Well, it's certainly been a bit of a busier week for us here at Nintendo Life! Looking at game announcements, we're going to be getting Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards on the Switch Online Expansion Pass, plus Alan Wake has been confirmed for release on the Switch later this year. Finally, of course, we had a brand new Indie World showcase, bursting at the seams with lots of cool little eShop gems.
In other news, our very own NL community member Zuljaras created a remarkable DOOM sculpture, we took a look at the emergent narrative within Minecraft, and there's been a bizarre bit of drama surrounding the Fei Long character in Street Fighter! Last, but certainly not least of course, we saw the release of Nintendo's financial results for FY2022, begging the question as to when we might actually see the arrival of the Switch 2.
Now it's time to chill out and discuss our weekend gaming plans. A few members of the Nintendo Life team have done just that below, so feel free to give our entries a read and then join in with your own via our comment section. Enjoy!

This weekend, it’s a double dose of new, short RPGs, both of a very different kind! I’ll be diving into the Metroidvania-esque Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, which looks like a really neat little primer before the main event – Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes – hits next year. I don’t mind the idea of repetitive fetch quests right now; I just need a pleasant, low-stakes experience.
Also on the docket is Jump Over The Age’s Citizen Sleeper, a game that only popped up on my radar a few weeks ago. I stumbled upon the soundtrack, and the lo-fi synthwave beats practically screamed (hummed?) “pick the game up”! Our review also helped, too. More tabletop RPG, and much higher stakes, but similarly about people and communities. See you next week!

On the good 'ol Switch it's probably time for me to finally play Gris, about which I've heard great things. I've also started a fresh run in Civilisation VI in which I try to lead Robert the Bruce's Scotland to space; love the realism!
Elsewhere I've started a long overdue proper run of Yakuza: Like a Dragon, with the mission being to not fall off half way through the story this time around, or waste too much time in the karting minigame.

So I'm still working my way through Bioshock Infinite this weekend, because uhh... I didn't really play it last weekend, when I said I would. I'm sorry. I'm going to try and make some decent progress in it this time, though, and hopefully polish it off at some point before next weekend.
Elsewhere, I've decided to play through Red Dead Redemption 2 again on the PS5. I absolutely adore just getting lost in that game's world, and it's been long enough that I've largely forgotten quite a bit of the narrative.

This weekend is my first free weekend after two weeks of COVID followed by two weeks of a family visit, so I will be playing... SLEEP. Just kidding, it's video game time, babyyyy. Earthbound is the obvious one, because of Backlog Club, but I've also not stopped playing Slay The Spire yet! I've got 115 hours (I played it a lot over the past month) and I've only beaten the Heart twice (Defect x2). I got close with the Ironclad, but forgot to take the last key. I'm still salty about that.
Otherwise, it's going to be a mixture of watching my partner play Elden Ring, which is incredible, and trying out Dead Cells, which I bought for the first time in a sale a couple weeks ago. Not sure why I've been putting it off, to be honest — I love roguelikes — but I'm finding it a bit hard to get into, because it feels like I somehow skipped a tutorial? I have no idea. Please leave hints thank youuuu.

I'm just going to be getting my Wii U affairs in order. We finally got house internet last night!

I’m halfway in the Division 1 Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe league table and things can go either way. I do have some exceptional new players including Jams, the best Forward in the whole game to turn things around. Onward to the latest trilogy in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga with at very least The Force Awakens to do this weekend. Nice physical arrivals included Archvale and Deathsmiles 1+2.
Game of the week is Cotton Fantasy! While my physical edition is still somewhere down the road, ININ Games was kind enough to send me a review code. What a fantastic reboot! I can’t keep track of how many games Umihara Kawase guest stars anymore.
As always, thanks for reading! Make sure to leave us a comment below with your weekend gaming plans!

This weekend is all about DooM on Nintendo consoles! They have so much history!
I will continue with my playthrough of DooM (2016) on the Switch only playing from the cartridge (no updates at all) as I want to see if everything can be completed just from the cartridge
I will play around couple of levels on DooM 1 on both the SNES and the GBA
DooM 64 is a gem! It plays like the first 2 games but it is more dynamic! I love it!
I was going to start the expansion of DooM 3 but for obvious reasons I can't right now!
Crystar. I must admit that this one has taken me by surprise. The story is wonderful, clever, and thought provoking. The characters are surprisingly layered and deep, and the voice acting is really good. The actual gameplay can get a bit repetitive, but you can use different characters to mix things up a bit, and the story really drives it forward. It features an excellent portrayal of depression, grief, and guilt, and the representation of how Purgatory works is really clever, I thought. There are welcome moments of humour, but it is also emotional and touching. Quite unexpected! Have a great weekend, guys, and take care.
This week I will be mostly playing
Fire Emblem Awakening
I'm knee deep into Shin Megami Tensei V. First time playing these after Persona. Pretty good so far!
Eiyuden Chronicle for me.
It's not a great game, but Alana Hagues here puts it quite well. Low stakes comfort food. Really only for fans of games like Suikoden and that's me, so...
Looking at my backlog. I haven't played Mad Max yet. I finally have some time on my hands, so here we go
Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate on my New Nintendo 3DS XL. Later probably Super Street IV 3D Edition.
Penny punching princess on ps vita and some kitaria fables in co op
Just got a 3080ti GPU now that cards are back down to MSRP. I waited out the pandemic and scalpers and it paid off. Other than that. Trying to finish Metroid Dread.
Some DOOM, Gris maybe, Mario Kart 8 extra tracks, I’ve finished Limbo and Inside… I have no idea if I enjoyed them or not, but quite the experience regardless.
I will try getting a bit further into Cross Code
Epic Chef PS4 All Day Long. 🤓

I have cleared Magic League and have reached Silver rank Culinarim League.
The judge gimmicks from Magic League was pretty nasty, like there was a penalty such as Vigor + Spirit + Sophistication = -3X for 2 dishes Round 1, but it will be Normal for Round 2 so for the 1st round I have to make a dish with very high aroma but I have to toss the ingredients without stirring so all the flavors points will be vaporized and Zero flavors. With Zero flavors, I didn't get any minus scores for 1st round and for 2nd round I could make any dish with very high flavor points to win the cooking battle.
Certainly I will continue Epic Chef PS4 this night after dinner time.
Coincidentally, I'm going to finally start Gris, too. (Which means I'm also going to finally break my game hiatus caused by huge frustration from Smash's World of Light.)
Holy crap I'm finally at the final battle on Shining Force on the Genesis [Mega Drive] Collection for like the 30th time in my life after what feels like half a year! I'm going to finish that and then dig into the new OPUS game. Probably. More likely, I'll play through and delete all the demos and free games on my memory card to make more space before Xenoblade 3 fills it to capacity. Meanwhile, my 4-year-old is making good progress in Thomas Was Alone, Figment, Sonic Mania, and Pikuniku, and making me feel just a little uneasy about how GOOD he is at playing all those different games (not to mention how much he demands to play video games despite my best efforts to make him play with physical toys).
Finished Triangle Strategy. Honestly, the best srpg SE have ever made. Chilling out with Kuukiyomi - Consider it! today before starting Superliminal.
I can’t stop playing Splatoon 2 but I really want to continue Kirby and the Forgotten Land.
I also want to start a new file of one of my Switch favorites Astral Chain. It’s been a while.
Restarted Final Fantasy X this week so i'll continue with that mostly. Bought it 3 years ago and did not get into it. I'm about 10 hours in and enjoy it much more this time.
Other than that might finally pop in Kirby and start that one
Plus some grappledog for some good boy-time
Mostly Switch plans as always - RF5 and Saints Row 4, Xenoblade DE and 2, Dark Souls and NFS Hot Pursuit, freshly obtained Fairy Knights and earlier obtained Automachef, Bioshock 2 and Don't Starve and Dawn of Survivors, Fuga and DerQ, Immortals and BotW, likely some Ender Lilies and Regency Solitaire... plus the frequented handheld stuff like Etrian Odyssey, Endless Frontier, God Eater and Tales of Eternia. Might squeeze in a bit of laptop time as well, mostly to be spent on ESO, Just Cause 2, Assassin's Creed and even Genshin Impact - the long time itch I've decided to give a temporary PC scratch ahead of the long-cooked Switch port after all, especially after reading that miHoYo pledged to provide cross-save among all the platforms.
Fairune collection. Working on Fairune 1. It's challenging
Progressing more with FE Three Houses Black Eagles route and some MK8 Deluxe. Looking forward to playing the Golden Deer route of Three Hopes after having played all the routes in Three Houses (played Golden Deer route in 2019, the DLC and Blue Lions routes in 2020).
For me it's Shining Force II, Trials Of Mana Remake, and Elden Ring, of course.
Happy Saturday Nintendo Gamerz ©️!!! This week was significant for me because I gave up on Eastward, it was just too slow for me and the parts I liked I didn't like well enough to cover for the parts I did not.
So then this weekend I am splitting my time between Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth and wrapping up Ary and the Secret of Seasons. The former is just traditional Castletroid fun, no complaints (I like the bow!) While the latter is janky, junky and an absolute delight.
Started playing Gris around 4am during a bout of insomnia a few days ago, and moments into the intro promptly fell asleep to the lovely music, which I'm now listening to lots because it's great and wishing copies of the soundtrack weren't selling for a couple of hundred quid because vinyl collectors are all absolute monsters, but still haven't actually played Gris. So...I'll be playing Gris.
@shgamer oh my goodness!! I started this one this week as well! I have no idea if I'm enjoying it or not lol! How is it sitting with you? Does the map ever confuse you?
Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin Crash 4 Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3 (hardest difficulty) and I'll probably play Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart on Challenge Mode if I'm in the mood.
Wingspan's European Expansion, followed by some Card Sharks demo, and maybe a bit of Arms.
Road 96, this game is very well done, if you're not against Political Propaganda, then you will enjoy this one...
@Donutsavant Yeah, the map can be really confusing at times, so you really have to concentrate and think "out of the box" when using it.
It's not a particular easy game (I gave up on the last boss yesterday - simply couldn't do it), but still I like it (started over right after). It does have something that keeps me coming back to it.
But I do think you need to be a Batman fan to a certain degree and also like metroidvanias to really enjoy it (also it's a bit more than a standard 2.5D game as you sometimes can go "in and out" of the map a more 3D way - which is probably why the map often feels confusing).
@Royalblues the collection was $4.99 on the eshop. I think I grabbed it on the last day of the sale. At first I thought I made a mistake but as you progress through the game it gets better. I'm going to play them in order. If you like 8 bit adventure type games give it a shot. I think it cam be a little tough on where to go next so I walk around trying different things to move to the next level. I'll hopefully see it through and move on to fairune 2.
Art of Rally has been updated so will be getting back in to this great game. MotoGP 21 waiting for a sale on 22. Switch Sports as well of course really enjoying jumping around my front room!
I'm playing Crash Bandicoot 2 from the N Sane Trilogy. Almost done and will get all the gems but won't be bothering with the time trials as it can get really frustrating going for the platinums.
Also have Trine 2 on Wii U to finish which is a beautiful and fun game.
On playstation 5 I will try and finish the voice of the cards forsaken maiden and carry on with the trails of cold steel 1, I have put elden ring on hold for a week or two as its getting quite hard for me (atlus plains)
On the Nintendo switch I will carry on with fire emblem three houses, currently on chapter 17 with golden deer House and seems to be coming to an end soon.
Finished the episodes of Lego Skywalker Saga, so now it’s time for exploring and collecting! Otherwise continuing Triangle Strategy and Picross S5
Playing Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age - Definitive Edition - got it on last weeks sale. Wow - I'm impressed technically with what they were able to do with the Switch. Puts a lot of 1st party games to shame, with what they were able to do.
@SleepyAnimal Gris is a beautiful game. I did get the soundtrack digitally and I love the music. Enjoy!
I went back to Mario Maker 2 and tried some of my levels: it was fun! Looking at my levels I could see how much time that I put into that game. It is a great game!
I am alternating Hot Wheels Unleashed with Grid: two different racers that are fun to play back to back. And Rocket League.
Happy gaming everyone!
I have put Skyrim aside for a bit to play Earthbound. Also a bit of Slay The Spire and some board games. And Duolingo on my phone…. does that count?
I'm right before the final boss of Going Under, so I'll probably try to finish that. It's an incredibly fun and underrated roguelite. I heard complaints about it being punishing, but there are assist options that give you more hearts and stuff, which makes the game a smoother ride while still retaining some challenge. I may also do a bit more of the Kirby and the Forgotten Land post game content with my daughter as well.
A link between worlds, earthbound, and whatever the family wants to play.
Wario Ware: Get It Together and some Forza Motorsport 7...
I've finished Pixzel Lines DX and I decided to create a folder/group on my Switch for completed games so I can see that increase as my backlog (hopefully) decreases.
Titan Quest is next, which will probably take a while.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising and
Salt and Sacrifice
Twisted Metal 2 (PS) - On my last playthrough now, I saved Thumper for last.
Dr. Mario World (Android) - I went to play this and forgot the servers closed, rendering it unplayable
ExZeus 2 (Windows Phone) - I don't think I can top my scores anymore, so I dare say my journey is ending with this one.
On Switch I’ll be focusing on de Blob and Wolfstride. And if I can get around to it I’m gonna start Infinite Undiscovery on the Series X.
@Royalblues yah, give it a go. I figured I would keep going now that it seems more involved bit I did see that fairune 2 looks like an upgrade so now I want to finish the first one. Good luck! Hopefully I see this game through to the end!
This weekend begins part 3 of my Legend Of Zelda play throughs with A Link to the Past. And also playing Gris!
Wishing everyone a great weekend!
I usually work Sat/Sun/Mon but I took this week(end) off. I finished Elden Ring a while ago but I’m still picking at it a bit on a second character. I’m also still tackling SMT 4 on 3ds and jumping in and out of the other handheld games I got on sale.
I am sadly almost done with Michael Moorcock’s whole Eternal Champion sequence. I started with Elric months ago and got swept away and hunted down all the original paperbacks for Elric, Corum, Hawkmoon, and Erekose. I only have Corum 4-6 and a later Elric (Revenge of the Rose) left to read. I have a bunch of Champ saga adjacent books ready to go (Von Bek and Jerry Cornelius series) along with some unrelated Moorcock works. For my birthday I treated myself to a hardcover 1965 first edition signed copy of Stormbringer and my wife got me the gorgeous hardcover graphic novel adaptations of Elric.
I haven't had time for gaming all week, and just don't have a lot of energy, but there might be some Switching today. Thinking about Civilization VI playing as France (my go-to empire) and Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.
Alternating this with building the Lego Ideas Medieval Blacksmith (an amazing set!) and continuing my sweater. Currently working on sleeves, so about 2/3 done with that.
No gaming I’m reading the original Dracula Bram Stoker book xx
Been bouncing around a bit lately, but i recently decided to give Astria Ascending a second try (this time on the OLED) and I'm enjoying it much more than I did last time around (the menu text being in focus and readable makes a big difference)
Now that we actually have HOME support coming soon for BDSP and PLA, I'm going to try and undertake a particular challenge: get a shiny in all of the Switch-era Pokemon games I currently have before it comes out. In other words, one in SwSh (currently going for Deino), one in BDSP (currently going for either Gligar or Larvitar) and one HISUIAN mon in PLA (I've been in the Icelands for the past month just trying to get Rufflet, Bergmite or Zorua and have had no luck despite having all of their dex entries completed).
Apart from that, I just got to A Rank in Rainmaker and Tower Control in Splatoon 2 so I'll be continuing on with that in addition to hopefully finally beating Banjo Kazooie on NSO (I'm so close I can almost taste it).
@Dragonslacker1 fantastic choice, i loved that one 🙂
I'm leveling up my sphere grid in the Omega ruins of final fantasy 10. And being easy too excited for Eurovion tonight!
Go UK... And the Netherlands.... And Romania... And Ukraine... And..
Spending every second glued to World End Syndrome. Absolutely brilliant VN.
Kirby Forgotten World, Mario Party Superstars, Xenoblade Chronicle 2, and Mayhem Brawler.
Mega Man 10, hopefully, and Knights of the Round.
@Zuljaras Been a Doom fan since 1995 and I own them all physically on Switch except for Eternal of course. In other words, the ones you have in the picture. Back in the 90's I had them for PC, Jaguar, 32X, Playstation and SNES. Never had the 3DO version which I heard is for the best, lol. Never tried the Saturn version either but did play the GBA version in the early 2000's.
@Ooyah Yeah I just got Crystar in the mail yesterday and plan on getting into it after I finish World End Syndrome.
This Weekend i'll be playing some retro games.
Glover (N64)
Super Star Wars (SNES)
Soulcalibur III (PS2)
Started playing the classic Bullfrog PC game Magic Carpet yesterday. Was on my mind over the past week, so want to play it again since I have the GOG version. Also, itching for some Apex arenas, this will be on either PC or Switch.
Maybe couple of other games that I can't think of yet, hopefully Mario Kart 8 for those DLC tracks.
@Zuljaras Have fun Dooming. Physically, I have Doom on GBA, and Doom 2016 on Switch. I have Doom and Doom II on PC digitally, but the DRM-free versions GOG has, this way I always have it (they install and play without Internet needed, like older CD-ROM games).
Sadly, nothing from me this week. I don't have a good opportunity to play games comfortably. At least, on Nintendo Switch. I haven't played games on my Android smartphones for some time. I'll try to charge my Switch today and will try to play-- Wait... No, it's not possible. So... I'll just try to finish Retro City Rampage DX on my second phone, or will try to replay The Westport Independent on my first phone, or will replay Oh...Sir!! The Hollywood Roast on my second phone... Well... Have a nice gaming weekend, everyone.
Finished up with Team Sonic Racing’s adventure mode the other day and now into uncharted territory. I attempted a few games in my back long but had a hard time falling in love with any of them. So I turned on Monster Hunter Rise in prep for the massive expansion coming late June. A few event quests down with 15 or so left to conquer. That, Tetris 99 & Halo Infinite will hold me down this week
Kirby and the forgotten land on switch..and maybe starting a second playthrough of Bloodborne on ps5. Have a lovely weekend folks!
Splurged on some discounted/cheap games this week and am enjoying them all!
First, I finally gave Celeste a try and already finished it. It’s every bit as good as it was made out to be. The characters and story are great, and the platforming is masterful. 10/10 game easily. Going for some more strawberries and do my best to complete some B-Sides.
Second, I finally played Final Fantasy 7 after getting a half off discount for it on the eShop, and I can now see why it’s one of the greatest video games of all time. The story and combat are just so good! Going to continue on in that game, and might buy 8 after that.
Third, I’ll play a little bit of Wrestling Empire for the Switch. It’s one of the most fun 6/10 games I’ve ever played. It’s really janky, but never fails to put a smile on my face.
Finally, I’ll play some Mom Hid My Game. A nice little comedy puzzle game that’s really cheap on the eShop right now.
I might fit in some Kirby and the Forgotten Land as well if I have time. Have a good weekend, everybody!
@Sunsy I love GOG so much because of no DRM. I wonder how do they survive depending on human decency One purchase of a GOG release is enough for the whole universe
Me:
Me and Wife:
Zombie Army 4
Right up there with Sniper Elite 4 and Strange Brigade when it comes to recent single player and online co-op third person shooting that is just plain fun, as challenging as you want it to be, nice progression systems, and definitely not least, AMAZING port work. Rebellion is easily one of my favourite devs for Switch, I hope they manage to port Sniper Elite 5 as well. I thought they couldn't do 4, yet they absolutely nailed it. I thought ZA4 would be too much, but here it is in all its gory glory. It's one of the only games I still bought physical, nearly full price (€40 instead of €50, season 1 included, and I'm considering the other seasons even, but I still hope SE4's dlc will go on sale, I'm not rich in money, and have rescue dogs to feed and forest to buy so they won't be cut down in the name of 'progress')
Under night in birth on switch. It was delivered this week but I haven't started it yet.
Tales of Zestiria on PS4. I couldn't resist the $5.99 sale price. Liking it so far.
I'll be continuing my globetrotting in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy on 3DS. I'm in chapter 4 and just started hunting for "eggs"; maybe I should've played this one closer to Easter? XD Level-5 really stepped up the 3d effect and animations in this entry. Shame it's the last proper game (release wise) that features the puzzle-loving professor.
On Switch, I'm taking a break from post game stuff in Brilliant Diamond. With the impending XC3 in July, I'm itching for some Xenoblade again and will be booting up Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna - The Golden Country for the first time later. I finished XC2 a few months ago and am VERY intrigued by Torna: TGC's premise. No spoilers from me!
Happy gaming!
Edit: I've played about three hours of Torna so far and am quite enjoying it! It's interesting to see how the world of Alrest functioned 500 years ago.
I am now roughly 30 hours into Xenogears. I was playing a lot on Thursday night and oh my God I just couldn't stop playing 😂 I was up until like 2 AM. I just finished the part where Billy and the party get back to the Ethos HQ where we find everyone has been killed. I'm very eager to get back into it this weekend, the only reason I stopped was because I needed to sleep at least a little bit 😂
Kirby and the Forgotten Land. So much fun!
completed the main story and post game of Kirby and the Forgotten Land, now trying to beat the last cup of the Colosseum.
First time post here!
Normally I focus all my attention on one to two games… usually an adventure or RPG and always a casual indie or puzzler on the side… but right now I am about 70% through Oracle of Seasons on game boy color… It’s a really hard Zelda in my opinion, but I am also terrible/not ashamed to use a guide.
Cu-On-Pa SFC for SNES on the side for short sessions. I really love everything about Cu-On-Pa SFC.
Also running through Kirby Star Allies with 5 year old son as we demolished Kirby and The Forgotten Land on release. He is a little completionist that one!
Have a fun and safe weekend everyone .
I WOULD be playing Ocarina of Time 3D, but I wanted to play it on a New 3DS XL, which I’ve been wanting for a while. And yes, I know you can get the Japanese version on eBay cheap, but they’re all auction so people keep jacking up the prices and its making me really mad. So I guess I’ll be playing Gun Raiders and Gorilla Tag.
Working down the backlog. Took a break from Astral Chain to finally play Doom and I am glad I did. This is the 2017 Doom and my first go at it and it is so much better than I thought it would be considering I am not really much for FPS games.
When I finish that I need to finally finish Astral Chain and then No More Heroes 2.
Will start kirby and shining pearl but will mostly play haven and rune factory 5.
Evil Dead bayyybeeeee
Donkey Kong Country 4 and Zelda Oracle of Ages on 3DS
Alice Madness Returns on xbox360
Madden and NHL Double Pack on Mega Drive
The Lucky Dime Caper starring Donald Duck on Master System
I’m getting distracted by side quests in Ys VIII. Definitely close to closing out Chapter 5. Just had the Super Rare Games physical of Archvale arrive, so I may dip into that. Also, seven hours into SMT IV on the 3DS and loving it. Happy weekend!
I started playing Tunic this morning and wow such a lovely game this far hope it will come to switch it have this Zelda vibe with beautiful art style and tight controls if you can play this game go play it if you are a Zelda fan.
Dungeons of Dreadrock - a really cute zelda-dungeon-art-vibes Puzzle game with a cute story and voice overs. It annoyingly doesn't allow Pro Controller and considering it only uses d-pad and rarely a couple other buttons, it someone still has a remarkably bad control scheme. Despite those flaws, still a really fun, cute, and addictive little game.
Captain Toad Treasure Tracker - I guess I'm in a puzzle mood this week. I never finished this game and just bring it out for a few puzzles off and on.
Pokemon Arceus - I played this a lot at the beginning but then just stopped it without finishing the main story. It's a fun game but less addictive than some Pokemon games. After this long break I'm ready to jump back in.
Deponia - this was originally $40 dollars on Switch, then dropped to $20, then was on sale for $2. At that price I just had to know why this whacky point and click game was so (im)famous.
On a side note, I really want to play Rogue Legacy 2... I hope it comes to Switch eventually.
Starting up Xenoblade Chronicles 2 to try and finish before Sunbreak comes out next month and Xeno 3 comes out in July!
I kicked my weekend off, playing Mortal Kombat X, as I was in the mood for a fighting game. I’m also looking to start Octopath Traveler, at some point as well this weekend. Beyond that, it’ll probably be the usual family games IE Mario Kart 8, Super Smash Bros: Ultimate, etc.
On Vita I'm slowly playing through the beginning of Trails in the Sky. On Switch, I'm doing post-game stuff on Brilliant Diamond and on PS5, more Elden Ring
Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
Guess I will boot up Wii Sports for Switch….
@Royalblues yah, it's getting pretty good now.
Dragon Quest 11, and finally going to go back into World End Syndrome finally.
I finished Rogue Legacy 2 on Steam, so now I want to focus all my Steam Deck time on Horizon Zero Dawn. I've been having a lot of fun with it so far, but RL2 completely stole my attention for a couple weeks, so now it's time for me to continue my trek to Meridian.
My Collector's Edition copy of Evil Dead: The Game will be arriving shortly, so I'll also be having a pretty groovy weekend thanks to that. I can't wait to cut and blast through tons of Deadites! I'll definitely try playing as them as well, but I always prefer playing as a survivor in asymmetrical multiplayer horror games.
If I get in any time on my Switch, my copy of One Step from Eden arrived from LRG, so I'll probably get in some of that. I also need to get back to Xenosaga Episode II soon if I want to get through the older Xeno games before Xenoblade 3 is out...
Replaying Donkey Kong Frozen ape and Cash Banoka 4 as well as trying out COD warzone for the first time.
@Judgedean
Finishing DQ11 myself this weekend, and I don’t want it to end! Easily one of the best RPGs I’ve ever played, right up there with FF6 and P4G.
The same thing I play every day, Switch Sports Soccer and Volleyball. I just unlocked the squirrel costume and just learned that you can move around in Volleyball so that's been a ton of fun. I ran into Matt playing 1v1 Soccer the other day, but he beat me, so I'm going to have to try that again if I want to record the win.
On a big RPG kick. Just finished Phantasy Star and Dragon Quest 2, and now addicted to Earthbound.
Trying to finish up the Triangle Strategy demo is my main focus. Then I have a couple of demos to play (Card Shark and the shmup called "Galaxy..." something and something or other (sorry not near my Switch to check at the moment).
@Zuljaras was there an physical release of DOOM 64 for switch ?
I'll be trying to finish fishing collection in fortnite and getting a bit better at killer Instinct on xbox series s, playing as sabre wulf and rash.😁
Luigi's Mansion 3 and when I complete it I will probably be going back to Link's Awakening. Got fed up with it a while back trying to follow all the signposts.
13 Sentinels. What a weird game but I can't stop playing it. If I had to describe it, it's like a point and click where words are your objects with a tower defense game in between. Was always thinking of picking it up on PS4 but when it came to the Switch I jumped on it.
I am ten hours into bravely default 2 and loving it now I have got to grips with the battle system! Also tried out death's door and curse of the dead gods I got on sale and now struggling to decide which to boot up..... Good weekend everyone 👍
@Ninfan Yes unfortunately it was a limited edition from LRG
@Zuljaras Yeah, there's been times the power was out, or the Internet was down, and I was still able to play my GOG games, and even install them onto my laptop. Only time the net is really needed is the initial download, after that, I back up the game and have it forever.
I do buy PC games on Steam, because of no DRM, I usually check GOG before Steam if a game I want is on it.
@Zuljaras #1
That's really cool!
That reminds me, that if you have a flash cartridge for the GBA, there's something you should try! Someone made a port of the PC version of Doom to the GBA and it's incredibly accurate and smooth playing.
Started Xenoblade 2 for the first time. About 15 hours in so far. Starting to get my head around the gameplay so I am enjoying it so far. It's definitely not the most accessible game, and has its flaws. Not as good as Xenoblade DE so far, but that could change. Also should get back to my play through of Final Fantasy X. Was getting tired about 2 thirds of the way through. I seem to be a sucker for JRPG's, but they are such a time sink! I can play them for hours and still never finish them!
