Switch carry cases are pretty commonplace these days, but if you're looking for one which will give your console that truly unique look when it's in transit, then this dark walnut offering should fit the bill.
Available from Etsy shop SoriaWorks, the case uses a strong set of magnets to keep it closed, and there's even a gap which allows you to charge your Switch.
The catch? It's not cheap at $85 / £69, but can you really put a price on luxury like this?

It's so nice that you'd honestly want a protective case for the walnut case itself.
How is this "news"? (It's listed as such in the Timeline)
Ughhh the gorgeousness is killing me!!! 🤤
WALNUTS PEANUTS PINEAPPLE SMELLS
I'm puzzled by the use of floppy disk as drinks coasters.
No, but if that purple Joy-Con with the d-pad has rumble...
looks cool but I would have to carry all the accessories in a different case/bag. Also not sure how well this would handle a fall - would be nice if it had a metal clasp to keep it closed.
Looks nice. But my work bag is the lightest it has ever been. A block of wood is not something I like to put in it.
My VUP Ultra Slim case does the job.
That's way too nice for travelling, my bag is where things go to die or disappear 😂
Not buy a case I need a protective case for. Drop that and it will crack, chip, or split somewhere.
Does the down vote button have a purpose anymore? Not that I down voted anyone, I just noticed that it seems disabled.
@JohnGrey Theres other uses for floppies?
then the hole to charge it while it's protected. smack magnificent!
Looks good. I bet it smells nice too
@Kalmaro
1.) Shims
2.) Shuriken for zombie apocalypse
3.) Visible reminder of the inexorable passage of time and inescapable obsolescence of everything including yourself
That's just off the top of my head. My main confusion as a drinks coaster is that it's totally non-absorbent and it doesn't seem like condensation would pool effectively.
Nooooooooo I don't.
@RupeeClock They probably sell one of those too.
@DrDaisy you have to do the swap yourself but: https://www.amazon.com/BASSTOP-Replacement-Controller-Electronics-Joycon-Atomic/dp/B075JDRHV3/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?keywords=switch+controller+shell&qid=1583165140&sr=8-7
I’m hoping an official atomic purple lite comes out soon enough
Pretty neat, but I definitely can't justify buying one of those things when I hardly ever bring my Nintendo Switch out of the house!
How come every "arty" photo some geek takes of videogame stuff has to have a craft beer and/or a cat in the frame?
Where is the space for games?
Looks nice as something to keep it in on a table or something, but I never really do that with my original Switch, that is more of something I do with the Switch Lite. For travel I would much rather just stick with my Waterfield case.
Nice and simple, I like it.
Looks awful to me, I would not give em a penny for this ugly looking thing.
lol nope, maybe something to keep home on a shelf or something. Nothing more.
It looks really heavy. I’d imagine id end up smashing a joy con with one of these. Could I buy those floppy disc coasters instead?
@Kalmaro the thumbs down button still functions as always. They just hid the number.
@Eel Oh okay, seems kinda pointless then but whatever.
Probably more of a high end storage solution at home than a practical on the go thing.
I'll stick with my Waterfield.
I mean, I'd like something like this in 10 years, when I'm displaying my Switch on a shelf. But this is supposed to be a carrying case? It probably more than doubles the weight of the Switch and makes it far far larger in your bag. How are either of those things benefits?
You just rely on two small pairs of magnets to keep it closed and secure? Yeah, no thanks.
Wood cases (while having nice appearance) are super prone to easy breaks, dents and cracks...it will protect your switch from dust build up and that's about it. There's a good reason why wooden phone cases never took off.
It looks okay but I don't really go outside with my NX.
I got a 2DS for that.
I'm more interested in wondering what that drink is.
I don’t get all the fawning over this case. It’s ok but there’s plenty of other options that look great & have better utility.
@Kalmaro
I actually occasionally use the damn things.
i found 80 new old stock of them at a thriftstore and I got several computers that stil use floppies.
Including 2 floppy only Macs, so...
@Savino I find walnut to be quite light. It's lower-density.
Just imagine your at campfire or home fireplace and someone says throw another log in and sure toss. We are just as warm as possible. Let's get some Switch going - Wait where did it go....
