The other 3D Mario Golf games had courses/ characters that just felt more "chunky" (if that makes sense...) and the design felt more inspired. They looked more cartoonish, and they had better aesthetics.

This looks like someone just made a semi-realistic looking golf game then put a few Mario characters in it. It lacks the charm of the originals imo.

I'm most excited about being able to select a trans, non-binary skateboarder and then pretending they are just just a regular skateboarder like every other character you can select in the game.

They look dull though. Look at screen shots of the "natural" looking courses from Mario Golf 64 and Toadstool Tour. They are full of color, larger trees, more going on onscreen. In this game the courses look more sparse and empty, and a little too "realistic", which has never been the aesthetic for the 3D versions of this game.

As stated by many, the courses look barren and uninteresting.

I think I'm gonna wait on this and see if there are DLC courses released in the future.

I can't even tell if that picture at the top of the article shows two guys or two girls

The 90s were definitely the "Golden Age". Between the consoles and PC, the biggest advancements in gaming (both graphically and genre-wise) were made at that point.

Since then, aside from VR, online and some Wii games, everything is just more polished versions of stuff that started back then.

I can't even go to the gym or a restaurant in Canada right now because of covid regulations, so it makes me happy to hear this POS movie can be filmed here ☺️

I was interested in the game until I heard about the slave trading aspects.

It's become a meme at this point after 40+ years of people saying "SNL isn't funny anymore", but it is legitimately awful now. A large portion of the cast from the mid-90s to early 2000s are still working in Hollywood today, while the majority of the people on the show in the last 15 years are absolute nobodies who have been forgotten.

Actually we live in a world where I can download Eternal Darkness on my PC and be playing it in less than an hour via emulation.

Yeah, waiting until 4-5 weeks before it was supposed to be in people's hands to announce a 6 month delay (at least), which they knew about months ago, is not the best way to keep customers happy/informed.

It's nice of them to announce the system is delayed by at least 6 months just a few weeks away from its expected launch....it's not like they didn't know this was happening months ago.
