With its release around a month away, Hyrule Warriors Legends will be the second Zelda release of the year to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the franchise; even if it's not 'canon'. It's shaping up reasonably well on the New Nintendo 3DS - less so on older models - and just recently we shared our early impressions in a preview.
In addition to giving us some Hyrule Warriors on the go, it brings all of the Wii U title's DLC along with exclusive story content for new characters, such as Linkle and Tetra. In fact, it's easy to overlook how fully packed the game's playable cast is - as a result Nintendo's released a trailer that shows off the line-up.
Check it out below and let us know whether this is on your radar for a purchase in late March.

If everything pans out I plan to pick it up. Visuals aren't the best but as long as I hear the gameplay is as solid as it was on Wii U all is good.
Can't wait for this! Now if only I had a Toon Link amiibo...
Already saw the whole new stuff in English on youtube since you can tweak the game to unlock English menu, subs, videos and voices.
The game pretty much need a New 3DS to enjoy it because of the cluster of enemies.
Only the characters and Ganondorf weapons are transferable from a code you get with the game, so no new adventure map or story mode for Wii U users just some new characters in maps you already played on Wii U.
So far 3DS get all the Wii U DLC except some modes and some new story and maps for less than the whole Wii U game + season pass.
@MarinoKadame That's extremely bass-ackwards.
Getting this game. I already have it preordered. This is the game I'm most excited for this month.
If they don't bring the new characters to the Wii U version at some point in the future as DLC WITHOUT requiring ownership of the 3DS version, I'm going to be really upset.
There is truly a character for every player in this game! I have a feeling that I will mainly be using Young Link or Skull Kid since Majora's Mask is one of my favorite games in the series. Linkle and King Daphnes look like a ton of fun too though.
@MarinoKadame That is precisely why I won't be getting the Wii U version despite it having co-op which is a feature I would love to have. The price is pretty crazy in comparison to the 3DS version.
The 3DS version will be slower tho I think even with he New 3DS you will get more slowdown than on Wii U.
The other mode that is not on 3DS is the Ganon one if I remember.
I'm playing this on my Girlfriend's Japanese New 3ds XL. It is SUPERB!
I've already preordered this one. I'm excited to try it out!
This game looks so lame for anyone who has the Wii U version in my opinion. How fun can it be to go through all the grind again?
Every time I hear of Hyrule Warrior Legends the more and more I don't want it. Just give me the DLC;-;
Looks like a fun hack and slash game. Just too bad the enemies are so dumb, standing there doing nothing waiting for you to kill them. It's like a swarm of cockroaches, and I have a can of bug spray in hand to wipe them out... at least the cockroaches will run away, these enemies just stand there.
Got it on Wii U, may get it on 3DS mainly for the portability and the new characters and I didn't get the DLC for Wii U.
I will not get this as despite having more characters it is clearly the inferior version.
