm also excited for what he can cook up with that Chocolatier game now that he has the money and manpower to flex his creativity. π
It's a great tool for people who wants to tell a story in games, you can make slices of a game and get a feel for the flow of your story mixed with gameplay.
It can help hopeful future gamedevs to use rudimental animations and basic environmental storytelling and not to rely on walls of text.
And if your story is amazing you might even make an awesome game. π₯³
Just finished the demo. A nice slice of gameplay. Apart from the weapon system it seemed a bit simplistic. But it does lay the foundations for some nice combos and strategies. Somewhat hand-holdy, but I did spot that you can customise quest- and map-markers in the options menu.
Sadly the amount of breasts was over-promised. π So that shouldn't deter most people, unless a bit of cleavage is a no-go. Not a thirsty game as far as I can see.
I'm admittedly not a Advanced Wars fan, but the art style seemed a little plasticy and cheap to me. And a lot of fans seemed disappointed that they didn't lean more into the big multiplayer scene. But I guess budgets are a thing.

Re: Editorial: Gamers, Support The People And Sites You Love, Before It's Too Late
All I want from my gaming sites are news, rumors, previews and reviews.
Moral grandstanding and social-political commentary has made me shy away from most gaming news sites over the years.
Re: Two 3DS 'Harvest Moon' Games Find New Pastures On Switch In July
Yeah, nah. Grand Bazaar will be infinity better then these posers wearing Harvest Moon as a skin-suite.
I'm not always in the mood for cozy games, but when I am I want an actual quality experience.
Re: Talking Point: Which Nintendo Series Are You Most Excited To See Return On Switch 2?
Making me choose between Fire Emblem and Xenoblade is cruel. π
Re: Opinion: The Switch 2 Is A Powerhouse For The Price
The price is....ok I guess. But then again we do get taken for a ride here in Norway.
But not even considering getting one until I see where the general price of games land.
Re: The End of Joy-Con Stick Drift? The Switch 2's Controllers Have Been Redesigned From The Ground Up
If they had hall-effect sticks they'd have that info up-front and center. Improving on crappy sticks won't move the needle much.
Edit:
I stand corrected, you love to see it. π

I tried My Time at Sandrock on the Switch some time ago and it didn't run very smoothly. So them skipping the OG is a good thing IMO.

Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Professor Layton And The Miracle Mask
I much prefer the NA version. Symmetric, informative and good design.
EU is very informative and has more eye-catching colors/contrast, but much too busy and chaotic for my taste.
JP version works if you already know who the character is, if not it just gives off "Man-in-a-tophat-the-game" vibes.
