Calling it now, Sega will work with Playboy to promote the next Sonic game.

The game's development cycle isn't rushed, the story might be too serious for its own good but doesn't seem to deviate to creepy levels, and the gameplay is using the tried and tested boost formula, that was praised in Unleashed, Colours and Generations. It's not going to set any records on Metacritic but so far the game looks passable. Please get off the bandwagon.

I find it funny how you cover this story but not the Sonic Forces story trailer.

Sega is operated by the Yakuza most likely so this is actually a fairly moderate promotion compared to the other promotions they could have run where people have money extorted, people killed, or welfare scams.

@Anti-Matter @Kimyonaakuma Unless some of those guys at least remotely look/seem like they could have a bit of a nerdy 🤓 side to them and actually play said games(and even then...), muscles are still almost as overrated as boobs.

Find some guys with only slightly toned bodies and then we can talk about being interested in those promotions. 😎 After all, Mario looks to have more of a dad bod if we are going there.

@AlternateButtons That’s usually what happens with a Sonic game. Barely anybody gives the series a chance and expects every game to be crap.

Thank Jeebus for Sonic Mania as this game looks awful. All these 3d Sonic games are exactly the same, just push forward QTEs and the 2d sections are near as bad.

The only recent 3d game that tried something new was Lost World and while it was far from perfect that is the base the 3d games should have continued to build from as it was the most control I had ever had with Sonic in a 3d space.

Happy to be proven wrong with this game but all evidence to the contrary.
