Re: Nintendo "Unwilling" To Confirm If 88-Year-Old Grandma Has Her Own Character In Animal Crossing

A story about poo is still a story, it's just not an important one.

Just as this one wasn't important, but it's still a story.

I think you are confusing "news" (which this isn't) with a "story" (which this is).

If you want to pretend you are operating at a higher level than the rest of the people on a Nintendo website, you might want want to pick a better argument 🤫

As others have mentioned, this article does a horrible job at explaining how to get this to work.

First, this works best on a flat island without too many cliffs. If you spawn one of those places, return to your main island, get a new ticket, and try again.

Do this around 730-8pm, at a time when there are no butterflys. Just ground insects.

Clear off the island as stated, then begin to just run laps. Go to the rocky cliffs on the coast to scare away wharf roaches, and run around the rest of the island chasing away everything else. Eventually a tarantula will appear, catch it, and then run more laps scaring away useless bugs until another appears.

I cleared two Islands, and to max out on tarantulas each time (just counting time to catch them) took about 35-40min. So count on spending around an hour total in clearing an island/catching all tarantulas.

Another thing. The poorly worded article makes it seem like there are several tarantulas crawling around the island. This is not true. I think in the nearly 2hrs I spent on two islands, maybe three times there were 2 tarantulas on screen at once. Usually one single tarantula appeared every minute or two, but that involved me constantly running loops on the map scaring away the other insects.
