Re: Review: Hyrule Warriors Legends (New 3DS / 3DS)

Knuckles

@DoctorOverbuild Honestly, it is hard to say. Yes, the Wii U gets most of the new content that the 3DS will get, but I find it hard to rule out that the NX may get a port with all content for just 60-70 dollars.

I'm getting the 3DS version regardless.

@Damo I was just used to hearing near universal praise for Hyrule Warriors that I needed the reminder that no game is perfect, and that not everyone likes the same things.

It is really a niche audience, the Warriors games. Thanks for the reminder that I may get bored while playing this.

Considering how I have not played the Wii U version, I am excited for this!

@Damo I was a bit surprised, yet pleased while reading this review.

I was surprised that you didn't like the original Hyrule Warriors, and that you would be writing this review, considering you didn't like the original.( This is the impression I received from the first paragraph)

However, it makes sense. Why give a game to someone who is a noticible fan of the series? While they may know more, at the same time, they have a certain bias that someone who isn't wouldn't have.

Your review was a refreshing read of expect from Hyrule Warriors Legends. Excellent read, good job.

@TeoXique At the moment, you can only register downloaded games. If you used Club Nintendo with your Wii/DS/Wii U/3DS connected in the settings, then you should know what I am talking about. You download the game, and either fill out a survey or just get points/coins

@Windy Sorry for replying so late, educational studies kept me busy. I don't know if I still have any skill in ATV as when I played with you guys I was constantly on the tracks practicing and trying to get first in everything or break my best time.

Anyway if you can schedule a 4 man race, make sure to @ Notify me and I'll try my best to make it.

Re: 'Special Reveal' Teased for Sonic the Hedgehog Anniversary Panel at SXSW

Knuckles

@NintendoFan64 I can verify that there are many Sonic fans who liked that game. As for why, I can't definitively tell you. Some like the story, others think the gameplay is fun. They like the game for the same reasons that we like other games.

As for me, I think it is one of the worst Sonic games released but I think it had potential. I would love to playthrough the game if it were released on PC because Modders would fix all if not the majority of issues in the game. Would it be considered good? I don't know, I didn't find the Adventure games amazing, but I would like to play it regardless. That story though can burn up in a volcano. Its no use trying to save it.

Re: Tomy Seems To Think Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice Has Been Delayed For A Second Time

Knuckles

There will be a 25th Anniversary game. The only game that was not even considered an anniversary game was Sonic 3D Blast, which released on the 5th anniversary year of Sonic. 10th, Sonic Adventure 2. 15, Sonic 06, 20th, Sonic Generations.
The head of Sonic Team said that they hadn't had a 20th anniversary game in mind for 2011, only the Olympic games. However, he realized they needed one and started Generations. They are not missing the 25th anniversary. Sonic Team has not released a home console game since 2013 with Lost World. It does not take a full dev team to make and maintain Sonic Runners, which Sonic Team made and released in 2014 if I recall correctly. They have been working on a new game for a while now I presume, and I can only hope that the extra time Sonic Team as asked for in the past to polish their games will pay off.

Re: Dementium Remastered Targets a February Release in Europe and Australia, Dementium II Remastered Nears Completion

Knuckles

@JedRock 95% sure that game is cancelled and not going to be seeing the light of day anytime soon. Should have remained 3DS exclusive instead of trying to go multiplat, and then they dropped the 3DS altogether during that failed kickstarter.

They tried riding the hype train of Mighty No. 9, and it failed. Wayforward tried the same, and barely succeeded in their kickstarter.

Edit: Just reread news stories about it. Even though they say it is being worked on, I still don't see it being released anytime in this console generation.

Re: Random: Take a Look at These Unused Alternate Sonic Boom Logos

Knuckles

@MitchVogel Classic Sonic refers to all games before Sonic Adventure, so the Genesis/Megadrive, Master System, Saturn and Arcade. Modern refers to all Sonic games starting on the Dreamcast to now, sans the Boom games. However, if you were to break the games up further, a Dreamcast Era would be Sonic Adventure to Shadow, and Modern being from Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 to now. Boom is a timeline in and of itself.

Re: Rumour: SEGA Teases More Information for Sonic's 25th Anniversary

Knuckles

@shinokami Oh please yes. I always wanted Knuckles to be playable in that.

Important to note that Sonic considers Big the Cat dead like Nack/Fang the Weasel, Mighty the Armadillo and Ray the Squirrel. Voice Actor for Big was told he was no longer needed and he hasn't been replaced since. Last he was seen was Colors DS and was supposed to appear in Generations but was cut.

Re: Review: Dementium Remastered (3DS eShop)

Knuckles

@NintendoLife Why were the same images used multiple times throughout the review?

@dok5555555 No, it is the whole game. However, it doesn't include the sequel, this is just a full, non episodic remastering of the original.

Re: Acclaimed 3DS Shooter Steel Empire Finally Cleared For European Landing

Knuckles

I had the pleasure of reviewing this 30 dollar game at launch, and I can definitely say that if its cheaper than the equivalent of 30 pounds or euros, say around 15 or 20, it is worth the price. However, just like NL's review comment for 9/10 games, "if you only like racing games and this is an rpg", if you don't like retro side scrolling SHMUP`s then this probably isn't for you.
