You can play the Xbox versions portable via Xbox Cloud Gaming. It works really well, especially for turn based games. So that is an option if no Switch versions are announced and you still want to play these games portable.

Unless Nintendo allows Xbox Cloud Gaming on Switch, I don’t think there’s even a tiny chance.

Sounds like I should give up hope on Sega releasing a Saturn Mini in the near future, then.
But I still think they should make a Master System Mini, because that shouldn’t need an upgraded chipset.

I’m strictly against the way they handled this release.

Hyrule Warriors DE is the clear winner for me. Fantastic roster, fun and varied movesets, stable framerate (unlike AoC), and the incredibly addictive Adventure Mode.

Mega Man X!
A new one that goes back to the basics of what made the first few games in the series so good. Skip all the annoying side characters, and skip cutscenes and the long dialogues that plagued basically every entry past X3. I would also love if they went back to the 16 bit SNES-style graphics, kind of like how Mega Man 9 went back to the 8 bit graphics.

The ”No, we already have … at home” meme comes to mind.

@HeeHo It’s not that strange, lots of people get motion sickness from playing in 30 fps.

One of the worst Mario Karts IMO.

It’s been over 15 years since I played Double Dash, but the game never really sat right with me back in the day. I didn’t like the forced double drivers thing, it should have been an optional mode instead.

I didn’t like the tracks very much either, I remember feeling like most of the track were far too wide for some reason.

Still a good game overall though, there isn’t a bad Mario Kart out there, but probably my least favourite in the entire series. And I’ve played every entry except Mario Kart Wii and the arcade games.

@RamenNumerals Yes, apart from the color scheme it’s also identical to Red Death, another of Panda Indie Studio’s previous games.

I think this might be the first generation where the grass type starter is my least favourite.

These boss DLCs are way too expensive. I would maybe pay $8 for a ”Boss Pass” or something that would give you all the DLC bosses, but $8 for ONE boss is just too much.

Mario Kart 8 is 8 years old this year, we NEED a new Mario Kart game soon.

@FX102A Not purely shmups, but almost. It has a Ikari Warriors-style action game and a wrestling game, so 20/22 games are shmups, which is great

I love the look and feel of the original Astro City Mini, but I wasn’t crazy about the games on it, unfortunately. This one looks like it has more fun games, but with almost half as many as the original. I think the original had 37 games, and this only has 22.

They should have done like with the Taito Egret II Mini, and have a flippable screen to make it more diverse.

Wow, these 20 years have gone by so fast. It feels like yesterday I was flipping through a Gamecube pamphlet I got at a toy store when the console was new. It had some information about the system, and also showed off a lot of the early game releases. I read that thing over and over, drooling at screenshots of Super Monkey Ball and the Spider-Man movie game.

While the era was very fun back then, it’s sadly one of the generations that has aged with least dignity. The only era that has aged worse is probably the 32/64-bit generation.

The character on the right computer screen looks a lot like Link in the NES Zelda games.

I’m not a fan of these cartoon style graphics, I prefer pixels.

Fusion is good, but I think both Super and Zero Mission are much better.

All I want is a new Metroidvania style Castlevania game, with 2D graphics and a catchy soundtrack.

@Poodlestargenerica I don’t get your comment. A 7/10 is clearly a positive score, and a 2/5 is clearly not. How could a 7/10 be comparable with a 2/5?

@Meteoroid Most Castlevania fans hate the artwork and design of Judgment, though. The character design is just terrible overall, and doesn’t feel one bit like Castlevania either. Far from a selling point.

@Don Yeah, I wonder the same. I think it’s pretty strange that that haven’t announced it officially yet, since the cat has been out of the bag for months.

@khululy I think you need the touch screen to kill bosses in Dawn of Sorrow, but I don’t think anyone would be sad if they just skipped that, it’s easily the worst part of that game.

Something called ”Castlevania Advance Collection” has been rated in Australia and South Korea by their equivalents to PEGI/ESRB, so it seem like we are getting the GBA trilogy at least.

I think this game will lose a lot of potential customers because of the clown. Really poor choice of main character.

If you want a success, then maybe not re-release the worst game in the series?
I have this on Wii U, hated it, and will not be buying it again.

@nhSnork No, EDF2 is the second game in the series, it was called Global Defence Force when it released on PS2 in Europe, while the first game was called Monster Attack. I don’t think the first two games were released in North America until the Vita version of the second game.

Not a big fan of any of these covers, but I voted Europe. Japan’s has too much text, and NA’s is the worst overall.

@Yosher They are comfortable and have great battery life and a better d-pad than the official Pro Controller, but they don’t have any kind of rumble and are not compatible with amiibo.

@Auenegheps I agree, this controller would never be my choice for a game where the left analogue stick is the main input. Although I might get this controller for 2D games, because 8bitdo generally make fantastic d-pads.

@RCGamer @ToadBrigade These spirits will be available to everyone in the future, so you don’t have to buy these games to complete your spirit collections.

I’ll probably get Strikers anyway since I like Musou games, but I have zero interest in Ghosts n’ Goblins Resurrection.

Bulbasaur is still my favourite after all these years.

I love the early Ys games, but the recent ones really haven’t been my cup of tea and this one looks particularly bad.

Panic Button does extremely impressive work, and I really hope this port sells well enough. I personally won’t, though, as I’ll play the Series X version when it launches.

Looks nice, but playing Mega Man X or Mega Man & Bass with an arcade stick can’t be very good. They should’ve put some more arcade games on it instead.

I hope Xbox also gets in on the action, but I guess that depends on how well XI S performs on Xbox.

@LEGEND_MARIOID The regular Dynasty Warriors 9 is bad, yes. They overhauled the combo mechanics and made the game open world, and it just didn’t work.

This is Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires, and it hasn’t had any reception from the fans, since it isn’t out yet.

3D World is my favourite overall, and Galaxy is my favourite of the collectathons.

Sunshine and 64 DS are my least favourite.

Galaxy 2 is the only one I haven’t played, so I’m really sad that it isn’t included on 3D All-Stars.

Very easy pick this week. The SNES box art is absolutely glorious, while the Super Famicom one is pretty bland.
