Re: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Breaks Series Records With US Launch Sales

Lalivero

I'm another Switch owner who has no interest in buying this game. I'm also another who feels it does nothing to justify paying full price. (Maybe if it were $40 or less, which would essentially knock it down to half off, at most, with GCU)

I've been having a lot of fun still with Fast RMX, Bomberman, Puyo Puyo Tetris, etc if I need a multiplayer fix, so yeah... consider this game skipped. :v

If you're having fun with this though, kudos to you. I guess the wait is on with MK9....

Re: 1-2-Switch, Snipperclips and Super Bomberman R All Had Positive Launches on Nintendo Switch

Lalivero

I know a lot of people have complained about Bomberman's pricing but I can say that, personally, I got it for $40 with my GCU and it's definitely been worth its money. It only seals that deal with the fact that Konami is actually supporting the game, so it'll be worth it even more as it naturally slides down in price.

I have over 70 hours clocked so far in the game and can easily see it climbing quite a bit higher over the system's life due to it being a blast(no pun intended) with others; it's a great multiplayer title as expected.

Re: The FAST RMX Update Has Almost Crossed the Finish Line

Lalivero

This game has been a lot of fun, so nice to see it getting even better.

I think I'm another victim of rubberband-ing moments; it's like the cpus are sometimes fooling you into thinking you're doing great, then shoot into beast mode the moment they see fit. 😂

It doesn't seem as bad though now, considering I -did- completely suck at the game at first.

Re: Poll: What Wii U Ports Would You Like to Play on Nintendo Switch?

Lalivero

Where is the 'none' option, like some others have proposed?

NOTE: The -only- 'port' I can see being reasonable, if doing anywhere near full retail price, is Smash, if it includes all the content from both games.

After seeing Lego City Undercover for $60 for Switch, heck nah. Unless they become priced like Wii games on the Wii U(aka reasonably), that's just ridiculous. It's not like they're gonna be like a portable 3DS version where we tended to get ports for at least $20 less.

Wasn't Nintendo having a hard enough time balancing games between two consoles, too? With the 3DS out, adding in a zillion Wii U ports to Switch only resurfaces that issue because, while the 3DS is out and blooming(even if only two years more, afawk), it'd be exactly that issue again.

Maybe once the 3DS is officially dead and some more time has passed, -and- they decide to be reasonably priced.

@SLIGEACH_EIRE For once I agree with you. I mean it's not like the Wii U is some decades old console where the games are super hard to find(and for far cheaper than the full retail price it would be as a port).

@Yasume It's an odd day when I agree with the two of you, but I was about to make a similar post.

Re: Playtonic on the Development Progress of Yooka-Laylee on Switch

Lalivero

@NowhereMan11 How much is Playtonic paying you for the extended PR talk on their behalf?

...but, seriously, how many developers have claimed time after time how much they loooove Nintendo but refuse to bring anything to Nintendo platforms, or, if they do, it's a mess that clearly isn't worth anyone's time? Being a 'massive fan' holds next to no merit with how loosely it has been tossed around for some time.

I can understand with it being tough to get Switch devkits, but anyone who likes to toss around about the Wii U being dead as a reason... how long has that been known? Why the heck even waste time starting the project when the Wii U has basically been DOA for a long, long time, if that truly is a reason? Now, as has been pointed out a million times above, if this doesn't release ASAP, it's gonna just be another full priced game on Switch months later when it'll already have likely dropped considerably on every other platform and most who want it will have it elsewhere; and why bother at that point? Then (Ninty in this case) fans will once again be blamed for something that really isn't their fault when sales aren't as expected; after a promising start.

As @rjejr pointed out, there's something seemingly very shady about the way Playtonic handled the Wii U situation, and now I'm not 100% sure on the Switch, honestly.

It's a shame, too, considering I rarely care for anything Kickstarter related, and this group is already stirring controversy when I wanted to believe they were another gem in the rough like WayForward with Shantae.

Re: Nintendo Switch and Zelda: Breath of the Wild Lead Media Create Sales in Japan

Lalivero

@Dezzy Since this kind of console highly appeals to Japanese folk, maybe some simply bought the console because they see the potential?( they do tend to get games at a faster pace than the west)

I mean you can also argue who'd buy a Switch for Zelda when the game is available for a console that's already been out and a number of them probably already have, too.

Re: Feature: Ten Useful and Fun Little Details to Know About Nintendo Switch

Lalivero

@ThomasBW84 So points you get for retail games vary by region or something? While you say y'all got 16 gold points for BoTW, I only got 12.

This whole My Nintendo mess is a true headache... >_> It's essentially worthless when compared to Club Nintendo in all possible ways. At this point, I'd rather there just not be a rewards system if I'm just going to be punished this badly because I'd rather buy my games boxed.

Re: Feature: Some of Our Favourite Legend of Zelda Games

Lalivero

@Pants98 Minish Cap is my favorite Zelda, so I agree with you on it(similar to most 2D Zelda games) being totally underrated.

@bolt05 Yes, to the Gameboy Zeldas! It's tough competition between them really. I love both you and @What_Sthat for having MC and the Oracle duo up there, too, though I have to disagree and put Ages above Seasons personally. :3 (That is where we're gonna have some problems... xD)

Re: New My Nintendo Awards Are Now Live in North America

Lalivero

Why should anyone even bother collecting coins if we're -never- gonna actually be rewarded for it/be able to spend them?

When I first thought maybe they'd have something at least worthwhile ready for the Switch launch(if just more to truly tempt you to spend them), I've held onto my coins so dang tight that you'd need the jaws of life to get them, and...yeah, still essentially nothing.

Re: Eiji Aonuma Lists His Top Three Favorite Zelda Games

Lalivero

My top three would probably be:

1. Minish Cap
2. Oracle of Ages
3. Majora's Mask

@Blizzia @ROBLOGNICK @Shambo (your current) Y'all get points from me for sharing Minish Cap as the top spot. :3

@Blizzia I see we agree with our lists, except the obvious #2 difference, heh.

I'm glad to see a number of people with 2D Zeldas in their top favorite lists, especially seeing as they are typically underrated, imo.

Re: Nintendo Releases Updated Nintendo Switch Trailers

Lalivero

Outside of 12S being the highlight, it's nice seeing the advertisements ramped up. I literally just saw both of these commercials while randomly watching TV in the past hour, not far apart either. It's nice to see a Nintendo console commerical again.

Re: First Impressions: Explosive Action in Super Bomberman R

Lalivero

This has also been a must buy for me at launch as well. Have always had a blast(no pun intended) with Bomberman games so glad to see he's back.

I haven't seen anything yet, and it's probably a long shot knowing Ninty, but has anyone heard of if the Switch will have any kind of download play?

Re: Feature: Five New Year's Resolutions for Nintendo

Lalivero

@LoveSugoi You are spot on with point 5. Where's my Ice Climbers revival?

And, speaking of 'forgotten' series, I'm about to hunt down and hold Camelot hostage if we hear nothing about a GS: Dark Dawn sequel soon enough! >:v

@JaxonH I know GameCube VC has me and a couple of friends/coworkers of mine sold, along with N64 and pretty much everything else officially portable. Hell, one of them, who hasn't given a damn about Nintendo outside of Pokémon in years, is so hyped about the Switch that he's kept telling us that we should make sure we have off and at least attempt to catch one of the hands-on events.

Re: Hands On: Embracing Freedom in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Lalivero

@Kirk It's a little hard to tell which part of that last reply isn't sarcastic(at least what you originally wrote), but, to clarify, I wasn't calling you a nobody or saying bits of your argument aren't correct.

But, really, look over how you've put out a number of your point(s) and tell me that you aren't being a bit of a hypocrite here. You spend half of your time here walking all over how (apparently) the author of this article is crapping all over other games that have had lots of time and effort into them as well, yet are basically acting as if Ninty just scribbled BotW onto the Wii U, threw some animation in, and tada. All you've done is talk about how horrible it looks(it doesn't even seem like the few nice things you tossed in are legit feelings) pretty much and how everything else, even from last gen, is superior. Now why does this look familiar...

Btw, I wasn't even 'fan'-ing BoTW; hell, I personally find Sun/Moon's direction a bit more appealing, and we know that, technically, that is obviously -far- below anything shown off in points here(then again, that's 3DS talk anyways, so...).

Re: Hands On: Embracing Freedom in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Lalivero

@Kirk ...so wee-weeing all over Zelda somehow makes your argument here hold more water? Of course Zelda isn't the -best- looking game ever(who even made that claim again?), but to make it out like the game looks like complete trash to make that point... Sounds to me like you're doing -exactly- what you're jabbing at this article about, no? If anything, hell, FAR beyond what you are making out the article to be doing.

@Lalivero - no profanity, please, partially-censored or not.
