Well, I haven't played this on Switch yet, but I'm loving it so far on the PS4. I didn't go into it thinking it was going to be a masterpiece, I just love the Sonic games. Other than that, Sonic Adventure was not the first 3D sonic game. Sonic 3D Blast was around way before. Also, Breath of the Wild is not the first open-world game...there's been many more, so just because someone else does an open world game, that doesn't necessarily mean that they got the ideas from Breath of The Wild. Other than that, how comes when a title made by nintendo, no matter how bad it is, always gets a high review. You guys gave Wii Play a great review and that was a horrid game with barely any play time and bad graphics.
Yup, this day in age, someone would run and sue nintendo because they fell off the balance board...remember the lawsuit from a parent that had Wii Fit? They tried to sue nintendo because their child lost weight from it!!! LOL, people will sue for anything! Alas, I'm surprised virtual reality doesn't have more lawsuits...imagine wearing a VR headset and crashing out a window or falling into the tv! Imagine having the NES come out now with the zapper gun...someone would sue because it's a gun! Other than that, I'm not sure why the developer is releasing this on the Wii U, when the fanbase is mainly on Switch now, unless it's coming out on all. It's nice to see the Wii U get a new game, but still, why bother...does anyone know if it's coming out on Switch or the other consoles? I may just have not have read that part of the article.
yes, it's annoying when looking at the collection, but it's not just budget titles...look at the Nintendo Labo cases for Switch, which are black on the sides instead of red...look at the Xbox 360 Kinect games which came in purple cases instead of green...look at New Super Mario Bros Wii on Wii which was red on the sides. Yup, it's sad when you then look at your collection, but in fairness, who really cares? I hate the original Xbox ones that were discounted and had the grey boxes...the PS3 discounted and even the PS4 discounted games with red cases, but in all honesty, I'm just glad to have the games, especially when some become hard to find, or...like some have stated...when you don't want to pay the $50-60 price. Other than that, nintendo needs to start lowering game prices a little quicker, instead of waiting 3-4 years down the consoles life cycle...Breath Of The Wild has had it's sale run, and most have it by now...lower the cost...and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze does not have to be at $60 when you can buy it on Wii U for $20. I get it, that's it to make as much money as you can with the games and consoles, but it's time to lower prices...especially when you know nintendo will soon be doing the same as the other companies, and raising their game prices to $70 in a year or so...probably by their next console.
Well, at least I'll be able to get a PS5 by 2025...might as well wait for the PS6 by then. I see this lasting longer than 2023...no one is wanting to work, many more are quitting their jobs...it's not going to change anytime soon and even with everything that's going on (huge costs in products, less products on shelves and more), nothing will come, except another War. In other words, don't get bored with the consoles you have now, because a new console doesn't seem to be coming anytime soon. Sad part is how hard it is to find even a PS4, Xbox One and Switch at the moment, even hard to find the past generation consoles.
With everything going on in the world, it's no surprise. It's still hard to find any console in my areas. PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Next, Switch and even 3DS. Even going into the vintage game stores, you can't even find any older consoles. Other than that, the games will start pouring out soon...Nintendo has a lot lined up towards the end of the year and who knows what's in store for 2022. I'm thinking investors aren't too confident in the new switch model, probably wanting nintendo to create a brand new console, which I'm sure nintendo is already onto making (if not, already). Other than that, who really cares...nintendo is doing fantastic with the switch.
My kids have the first 2 on not only the PS4 but also their Switch. They love them, and as my older daughter has problems with sight and complex button pressing, she is able to play these. As there are less and less children games for consoles anymore...some of the Mario titles are complex for new gamers as well, it's glad to see that some are still made, granted...they're not the best for adults. I hope OG can continue to make some good platform titles for kids in the future too, and I hope that with their games selling enough, that the games can be made better. I miss the old days where all TV Kid popular shows and movies were made into games...whatever happened ( read an article over a year ago about Activision bringing some back) to more of the old nickelodeon titles being re-released...we got the Spongebob one, but where are the others that they talked about (Rugrats, Jimmy Neutron and more)?
I'd hope not. I remember how it worked before when they had a console and a handheld. One year would all be for the console (game releases) and the handheld would barely get any...the next year, all the focus went to the handheld, where the console barely got any. Right now, all the focus is on just one console/handheld, and the games are pouring out for it (ones made by nintendo), and we've gotten new IP's too (Snipper Clips, Arms). Brain Age is said to be coming out on Switch (was basically a handheld game), so I'm sure a Nintendogs could come out, if not this generation, then the next. Give them time, many IP's from various companies have been left in the dust for many years (F-Zero, Ty The Tasmanian Tiger, Aero The Acrobat, Earthworm Jim...list goes on), it even took Crash Bandicoot a while to come back into the spotlight, and I'm sure Spyro will be the next one getting a new release. Streets Of Rage even made a comeback and so did Toe Jam And Earl...so, going back to Nintendogs, it could happen.
Going back to nintendo making two separate systems again...I honestly hope not.
This depends on taste. I love the Zelda, Mario and Kirby games...I'll pay the money for them, just because I know I will get my money worth...same goes for certain Sony games (ratchet and clank, little big planet, Horizon and God Of War). There's others that I'd pay the price for too (Devil May Cry, Rayman, Sonic). Again, it's what game series you like, that you won't mind paying the price for. I played the original Metroid and loved it...I played Metroid 2 on gameboy and loved it...sadly, I haven't gotten into many more. To me, I wouldn't pay for it right away, but I will down the road, and if it's still $60 at that time...then I'll pay it! If the games go more than that, I won't.
@acNewUpdates Failure to meet demand has always been nintendo...the Gamecube released...memory cards were impossible to find...then came the Wii with the console itself. Nintendo was never the best at these things, but would always continue to make useless mechanics for their systems, then give up on them way too early with only one or a few games made for it...think the NES Zapper, The Super Scope, The balance Board and more. Nintendo has very fun and intuitive ideas, they just give up on them too quickly, even when they are hits. Sony seems to do this a lot too (playstation TV, Move, Vita and even what seems like the VR at the moment). It seems that all the companies want you to get the products, they do get the money, but then it's like...make a new one, hope that same amount of people get it. Hmm...this happened to Sega, not saying that Nintendo or Sony are going anywhere anytime soon.
What I would add onto the Switch...how about some themes like the 3DS had? Come on, all we have is the black or white background...would be nice to be able to have themes on it to look at. Other things I'd have...folders, definitely, rather than having to go to the 'All Games' tab every time a game isn't played as much. As for the Mii's, if they are going to be used more, sure, have something for it like the Wii U had when you booted it up! I'd love to see them all on the screen with added animation, would be a nice touch for them...but if the Mii's are coming back, add some more goodies to it...bring back some of the classic Mii games like Wii Sports (a different name of course). As the virtual arcade, they can do something like it again. Cap com Classic Arcade has it to where you purchase bundles, and nintendo can do something like this...an NES Arcade where you can purchase the games separate and add them to that one download...same could be with the Super NES, Gamecube, Wii or N64, and they could even add the gameboy, gameboy color, gameboy advance, DS and even 3DS (minus the 3D element). Again, this is something that they can do if they wanted to, but for some reason, I don't see anything like this happening until their next console. I think they were waiting to see how the Switch was going to do (after what happened with the Wii U) and now, since it's a big hit, I think Nintendo will start listening more for their next console. Other than that, I'm sure nintendo is working on their next console by now and getting ready...hopefully it's just as good as a seller as the Switch and doesn't become a dud, but time will tell.
@Ogbert First of all, did you not even read my whole post...second of all, it's my opinion, just like everyone else on here. You have your opinions, I have mine...it's not something for someone else to try and start a fight with, so please don't respond to someone if you are to do just that.
Other than that, read it...I am one that would rather play the game on the console it was meant for, I never stated that I wouldn't re-play it or re-purchase it on a new console. Nintendo keeps releasing the same ones over and over again on the next consoles, and it got old quickly...it's the same NES, Super NES games released time and time again, to where the other companies (even some of the ones that are out of business) should start with their games too. I still have my past consoles, do I set them up...no...is there times that I will and relive my childhood days...yes. What I was stating, is that (and I'm not sure your age, but I'm 41), it really feels good when you hook up an old console and replay the games again...it hits you in the brain feeling like you're reliving your youth. As for movies that you decided to throw in, I don't do digital (you do not really own them), so yes, I do still have VHS (Don't really watch them, but I have home movies on them), and I still have DVD's, Blurays, Cassettes, CD's, Records and 8-tracks...but that's also what I collect. And no, Ghostbusters I own on Blurray now, but I used to have it on VHS back in the days, and wish I still did have it (was an awesome cover on it).
I'd rather play the games on the console that they were made for...that's my honest opinion. However, I do enjoy when they are re-released on a new console too. Sony and Nintendo both do this. I loved the Nintendo E-Shop when it had all of the virtual games from their past systems, but there were a lot of games that were missed out on this (basically by other companies, some of which are no longer around). But, as a 41 year old gamer, I also enjoy bringing out one of my old consoles, hooking it up, and delving into my youth by playing the games on the console that they were made for...it's a thing that I've enjoyed over my lifetime! As for Sony closing the PS3, Vita and PSP store...why keep having people working on them and paying them, Nintendo does this too...when the system is obsolete, or when they have a new console later on, why bother...most people will flock to the new console to get games. As for online only games, this is why I don't really purchase micro transitions for them or pay money for them...it's going to happen. Eventually Fortnite will be taken away (kind of glad, tired of hearing about that game). Angry Birds used to be extremely popular, and look at that now...all things come to an end eventually (Pogs, Finger Skateboards, CD's, Cassettes...etc). Eventually, when the popularity comes back, so will them in a different way (just like vinyl records)...until then...I'll take what I have.
How about everything from all the previous ones, put into this game? Yes to the NES games being put back in, but have them go into the Switch that was given throughout (instead of having to have everyone of them spread out throughout the house). Yes, I'd love to see the City return too (being able to access through the plane). The coffee shop would be great, the more expensive shop from the Wii title, more fish, more bugs and how about some secrets or maybe other ships showing up on the island...could also use new characters with the ships...pirates or more! I'd also love for the small mini-game island from the 3DS version to make a comeback too.
If it's anything like the deal went with RARE, it'll be crazy. It doesn't seem like Microsoft keeps many exclusive IP's, not even really having a mascot for their consoles...Blinx, Voodoo Vince, Viva Piñata and more have just gotten lost throughout their console cycles, and then we get announcements of games coming, to where they get cancelled, or if they do come out (Crackdown 3), they become horrible. I do admit though, that X-box definitely needs some exclusives, and hopefully it helps the Series X in the future with Microsoft getting back money that they lost with the XBONE (granted I own the system and like it). However, Sony and Nintendo are still dominating the console wars and with the many IP's they have, it's Microsoft who really needs to step up their game finally.
Finally my answers! I've been awaiting a new Mario Golf for consoles!!!! It's been since Gamecube era for a console release, and finally!!!! I still had questions about why it wasn't released on Wii, especially with the motion controls, but finally!!!! Something I'll gladly pay $60 for too!!!! Hopefully it lives up to it's hype. I've been in love with the Mario Golf series since playing it on N64 (and always getting frustrated and wanting to throw the controller). Loved the Gamecube version, so hopefully, this is just as good!!!!
I'd honestly love to see the originals become a remastered updated version. Would be nice to have new animations added, updated graphics and possibly more design to the levels with added worlds and levels that never made it...imagine having an 8-bit game updated to new software making it look more or less...brand new...sort of like Link's Awakening. I'd love this for my favorite one...Super Mario Bros 3
I'd actually love for them to bring back the old NES consoles to where you could play the original NES titles, like back in the Gamecube era. Would also be nice to add the City theme back again too from the Wii version. A big Animal Crossing game would give players hours and days on end to continue the game, because let's face it...after a while, it gets old and gets put away.
Technically, it's still owned by Sony and they can easily make it to where it's their exclusive again, just like Microsoft can make Minecraft exclusive again. But other than that, there isn't really a major baseball game on the other consoles, besides the RBI Baseball titles that have been coming out, so it's a good thing. The sports scene for most consoles seem to dwindle anymore. I'm sure nintendo will get their version later on down the road. MLB 20 just came out, so MLB 21 still has some time to be made and completed. Until then, nintendo, why not bring back some of your own exclusive sports titles...NBA Courtside was a pretty decent basketball game and exclusive on the Gamecube, but it ended. If not a 'realistic' sports title, how about a new Mario Sluggers title?!!!!
I'm thinking they're in development for a new console that will be released in 2022 if anything. A four year old console is going to be losing sales eventually, and with the other companies, with released new consoles, and the fact that those consoles will put the PS4 and XBONE out by next year, Nintendo will need to raise the game, and they will, because they'll want the money too. I'm pretty sure a new one is being talked about and if anything, going through production...it's just when. We already got the main titles that release on each nintendo console, so why not? They're just waiting for the sales of the console to start dwindling, sort of like they did on the Wii.
I'd love to have a nice big collection of the past Sonic games. I was a teen (yup, old) when the Genesis was released and loved playing them all. How about Wacky Worlds on Genesis...that would be a nice title to re-release too. May not have been a true Sonic game, but it was fun for it's time! Other than that, I would take Sonic Shuffle, as it was a great game on the Dreamcast. I really wish Sega would re-release some of their classics (Greendog anyone) or at least continue some of their fantastic IP's! I'd love to see a new Kid Chameleon, Greendog, Chakan, Golden Axe, Altered Beast, Outrun and so many more. Hate to say this, but I loved the Genesis over the Super NES and I really enjoyed the Dreamcast, which I felt was too far ahead of it's time.
Honestly, I'd rather have a brand new Mario Golf game on console (it's been since Gamecube too, and I always thought the Wii was going to get one due to having motion controls), but I'll also take this as a good one to play too. With Mario Sports Mix, I was also thinking that Mario would appear in other sports titles as well...would love to see an all out Mario Basketball, Mario Volleyball and more!
Considering that this title and Yoshi's Woolly World are the only games I played constantly on the Wii U, I can't wait for this title...but I'm not sure if I'm ready to pay $60 again for it. Honestly wish that nintendo would lower prices to $40 for older games, but that will never seem to happen.
Would be really nice to have the option to put all of the games into folders. Would also be nice if themes would be added onto the Switch...it's been black or white since launch, and you would think that after the 3DS had them, they'd add them over to the switch...i'd love to get a pikmin one for it!!!!
I remember playing these games...granted I skipped anything that was Mickey Mouse related (still hate Mickey), but I also remember playing the Universal Studios game on the Gamecube...yup, terrible, but still fun for some reason...as much fun as the Magic Kingdom Adventures on NES (which I also thought was pretty terrible). NES, Genesis, Super NES and Gameboy had a lot of fantastic games that I wish could somehow make a comeback. Would be nice to be able to replay them...somehow, I wish I could go back in time and never sell the consoles or games, but since that doesn't happen that way, guess it's memories to try and hold on to.
And now, certain nintendo-only fans will be pleased after they just spent years busting on everything that is Sony and Microsoft.
Hey, it's the way it is. It's good, there's no real reason why companies can't do this kind of thing. Sony was with nintendo in the past, and even when the magazines were out in stores, Nintendo and Sony were never putting each other down (where Microsoft put down every company). This just shows that Nintendo and Sony are great companies. Other than the fact that I don't play Fortnite, is there anyone that actually does and knows if any nintendo IP's are on the game?
@jump Never did I say that they needed to. Many companies have a big game that comes out in December to keep the momentum going. Nintendo has done this in the past, and they have nothing big planned for the month.
Very surprised that nintendo doesn't have a really big release game...something in the form of Mario or Zelda or even Pokemon for the holiday season, but in all honesty, they don't really need it. PS5 and the new X-box are sold out and the cheaper buy is the Switch console, PS4 and XBONE. I'm suggesting, that even though the new ones are sold out and selling like crazy, Switch will become the best console to purchase for the holiday and will reign as the number one item afterwards, but only because of the limited supplies of the other two consoles. PS4 I'm guessing will sell very well too.
Back to the topic, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 for me and possibly another, but other than that, trying to play catch up with other titles, and it's also going by what my kids want at the time being.
According to my old co-workers, the one in Universal Orlando opens in 2024...possibly later. Can't wait and glad Disney never bought them. My kids can't wait to go back to Universal, and now they'll have another reason to, especially when the Wizard Of Oz island opens up too!
It was going to happen when the new consoles come out...that's normal, just like when the Switch first came out, how it jumped. Switch is going to sell this holiday, along with the PS4 and XBONE, only because it will become impossible to find a PS5 or XBOX SERIES NEXT. Switch will be the cheaper with a boat load of games for it, with the PS4 (if they drop the price) selling as well. Both PS4 and Switch have massive amounts of games, so both will sell extremely well. Next year will mark official sales on if the Switch is declining (which I doubt it will), but also, don't forget, that nintendo usually only lets their consoles out for 5 years before releasing another, so by the end of 2021, we'll probably know about a new console for nintendo...and the race will start again. Hopefully, the Switch lasts a little longer, but with the upcoming AA games arriving on the next consoles, and the Switch being underpowered, I see nintendo stepping up and releasing a new console...and I'm sure they've already been working on something.
I miss this kind of stuff when they had it in the US...especially when it was club nintendo. It was actually fun to earn the points and redeem for some small items, granted most were dumb, some were pretty good...I still have the Mario Playing Cards. Somehow, I also remember getting a big package in the mail that had a Wii Remote Plus a statue and a $50 pizza hut gift card...I believe it was because I bought and downloaded so much stuff from the Wii Shop. Other than all of that, it was nice having the physical merchandise to redeem the points on.
One of my favorite games on the Gamecube, played it to death and loved how it messed with your mind. Would love to see it reborn again on Switch and would love a sequel, but it seems that nintendo isn't going to bring it back any time soon, considering on how much love there is for it and how many people want it to come back...but nintendo doesn't seem to listen too much to fans (or we'd have a new F-zero by now).
Anyways, I always thought that this game would also make a great horror movie too! It has the atmosphere and mood setting, and the plot is incredible to make a gothic horror. Shame silicon knights went out of business on bad terms, but it happens. I still remember that this game was to come out on launch...pushed back, and then came out with no one's knowledge...sort of thrown out onto shelves.
Hopefully, one day, we get to see a remake of the game.
@hadrian The loading is still bad with all versions (PS4, XBONE and Switch). Other than that, the game is still a fun experience, granted, besides being open-world, it's the same lego games.
It's not the super NES era anymore. When I was a teen back then (yup, old), that is what killed the super NES among school kids...the lack of mature games. Sorry to say, that I was a Gamecube fan, and they had a pretty good amount of mature games...not as much as the others, but it showed that they were trying. I think that everyone kept on thinking that nintendo was just Mario, and everything was a kiddie game. Yeah, almost all of nintendo's IP's are E-rated kids games, but there are others, and the Switch doesn't have a ton of Mature games, but it has quite a few, and who knows what else will come. I'm still surprised that the Witcher 3 is coming, especially with all the nudity, but let's remember one thing...the game BMX XXX. Sony was the only one back then that censored it a little...Nintendo and Microsoft kept everything in it.
Sad that the Gex titles didn't make the list, I also say that Glover and the Bomberman titles didn't either. I'd also have to say that Quest64 and Aidyne Chronicles were some other good ones. Star Wars Rogue Squadron too. Other than that, some of these were not that great either. It seemed that the N64 was overrun with sports and racing titles. I loved the console, I hated the controller and some of the games didn't age too well. Even playing Super Mario 64 now, I found out why I threw the controller so much...the camera was horrible and Mario would do things that you didn't want him to do. Other than that, Mario 64 was a great update!!! My favorites for the N64 was still Mario (Which Mario Golf got me to purchase the console) and Conker's Bad Fur Day (which I played through to beat) and Legend Of Zelda Ocarina Of Time (which I also beat). Sorry to say, that I was more into the Dreamcast at the time, but I swapped back and forth a lot...just couldn't take the N64's controller.
That's a hard statement. PS4 is still another hot console, and with Sony and Microsoft releasing new consoles for the holiday, they could also drop the prices on their current consoles and have great bundles available, and who knows what games they have up their sleeves and keeping hidden for the holiday for not only their past consoles, but the new consoles as well. Switch will sell, that's a no brainer, but it's also up to nintendo to keep the consoles manufactured and available to stores, something that they have trouble with many times.
As for what nintendo has for lineup games for the 2021, that really won't matter for this holiday. It will for the next holiday season, and I'm sure that nintendo should be fine with their own IP's. They still have a few IP's that haven't seen any game on Switch yet (Star Fox, a brand new Donkey Kong, F-zero, Punch Out...more). Nintendo can keep it going.
I honestly hope that nintendo stays with this formula that they are in with the Switch. The switch has had massive amount of first party games coming out for it, and it's continuing. When they had a console and a handheld, it seemed to be one year focusing on the console and another year on the handheld, with the lesser being left behind. It's nice of them to have just one focus, and the games pour out on it.
I am curious on what they're next console will be, it's going to have to become powerful to keep up no matter what they think. They can't keep having the same amount of process in their consoles with barely any upgrade. Guess we'll see in 2021 when they start to announce it, but I believe that the Switch will be around for more than 5 years, sort of like the Wii was. It's a big selling system and the games are still flying out for it, with certain titles still unannounced. Plus, there's still features on the Switch that they can make money with...why do we still not have themes to purchase on it yet, when it has the Themes setting? Would be nice to find a nice Mario, Zelda or Kirby theme on the system to have in the background!
@scully1888 I agree. I still love playing The Munchables, Klonoa and many others. It's a shame that many of the great games, ended up getting lost between all the junk games that piled out on those games release days.
Can't wait to re-play this game, but come on nintendo...stop charging $60 for remastered games...put them at the $40 range and...hey...sell more! Especially with so many coming out! Can't wait for Super Mario 3D World too. Now, if Yoshi's Woolly World comes out, I'm happy! Just please, oh please, don't let them try to re-release Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival!!!
Considering as I was reading this, I was thinking it would have a price tag of $20, being only a few bucks, I'll dig into it. Seems like a pretty good game!
Sorry, I don't think streaming is the way to go. You don't own the games, and when the servers go down, you have something that you cannot even play, spent a lot of time in and now lost. Even movies and songs you never really own, they have codes inside them, that they can stop play anytime. Not what I'd want to do. If I can get the game physically and own it, I'll do it that way, but I don't see discs going away anytime soon...if records came back, I'm sure discs will too. The new generation is into anything 80's (my generation) so I'm sure the 90's era will be coming back around here too, and vice versa. It never ends, and as long as the market is there for it (especially if a company is making money), then it won't go away. We could see more streaming services and gaming services down the road, but all in all, everything comes back around.
Loved both on the XBONE, and still play them over and over...one of the best games released on the XBONE. The setting, the music and just the fun overall experience is great, sort of like playing Flower on the Playstation. These were great additions to the Switch, and I've double dipped...I'd triple dip if they were released on Playstation too! Sad part is...what is the point of having an XBONE if they're releasing almost their entire exclusives onto other consoles?
I'm starting to see signs on this site...when a game is mentioned over and over again with 'IS IT COMING OR NOT' close by it...it usually means that nintendo life knows it's coming, refusing to tell people (possibly because of getting in trouble by nintendo themselves) and is trying to build up a hype train before finally letting the companies announce it.
I think I stated before that it'll come, even if it is later than the other companies, it would just take time. In a few days, nintendo life will have a post about how the game was announced.
This looks really fun and it got my kids' attention...however, does anyone know if there will be a pack that includes both cars and just one game? Seriously, did nintendo think that through, or did they really decide to be money hungry and charge people twice, for the same game, so two people can play? Anyways, can't wait to have them play it!
@StefanN I'd still give it time. Switch is definitely seeming to be number 2 in the console wars, and I see the sales going up during the holiday period when the new consoles come out (especially for price compared to the others). Time will tell. Just like mentioned, it took EA a while to get back with nintendo, and even that's kind of slow. Wii U really hurt their relations, but nintendo seems to be going in the right direction. Let's hope nintendo's next console packs a bang with other companies.
It'll come eventually, if it doesn't the same time as the others. Ubisoft always seems to support nintendo, and if the Assassin's Creed titles can make their way over (granted it's not the newest ones) I'm sure the Prince Of Persia game can too.

Re: Review: Sonic Frontiers - A Bold But Ultimately Failed Attempt At Something New
Well, I haven't played this on Switch yet, but I'm loving it so far on the PS4.
Re: Developer Says Nintendo Turned Down Upcoming Wii U Horror Game For Being "Too Scary"

Re: Poll: Budget Line Box Art - Is It 'Fine', Or A Sin Against All That Is Good And Pure?
yes, it's annoying when looking at the collection, but it's not just budget titles...look at the Nintendo Labo cases for Switch, which are black on the sides instead of red...look at the Xbox 360 Kinect games which came in purple cases instead of green...look at New Super Mario Bros Wii on Wii which was red on the sides.
Re: Random: No, Your Wii Isn't Going To Self-Destruct
More people that believe everything they read on the internet. Hmm...my NES didn't blow up yet...
Re: Global Chip Shortages And Supply Issues To Continue Into 2023, Says Intel Boss
Re: Nintendo's Share Value Trends Downward As Investor Analyst Gives 'Sell' Advice
Re: The Latest PAW Patrol Game Is Out On Switch Today, Here's The Launch Trailer
Re: Community: What Was Your First Ever Nintendo Game?
My very first NINTENDO game was Donkey Kong on the Atari 2600. Other than that, Super Mario Bros and the NES. Guess I'm old.
Re: Soapbox: Playdate Sold Out In 20 Minutes - Is It Time For A New Nintendo Handheld?
Re: Talking Point: Why Metroid Dread Will Be Worth $60
Re: Talking Point: Why Did Nintendo Give Up On Its 'Classic Edition' Concept So Soon?
Re: Talking Point: Wii Features We'd Love To See On Nintendo Switch
Re: Xbox Says It's "More Important Than Ever" To Preserve Gaming Icons And Classics
Re: Xbox Says It's "More Important Than Ever" To Preserve Gaming Icons And Classics
Re: Talking Point: One Year On, What's Still Missing From Animal Crossing: New Horizons?
How about everything from all the previous ones, put into this game? Yes to the NES games being put back in, but have them go into the Switch that was given throughout (instead of having to have everyone of them spread out throughout the house). Yes, I'd love to see the City return too (being able to access through the plane). The coffee shop would be great, the more expensive shop from the Wii title, more fish, more bugs and how about some secrets or maybe other ships showing up on the island...could also use new characters with the ships...pirates or more! I'd also love for the small mini-game island from the 3DS version to make a comeback too.
Re: Bethesda Will Make "Some" New Titles Exclusive To Xbox And PC
Re: Return To The Fairway, When Mario Golf: Super Rush Arrives On Switch This June
Re: Soapbox: Super Mario 3D World Is The Closest To A Super Mario Bros. 2 Sequel We'll Ever Get
I'd honestly love to see the originals become a remastered updated version.
Re: Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Super Mario Update Arrives This March
I'd actually love for them to bring back the old NES consoles to where you could play the original NES titles, like back in the Gamecube era. Would also be nice to add the City theme back again too from the Wii version. A big Animal Crossing game would give players hours and days on end to continue the game, because let's face it...after a while, it gets old and gets put away.
Re: Sony's MLB The Show Is No Longer A PlayStation Exclusive, But Where's The Switch Version?
Re: Nintendo Won't Be Announcing A New Switch Model "Any Time Soon"
I'm thinking they're in development for a new console that will be released in 2022 if anything. A four year old console is going to be losing sales eventually, and with the other companies, with released new consoles, and the fact that those consoles will put the PS4 and XBONE out by next year, Nintendo will need to raise the game, and they will, because they'll want the money too. I'm pretty sure a new one is being talked about and if anything, going through production...it's just when. We already got the main titles that release on each nintendo console, so why not? They're just waiting for the sales of the console to start dwindling, sort of like they did on the Wii.
Re: Video: 7 Legacy Sonic Games That Were Never Rereleased
Re: Anniversary: Japan Celebrates 15 Years Of Super Mario Strikers
Honestly, I'd rather have a brand new Mario Golf game on console (it's been since Gamecube too, and I always thought the Wii was going to get one due to having motion controls), but I'll also take this as a good one to play too. With Mario Sports Mix, I was also thinking that Mario would appear in other sports titles as well...would love to see an all out Mario Basketball, Mario Volleyball and more!
Re: How Much Faster Is Super Mario 3D World On Switch Compared To The Wii U Original? This Much
Considering that this title and Yoshi's Woolly World are the only games I played constantly on the Wii U, I can't wait for this title...but I'm not sure if I'm ready to pay $60 again for it. Honestly wish that nintendo would lower prices to $40 for older games, but that will never seem to happen.
Re: Feature: Switch Puts The Arcade Of Your Dreams In The Palm Of Your Hand
Would be really nice to have the option to put all of the games into folders. Would also be nice if themes would be added onto the Switch...it's been black or white since launch, and you would think that after the 3DS had them, they'd add them over to the switch...i'd love to get a pikmin one for it!!!!
Re: Best Of 2020: The Game That Starred Mickey Mouse, Ghostbusters Or Garfield, Depending On Your Region
Re: Random: Have You Spotted The Tiny Typo Nintendo Missed In The Latest Switch Update?
Mistakes happen! Plenty of novels out that have misspelled words too!
Re: Ye Gods! Kratos From God Of War Comes To The Switch, Via Fortnite
Re: Video: 11 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In December
@jump Never did I say that they needed to. Many companies have a big game that comes out in December to keep the momentum going. Nintendo has done this in the past, and they have nothing big planned for the month.
Re: Video: 11 Exciting New Games Coming To Nintendo Switch In December
Re: Super Nintendo World Will Open February 2021, New Images And Mario Kart Ride Detailed
@WoomyNNYes Universal is not Disney.
Re: Super Nintendo World Will Open February 2021, New Images And Mario Kart Ride Detailed
According to my old co-workers, the one in Universal Orlando opens in 2024...possibly later. Can't wait and glad Disney never bought them. My kids can't wait to go back to Universal, and now they'll have another reason to, especially when the Wizard Of Oz island opens up too!
Re: UK Charts: Switch Games Pushed Down The Pecking Order As Next-Gen Excitement Takes Over
It was going to happen when the new consoles come out...that's normal, just like when the Switch first came out, how it jumped.
Re: Adorable Pikmin 3 Deluxe Coasters Appear On My Nintendo Europe
I miss this kind of stuff when they had it in the US...especially when it was club nintendo. It was actually fun to earn the points and redeem for some small items, granted most were dumb, some were pretty good...I still have the Mario Playing Cards. Somehow, I also remember getting a big package in the mail that had a Wii Remote Plus a statue and a $50 pizza hut gift card...I believe it was because I bought and downloaded so much stuff from the Wii Shop. Other than all of that, it was nice having the physical merchandise to redeem the points on.
Re: Poll: Box Art Brawl: Duel #65 - Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem
Re: Warner Bros. Halloween Sale Offers Lots Of Lovely Switch Discounts (North America)
@hadrian The loading is still bad with all versions (PS4, XBONE and Switch). Other than that, the game is still a fun experience, granted, besides being open-world, it's the same lego games.
Re: Warner Bros. Was Worried Mortal Kombat 11 Wouldn't Be "Nintendo-Friendly"
Re: Feature: Best Nintendo 64 Games
Re: Switch Predicted To Be Best-Selling Console This Holiday Season In The US
That's a hard statement.
Re: Does Nintendo Have A Handheld Future Beyond The Switch? Yes, Say The Experts
Re: Hands On: Pikmin 3 Deluxe - This Wii U Classic Is Shaping Up Well On Switch
@scully1888 I agree. I still love playing The Munchables, Klonoa and many others. It's a shame that many of the great games, ended up getting lost between all the junk games that piled out on those games release days.
Re: Hands On: Pikmin 3 Deluxe - This Wii U Classic Is Shaping Up Well On Switch
Can't wait to re-play this game, but come on nintendo...stop charging $60 for remastered games...put them at the $40 range and...hey...sell more! Especially with so many coming out! Can't wait for Super Mario 3D World too. Now, if Yoshi's Woolly World comes out, I'm happy! Just please, oh please, don't let them try to re-release Animal Crossing Amiibo Festival!!!
Re: Macbat 64 Brings N64-Inspired 3D Platforming To Switch Later This Week
Considering as I was reading this, I was thinking it would have a price tag of $20, being only a few bucks, I'll dig into it. Seems like a pretty good game!
Re: Talking Point: There's Never Been A Better Time For Gaming Consumers, Nor A Worse Time For Gaming Innovation
Re: Experiencing Crashes In Ori And The Will Of The Wisps? Don't Worry, Moon Studios Is Working On A Patch
Re: The Plot Thickens On Prince Of Persia Remake As Switch Box Art Appears Online
Gotta love the internet!!!!
Re: Mario Kart Live Isn't Nintendo's First Try At Remote Control Cars
This looks really fun and it got my kids' attention...however, does anyone know if there will be a pack that includes both cars and just one game? Seriously, did nintendo think that through, or did they really decide to be money hungry and charge people twice, for the same game, so two people can play? Anyways, can't wait to have them play it!
Re: Rumour: Prince Of Persia Remake Won't Be Coming To Nintendo Switch After All
@StefanN I'd still give it time.
Re: Rumour: Prince Of Persia Remake Won't Be Coming To Nintendo Switch After All
It'll come eventually, if it doesn't the same time as the others. Ubisoft always seems to support nintendo, and if the Assassin's Creed titles can make their way over (granted it's not the newest ones) I'm sure the Prince Of Persia game can too.
