If you're looking for another reason to pick up Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2, Inti Creates has just announced a Blaster Master Zero 3 boss battle is coming to the game.
Jason Frudnick will blast his way into Luminous Avenger iX 2 as a DLC boss battle character on 10th March. He'll set you back $7.99 or your regional equivalent.
Luminous Avenger iX 2 made its debut on the Nintendo Switch last month. Here's what we thought of it in our Nintendo Life review:
"we’d give this one a strong recommendation to any fans of the Gunvolt series or run-and-gun games in general; there may not be much of it, but Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 absolutely nails what it sets out to do."
Will you be checking out this DLC when it launches on 10th March? Comment down below.

Sorry, but after the whole bit of selling us back the way Copen originally played as a paid DLC. I am not going to get this game.
That was incredibly scummy, Inti, and this will not change my mind.
The game was fun, I wish there was a difficulty setting between 0 difficulty and archaic.
Why is it that whenever you fight yourself or another character you can play as, that version is always more bad*ss or better?! Like, where did those cool moves come from?!
My first experience with this was fighting the doppelgänger in symphony of the night… yeah sure a lot of those moves you can use, but it looks so much cooler when you’re defending against them for some reason.
If I had these moves in Blaster Master, I’d be god-like.
These boss DLCs are way too expensive. I would maybe pay $8 for a ”Boss Pass” or something that would give you all the DLC bosses, but $8 for ONE boss is just too much.
love the game and beat hard mode but paying 7€ for just a boss fight is ridiculous. If it were an additional character - then I would be all over it. The game is great - took me approx 20 hrs to beat normal and hard mode.
Yeah, i can only parrot that these DLC are just grossly overpriced for what they offer.
8 bucks is 1/3 of the price of the entire game...for a single boss fight. And to add insult to injury, the two already available DLC fights are advertisement...
@MegaVel91 Not entirely sure what DLC you're talking about. Mind filling me in?
@Einherjar This requires some explanation: Inti Creates basically changed the way Copen plays entirely in iX 2, a far cry from how he was in GV2 and iX1. His gameplay originally revolved around staying in the air as long as possible by dashing into and locking onto enemies and destroy them with weapons to gain points, with sizeable bonuses to staying airborne.
iX 2 does away with this and gives Copen only one Bullit Dash per go, and the only way to play the original way is achieve Overdrive by getting 1000 Kudos and maintaining it.
They have another DLC boss fight that gives you the ability to have the original gameplay style active indefinitely... Behind not only said boss, but a paywall. When it should've been some in-game unlockable from the beginning.
Pretty expensive for just one boss.
@MegaVel91 I actually don't think i agree with you here.
Personally, i absolutely loved the gameplay changes made in iX 2, well, minus the saw blade, that feels a bit clunky.
Overdrive removing some movement limitations made it more important to achieve than ever before.
And while i still think that the DLC's are ridiculously overpriced, i don't see any issues with the DLC containing something people apparently missed but which was deliberately not present in the main game.
It's already the easiest game in the entire franchise. I can definitely see how the inclusion of an infinite bullit dash was an afterthought tacked onto DLC.
But oh well, we have to agree to disagree i guess ^^
But thanks for pointing this out regardless!
