I'm so glad I bought this on launch, unlike a lot of people, honestly. I still have a good chunk of time clocked in and so it's good that Konami is keeping up their deal on rolling out the free updates til now. Will check this out in a little.
NOTE: To anyone who shops at Best Buy and is waiting for a price drop to justify picking this up, you'll be able to nab Super Bomberman R for half off ($25) for one of their Black Friday sales. Iirc, lowest price out of the retail sales I've checked.
@Kisame83 Too bad it doesn't come quite close to those sales you mention, but something like Best Buy's GCU could get you closer to $30(around 32-33 actually).
Nabbing DOOM, and possibly Mario Party and LA Noire(though the crazy download has kinda made me iffy on it)...
And why the hell have I been compelled to buy UNO? xD I know at least one friend downloaded it a few days ago but hmm...
Cat Quest for some reason catches my eye but we'll see...
And isn't Rocket League supposed to hit retail at an unknown date? I'd honestly rather have it on cartridge if possible anyways, not to mention due to all this 'mandatory multi gig download'ing on some 3rd party stuff.
I have a loooong ass flight coming up at the end of the month so looks like I'll at least have plenty to hold my attention...
@Handsomistic15 That's what has had me on my edge for the longest time. GS: Dark Dawn left on cliffhangers and I was hoping for a 3DS sequel... the only way I can be appeased now is if they develop it for the Switch(while going back to the series' roots some, namely difficulty wise).
Golden Sun <--- it's like they would rather develop a new one once per decade now. >:V
@Nintendoforlife Could be me, but there are some games that I'd record the cutscenes for(ones that change based on your answers, etc)that could be between a min or two(w/o having to speed through the text). Hell, there are a few things I've done that I'd love to have had recorded that probably were at least a min.
I'll give this a test later but I know I'll be awaiting the longer times personally!
This is way more like it, imo. When I first heard the 30 sec limit I was like 'oh c'mon, we could at least get a couple min'... I hope it does get upped.
I'm curious on how the physical version will fare, looking back @ NBA 2K18... Either way, I'm probably going to get it still as this is the release of theirs I'm keen to get back into.
And to think I was considering picking this up, too, since it seemed amusing when I saw it in the 'coming soon' section of the eshop. I may very well snag this soon.
I have more multiplayer games than I realized... xD
The Switch section has been 'coming soon' for...how long now? I'd def use my coins up if that finally came about. The only one of these I'd have considered is Zen Pinball and I already own that(on 3DS).
@alpha5099 That's how I was essentially. I watched the anime since the beginning until the beginning of the 4th gen and I somehow skipped over the Gen II games til some years later...after playing both Gen I and Gen III while they were airing. It's still beyond me considering I've since played through Crystal.
@Kimyonaakuma Back late, but that I could get behind and would be kinda amusing, though it may not bode well for those guys' self esteem unless they can accept that Mario is just quite agile for a guy of his body type. xD
@Anti-Matter @Kimyonaakuma Unless some of those guys at least remotely look/seem like they could have a bit of a nerdy 🤓 side to them and actually play said games(and even then...), muscles are still almost as overrated as boobs.
Find some guys with only slightly toned bodies and then we can talk about being interested in those promotions. 😎 After all, Mario looks to have more of a dad bod if we are going there.
P.S. We also got shirtless Shulk in Smash Bros. @ comment #36
@Meuz I probably laughed at that a little more than I should have.
This game is pretty addicting, even if challenging. I've yet to make it pass 30% completion but it's one of those games that has you be like 'oh c'mon, you can get farther than that' and, boom, you're suckered into another round.
Every time Fast RMX has been updated, it's dragged me back to the game for a bit and, yeah, it's def a reminder of how good the game is and often it just gets better.
I also still play Tumbleseed to this day, as I still haven't finished all the quests, and I take a gander at the high scores because it has that allure to it of 'maybe this time I'll be able to do even better' now that I've gotten more patient with the game.
@justin233 @ThomasBW84 Ikr? I was just gonna ask about Pan-Pan myself, which I'm def downloading.
Otherwise, I downloaded the POT demo, grabbing Metroid from retail, am getting 36 Fragments of Midnight and considering Semispheres atm; the latter I mayyyy see if I can see a review first.
I was wondering wth happened to the game the last couple weeks. It caught my eye in the 'coming soon' section of the Switch eShop as today's date but then it wasn't featured since.
With that price point, along with the trailer to boot, it pretty much has me sold. So the lil gem that was Kamiko for $5 and now this... ^.^
@JaxonH No need to explain yourself on that first part, heh... totally get you because the Switch really does have a lot of potential from all corners, whether official support or 'fan' support.
And I've only waded in the water on some of these games/series before. I'll likely be buying all 3 Bethesda games and L.A. Noire from Rockstar(not to mention I'm likely also nabbing Wwe and either FIFA or NBA) to show these third parties support and because I'd pretty much be playing the titles not in parenthesis for the first time, so this lil hybrid system is already shooting up the list of favorite consoles thus far.
A shame the one day shift I have this week means I'll miss the direct later on today, but I'll try to look at it after without reading any articles.
As always, keeping my expectations low so I can at the least be pleasantly surprised hopefully. Hoping to see an interesting new announcement or two though.
P.S. I'm REALLY keen to hear something about Shakedown Hawaii! That would be great news for me. x.X
This game is great stuff...a strangely addicting lure to it in a way though I haven't made it close to a 100% completion yet. I like the music, too.
This one swarm level straight up kicked my ass though... xD It seemed like I couldn't quite get near the reactor due to champions consistently chasing me away in droves.
@Marshi You ain't frickin lying there. Have loved this game since release but this side note on the CPU racer AI had me laser focused. xD If it weren't for the racers potentially being in one rank in a race and a totally different rank in another, not sure I could've kept a good enough pace to get a better rank. :V
@Dakt That's what I thought of when I saw this. I mean it's nice that they will have it displayed clearly on the packaging but it's an ick feeling that has put me off this game as of now, when I was leaning toward snagging it.
I mean I have a 128gb card, but I intended that for eShop only purchases(so my Switch would be future proof as I buy retail), not half-assed space for what should be fully included in PHYSICAL game purchases. -.- I'm likely still getting WWE 2k18, but this hopefully isn't a sign for things to come with others....
@Aaron09 @Anti-Matter Thanks for the chuckle with this conversation; Needed it.
@Anti-Matter P.S. Both six-packs/'muscles' and boobs are overrated af.
@AlwaysGreener That's the kinda thing that stuck out to me, too, since the trailer. Won't turn a shoulder ultimately, but makes it feel a little...off to me.
@Tempestryke I'm right with you there. I originally was excited to start a collection of mini consoles, but after the NES classic mess, I'm not interested in any of this bull. Those dreams were shattered long ago, unfortunately.
@russellohh I'm referring to the fact that we get cheated/penalized for not purchasing games digitally as far as this 'rewards'(if you can even use that word here) system goes. Why am I only allowed 12 gold points for a retail Switch game just because I bought the packaged version while someone gets 60 for downloading the same game?
The gold points are obviously going to be used for the more sought after rewards because they actually require you to buy games, should the system do anything halfway decent for once, and here we are barely getting jack for being just as 'loyal', simply because we'd rather have our games in our hands.
Trust me, having Best Buy's gamer club membership, I'm well aware we can get physical games cheaper. :3
I've been waiting for this update and glad Konami has actually been supporting this game. This will suck me right back into the game and add a gazillion more hours in the long run. :v
This is one of those odd times you'll see me vote that I'm NOT excited at all.
I couldn't get a NES Classic, let alone actually even see or touch one to be assured it ever existed, so I'm not going to be wasting any of my time being excited for yet another mess.
After a few hours in so far, this game has sucked me in like I expected and more. I'm loving it and hope it can do well despite the late timing. It's definitely looking like a twilight gem for the 3DS!
@BacktoNarnia Hey, I'm just saying she relates to the matter more so than a number of clones and other choices is all; I get your point though.
Personally, I feel the history on a Nintendo system/more of a history with Nintendo should be ahead of just being a significant character, seeing as it is a Nintendo game, so I'd put her above the likes of Steve, though I'll say I'm definitely puzzled that Rayman hasn't made it into the game yet over some others and agree on him.
And, hey, it can always help bring exposure(being someone not really into FE games, I can say that Smash has implanted some of its characters in my memory and has made me more aware of the games), so that's always a plus for anyone involved... Not to mention she's also being exposed more and more nowadays, unlike, sadly, Isaac from Golden Sun(dang it, Camelot and waiting like 8 years between games...)
@BacktoNarnia I don't see how Shantae should be ruled out given that she started out on Ninty handhelds(GBC, DS, 3DS, and now Switch) and, up til just recently, pretty much is a mainstay with Nintendo. She is also another character that definitely wouldn't be a clone, which is already enough of a problem.
This approach is definitely making things a bit more interesting, imo. So far there's always something catching my eye in that timespan, if not something I just straight up buy(and that goes for third party/indie stuff, too).
@Gerbwmu I actually wouldn't be completely opposed to that idea.
I'll be picking up Ever Oasis tomorrow from Best Buy(it's really caught my attention through the trailers and I did like what little was shown in the demo), and chances are I'll be grabbing RPG Maker Fes next week as well should things go well. :3
Only thing I'll 'download' this week is the player.
@Angelic_Lapras_King I know, haha. I was going off the crazy basis that we'd even be able to play as a group of 30 anyways. If only it could be that close to the actual match.
@Angelic_Lapras_King @SmaMan You know how chaotic that would be? Ahahahahaha. And what if by some sheer dumb luck nobody is eliminated by the time entrant #30 is in the ring? xD
This would be an instabuy for me as well, being a longtime fan of the games/show(even if it isn't quite the same nowadays) and, as said before, it's another great overall addition to the system's library to show that Ninty is to be taken a bit more seriously again.
Not to mention that all this 'on the go'-ness is straight up music to my ears.
