Re: Surprise! Xenoblade Chronicles 3 "Final DLC" Launches On Switch Next Week

Kirbysonic

It literally dropped around 2 in the morning for Brits, and I was trying so hard to stay quiet because my brother was fast asleep 😂 haven't had the chance to watch the vid with audio yet, so I'm excited to do so today! What the heck Monolith, shadow dropping such a HUGE trailer?! This very much looks like that culmination 3 was marketed as. I have so many questions, but rather than let my head scramble I'll leave most of them to Luxin to answer 🤭

Re: Feature: Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom Gameplay Trailer - Every New Detail Revealed

Kirbysonic

@Herna that's exactly how I felt about Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and how I felt it changed too much of what made the series so iconic, but has consequently made it more popular. I was ok with Breath of the Wild, but am not particularly interested in going down that route again. With all the hubbub of bigger and bigger games which demand more from you, I'm kinda missing the old Zelda formula. Actually had a great time with Skyward Sword HD.

Re: Poll: What Did You Think Of The February 2023 Pokémon Presents, Then?

Kirbysonic

I don't know why they needed to put that info into a full-blown Pokémon Presents video in all honesty. I mean we've come to expect the usual Unite/mobile stuff followed by maybe one exciting thing or two, but even then it's hard not to be disappointed with the Presents. May as well have just shoved the small news on Twitter and shadow dropped the DLC trailer...

Re: Every Yoshi Game Ranked

Kirbysonic

Yoshi's Story was always quite special to me, mostly because of the music and artstyle which captivated me as a child. I WAS loving Yoshi's Woolly World- until my Wii U packed up :/ guess it's too late to hope the game gets a Switch port?

Re: Sakurai Says Working On DS Puzzler 'Meteos' Was A "Fascinating Challenge"

Kirbysonic

Looking forward to watching this! Meteos was one of my favourite DS games as a kid. I mostly started out gaming with puzzlers because neither myself nor my bros had faith I could play anything else (that old 'girls can't play real games' cliché back then haha) but it meant I could thrash anyone at games like this. The soundtrack was awesome and varied, the story routes were fun to mess around with, and if you felt confident, I loved to make the blocks come down super quick and launch em off in huge chunks. A satisfying game!

Re: Nintendo Infographic Showcases Every Game Featured In The February Direct 2023

Kirbysonic

Come Wave 4, I'll definitely get the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC. Really need to find out what's happening with my favourite character!
I'm still torn on Kirby as I've got the Wii version...Pikmin 4 is a must though. I still can't feel super hyped about Tears of the Kingdom... that's probably sacrilege to say at this point lol. Prime might be fun to try one day. Never properly played a Metroid game before. But man, what a Direct that was!

Re: Nintendo Direct Confirmed For Tomorrow

Kirbysonic

YES! Had a good feeling about this week 😁 I'm not even bothered about having more games to try and afford; I just love the hype and, for lack of a better word, glamour of an event to look forward to with my bro 😊

Re: Square Enix Survey Asks About Team Asano's Future Games

Kirbysonic

Chronotrigger pls! Although...I'm kind of put-off by the HD/2D style. Maybe I'm just seeing too much of it, but the novelty has definitely worn off. Chronotrigger looks fine as it is to me, so a straight remaster or even port would be good. Also I'd love them to bring Dragon Quest 9 over to Switch. What an incredible game that was. Spent so much time on it with my brother!

Re: Review: Harvestella - A Promising Genre Hybrid That Needs Some Watering

Kirbysonic

My brother got me this for Christmas and I'm pleasantly surprised by it, to be honest. It didn't click with me when I played the demo, but now I'm genuinely enjoying my time with the game, and it's become something of a daily routine to play it for an ingame day or two. It doesn't feel particularly stressful, demanding or challenging, which is just what I need right now; a relaxing game which ingrains a sense of routine and progression in me. Also the game is lovely to look at!

Re: Sonic Frontiers Reveals Free DLC Road Map For 2023

Kirbysonic

Multiple playable characters in Sonic, it's a miracle! I'm curious as to whether they'll play different or if (worst case scenario) they'll end up as glorified reskins of Sonic. But I'd like to think not; I wanna fly around as Tails again, like the Sonic DX days 🥲

Also gosh darn; this was their chance to announce a certain....garden with Chao 🙃
And they have not 🥲 I go on about it too much maybe but I can still dream 😂

Re: More N64 Games Are Coming To The Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack

Kirbysonic

They're really tempting me here dang it. Pokémon Stadium!! The memories...and Mario Party 2 is my favourite in the series. But I just can't bring myself to pay for a subscription service for games. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I want to own those games permanently so I can go back whenever I want, and pass them on in the future.

Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Update Now Available, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

Kirbysonic

I'm hoping at some point they allow you to make the menu music optional and that they add names to the map. Also kinda wish there was an actual collectopedia as well- without the Internet I wouldn't know where to get half the items 😅 would make it more rewarding to pick stuff up too. Also agree with a fellow commenter that there isn't alot to spend your money on- maybe they could add some aesthetic weapon/outfit changes or allow you to buy Nopon coins?

Re: Video: Hunting For Video Games In Europe Highlights Key Regional Differences

Kirbysonic

Really enjoyed the video guys! It's always fun to see what weird and wonderful games are tucked away in a cex store. There's a cool little store not far from where I live which had all kinds of cool games I hadn't seen in-store much- boxed Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii with the included red controller, Luminous Arc for 3DS, Klonoa on PS(I think 2?), an actually affordable copy of Pokémon Pearl....yep, there's nothing like game shopping 😊
