Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

@Zadaris Man, now you're bringing up Timesplitters!!! I won't go into any more, as it seems that you want the same ones to return as I do! I would though, also like to see a new Startropics and Faxanandu title, but I'd also like to see Ducktales 2 get revamped too...as well as Chip And Dale's Rescue Rangers. So many great titles from the NES and beyond that would be great to have back...even some of the Atari games deserve a fresh new take (we got Haunted House, why not Pitfall or Adventure?) You're definitely right about Ristar, as he definitely deserves a sequel, so does Greendog! Hopefully nintendo gets the virtual console library it had on the original Wii back, and they keep on adding more sega genesis and masters titles, as well as more Turbo Grafx games too. I'd love to also see Dreamcast get added, as my Dreamcast is beginning to take a plunge for the worse. I've been getting happy with the PS4 and Sony announcing PSP titles making their way over (Loco Roco, Patapon and more) so hopefully nintendo follows the same way!!!

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

@NEStalgia For me, the worst thing about the N64 was the choppy camera. Super Mario 64 was a fun title, but when he first jumped into that cannon, I almost got motion sickness from how bad the camera continued to move. Donkey Kong 64 was even worse with the camera, and the sound in DK64 is just plain horrible now. Some games on systems still stand out great, others, just cheap and horrible.

Re: Talking Point: The DLC Expansion Pass for Zelda: Breath of the Wild is Both Surprising and Inevitable

JLPick

Not for me. Even with the PS4 games, I never buy DLC...too expensive most of the time, and what I found out with the Wii U, it was pretty expensive too for what you got. My wife and Kids and I love the Buzz games on the PS3...we even purchased a few DLC for it (the national geographic ones)...wow...I could have used that money and bought more games, even if it did offer more questions and trivia play. With nintendo, and the fact that I love Zelda, I may pick it up if it's $5 or less, but anything over that (Especially as expensive as $20) is a no go. As any $60 game, you should not have to be expected to pay out more money for expansions that should have been included to begin with...and I stated ANY kind of game. Imagine the cost if you picked up all 3 of these DLC's and the game itself, and the DLC was $20 each...that's $120 for the full game??? Why???

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

@NEStalgia Agreed on the aging of some of the games. All people really need to look at is some of the RPG's from over the times. Wind Waker and the Gamecube titles still look good, but in all honesty, the graphics didn't change much for nintendo consoles over the years. The Wii however, unless they are the games made by nintendo themselves of other big 3rd Party developers, really look horrible now and I'm not sure why. PS1 looks horrible, Dreamcast looks horrible in a few, PS2 some of them and after playing the PS4 a lot, some of the PS3 titles are looking their age already. The N64 looks bad now, but Wind Waker and it's cartoony approach, looks pretty good still!

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

@Windy Dragon Quest X is confirmed for NA for PS4, so I'm sure it will come onto the Switch too...probably be a year later for us though. There's too many Dragon Quest games coming out though, and I'm afraid that it'll ruin the series with too many in just a few years...I'm still completing Dragon Quest Heroes on PS4 and I just got Dragon Quest Builders to realize that the next one to Heroes is coming out soon on PS4 and there's others coming out on both PS4 and Switch. I'm just hoping that the series doesn't get ruined or burned out like the Assassin's Creed titles seemed to get. There's just some games that should only be released one per year or so, not 2 or more per year...eventually people are going to get sick of the Call Of Duty titles...too many, and (even though I love and have them all) the Lego games will get old quickly...look at how many are actually out for each console...PS4 already has a dozen or more Lego games already!

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

@ThanosReXXX I'm with you on the 3DS...it'll be getting games still towards the end of 2017, but I see that if the Switch becomes a money maker for nintendo, nintendo themselves will focus more on the Switch, passing the 3DS to anyone else...3DS will get more indie and 3rd party titles into 2018 (and probably very few at that) and barely get anything added onto the E-Shop after that, but nintendo won't cancel it out probably until the end of 2018...giving at least a year or so to keep it's legacy alive! At least I hope so, but just like you basically said...time will tell.

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

@Zadaris It was underrated...but sadly, I remember it being launched along a slew of great classics at the time...bad launch timing for the Sega classic. Sega had many classics I'd like to see be returned, and I'm glad that there is a development studio working on a new Toe Jam And Earl title...part 3 to that was the only reason I owned an X-box back in the day, and ever since I've been waiting for them to re-release the 3rd one or make a new one. But...how about this selection for Sega to bring back or redo in HD resolution: Greendog, Ristar, Altered Beast, Streets Of Rage, Kid Chameleon, Crazy Taxi, Outrun, Hydro Thunder, Seaman (would be a great one with the touchpad on Nintendo, or even with the camera on PS4), Ecco The Dolphin (imagine what the graphics would look like nowadays) and Chakan The Forever Man...I'd even go for a new Vectorman! Hopefully we at least get Billy Hatcher on the Switch's virtual console to at least give people that missed out on the gem another go at it...and, if enough buy and download it, maybe they'll think about a sequel...it's definitely a crazy fun platform title that's fit for nintendo consoles! As for Eternal Darkness, I'd love to see an HD remaster of it (still looks and plays great on my gamecube) and I see it happening in some way or nintendo will just add it to the virtual console, but time will tell. I'm hoping that someone can pick it up and make a true sequel...the story, setting, graphics, acting and the whole 'mess with your head' was perfect and made it a cult favorite! One title I was going to pick up at launch and ended up waiting a year or so later on, where it came out and was ignored by many. Should have had more advertising for it...nintendo should have had a bigger hit with it!!! Gamecube had many great NEW Ip's that became lost, and it's a shame...the Gamecube was my favorite nintendo console and still is to this date...I had lots of fun times with the NES, but I always come back to the Cube!!!!

Re: Video: Lego Dimensions Is The Only Way To Play The Lego Batman Movie

JLPick

@RadioHedgeFund I'd go for a Courage The Cowardly Dog or Johnny Bravo. Besides the Cartoon Network ones, I'd like to see them throw in some nickelodeon/MTV...Ren And Stimpy would be fun to play...but also, how about Family Guy, American Dad or even some game companies (Sony IP exclusive to the PS4's version, Nintendo IP exclusive to the Switch's version (if there is one coming) and vice versa...including Sega maybe too). The possibilities would be endless, especially if they do exclusive sets for exclusive consoles...more money in their pockets! I'd skip the disney ones myself (I hate anything that disney touches and does from the 90's on up), but, if they do disney, I'd also love to see them do dreamworks cartoons, since most of the franchises they have on there already are Universal properties.

Back to the topic, I'm still wanting this game, but there's now too many play sets out for it...Back To The Future, Ghostbusters, Knight Rider is coming, Wizard Of Oz and Scooby Doo...would be expensive for me, but I'm still wanting the game to add to the other Lego games I own.

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

@Slim1999 Good to know...I hope it remains an exclusive though, unlike many on the Wii U which found their way to PC, MAC, PS4 and XBONE. Nintendo needs the exclusives from 3rd parties, but the one that I'm really hoping they get back, and it's been quite a while, is Super Monkey Ball...I'll even go for anyone bringing back Billy Hatcher And The Giant Egg or even Viewtiful Joe (seriously, what happened to those games).

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

As I was reading on Konami's website, Super Bomberman R is coming to Switch for the launch...other plans of it's release are to be mentioned later. It is shown with a release date for the PS4 store at the end of the year, so it's just a timed exclusive for Switch right now. I'd love to have this game, but the price is keeping me away, as I see it going down to $20 in the near future, but it should do and sell well as there is not much that looks as good (with the exception of Zelda) coming at launch for the Switch...something tells me this and Zelda will be the games I pick up, unless I know a little more about the Binding Of Isaac...the video for that one doesn't really show a lot and the description doesn't really tell me a lot either.

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

@FragRed was on Gamefaqs.com listed as a game coming to PS4 and XBONE. It may just be a timed exclusive for Switch or it could be just Gamefaqs doing their normal adding a game and showing it as cancelled later (they did it with quite a few PS3 and Wii games in the past). It is a site though that I've found quite a few that were only released over seas for the systems though...even though a few didn't play on my systems, but I'm thinking it could just be a timed exclusive for the system...just my opinion into reading something that could be wrong though.

Re: Nintendo Switch Will Have A "Lot More Announcements" on Third-Party Games Soon

JLPick

As the fact that my hype (which was only when it was still called the NX) has left after the announcement...yeah, more games need to come out for it, and I'm talking about exclusives (not just the ones made by nintendo). The only games that I saw that I would even pick up for it would be Zelda and Super Bomberman R...and the latter is also coming out on the other systems. I'd like a machine to be able to play games that aren't already out on the others, because I enjoy getting trophies on the PS4, and since Switch doesn't have a reward system, then it'll just be for the exclusives...and with Mario Odyssey MAYBE coming out by the holiday (I still see it as coming out sometime in 2018), there's nothing to get me excited for it. Maybe if a Rabbids-Mario crossover comes out this year, I'll change my mind, but I doubt it.

Re: Poll: Does Nintendo Switch Need Streaming Apps and a Web Browser, Or Is It All About Games?

JLPick

Well, granted I don't use the web browsers on any of my systems, some people would prefer to have it available...especially for when you take it on the go, and most games use digital instruction booklets anymore, making you connect to a website to see them...don't know if that would matter or not there though. Other than that, if people were in a long car ride or waiting for a plane, why not have a few apps to keep them entertained?

Re: There Won't Be a New Skylanders Game in 2017

JLPick

Good...one less thing I'll have to get my kids for Christmas this year. I don't mind picking them up, but when they ask for more figures, then it gets too expensive to me, plus, they keep on forgetting what figures and portals go for each game (leaving me putting a sticker on the bottom of the portals and separating figures for them). Still though, I think the series are starting to plummet, so maybe that's why it's taking a little break...one game per year can make a franchise die rather quickly (seems that Call Of Duty hasn't yet, but how much longer can that go on). Goes just like movies...a sequel every year kills movie franchises, it's good to keep people wanting and make them wait an extra year before making something else.

Re: Video: 3DS Visuals Go to Battle With PS4 / Pro, With Predictable Results

JLPick

@Anti-Matter Uh...your statements about Sony are actually wrong. Do some research...the Playstation 1 had a ton of kid-friendly games, some of which were even early childhood titles (Rayman Brain Games, Bear In The Big Blue House, Inspector Gadget, Garfield, ET, Winnie The Pooh's Party...etc) The Playstation 2 had a lot too (Veggietales, The Bible Game, Strawberry Shortcake, Many Dora titles, Go Diego Go and many more), and the Playstation 3 had many (Monster High, Barbie, Puss In Boots, Learning With The Poo Yoo's and Wonderbook and many more) and the Playstation 4 has many too. Nintendo isn't all that kid friendly, it's just their games are more colorful and platform adventure. The Ratings don't mean a thing, if the ratings were around since Atari, The NES would have a lot that would have been rated T and M back then (Blood in Castlevania series, Nightmare On Elm Street, Friday The 13th), and the Super NES had it's fair share when the ratings systems were coming on board, and the Gamecube has over 50 Mature rated titles and close to 100 Teen rated titles. Wii also had it's fair share, it's just for the Wii U, it didn't have the third party support, and portables usually always get E rated titles...even the PSP and VITA had more E Rated games then T or M. The fact that you are calling Sony for adults, is ludacris...they make games to appeal to a wide audience too, it's just showing that you are more for nintendo, which is fine, you have a favorite company...I love nintendo too, but I still love Sony for the same way, great games and great IP's. Both are good, so of course the back lash will come at you when you favor only ONE company and put down another. Anyways, (and I'm not really sure if you're a parent like me or not), I just end up watching what my kids play, but my kids end up preferring any of the systems I have (got rid of the Wii U, as it was collecting dust most of the time). My kids love the PS4, play the PS3 a lot and love the Wii for some of the games...I don't really let them go back to any other generations past those ones. Not putting you down or your comments either, just making a little point on my own!

Re: Video: 3DS Visuals Go to Battle With PS4 / Pro, With Predictable Results

JLPick

@Joeynator3000 Sony still owns the license of the first 2 games, but I believe part 3 is also coming to XBONE. If the audience is there for the Switch, they could bring them over to it, but the 3DS version wasn't a big seller, which would probably lead them to saying that it wouldn't be worth their time and money. Sony has more of the RPG fans (granted I don't care for RPG's, and yes, I know Kingdom Hearts is more action adventure than RPG) and nintendo is more for party and platform adventure titles (which is what I like, why I own all nintendo, but also own all of Sony for their great IP's as well). Other than that, one day, maybe the originals will cross over to the Nintendo system...at least we're finally getting Dragon Quest back, considering that they first started out on the NES as Dragon Warrior.

Re: Video: 3DS Visuals Go to Battle With PS4 / Pro, With Predictable Results

JLPick

Love the comments...the various hate towards anything Sony and the people that think nintendo can do no wrong...got news...all of the companies do wrong!!!!

Back to the topic, yeah, of course it'll look better on a console than a handheld...that's a given. Even when Sega put the Gamegear Sonic games onto the systems...hey...they looked better too!!! Amazing!!!! Anyways, the 3DS version was good and unlike the PS4 version (which I own and am playing right now), it's nice to have a version to play on the go and one to play at home!!! Still though, it's also nice to get trophies and replay the game again.

Re: The Long-Rumoured Castlevania Series is Happening, Starts on Netflix This Year

JLPick

@khululy And vice versa...then they get mad when a US game doesn't make it over there. For once, and I know it will never happen, it would be nice if every game just comes to every area...developers could expand and games could make even more money, but with translations and all the work, it would be hazardous...still though, would be nice if it happened one day!

Re: The Long-Rumoured Castlevania Series is Happening, Starts on Netflix This Year

JLPick

@Churchy It's an okay film, but just like all sequels, it couldn't stand on its two legs too well...kind of boring compared to the first and very predictable with less scares...plus, unless you were a fan of the games, even if you saw the original film, you would be confused as all get out. Not saying it was horrible, would be worth it to watch it as a free rental or when it comes on television or netflix, but other than that, not worth it to buy and purchase.

Re: The Long-Rumoured Castlevania Series is Happening, Starts on Netflix This Year

JLPick

Well, they made Belmont pretty good in the Captain N Series, so hopefully it's a good show. However, I'd love to get the originals in a nice HD package...parts 1-3 from nintendo, Super 4 from Super NES and the one that I really loved and no one else really did...Castlevania Bloodline from the genesis. Come on, Konami, make a new Castlevania game for PS4 and a new one for Switch! It seems like it's been a while and the ones on PS3 were pretty good...including the one for 3DS.

Re: Feature: Flicking Through The Debut Issue Of Switch Player

JLPick

I miss Nintendo Power and Playstation Magazine...even still have all of them (every issue of Nintendo Power I own), even having a few copies of Electronic Gaming Monthly and a few others...it's a shame, I'd rather have the actual magazine and hate reading online or on a stupid I pad. Saw that Playstation Magazine is still around, just called Playstation UK, so I'm hoping that since that came back, I'm waiting for something really nice from Nintendo...say something almost identical to Nintendo Power.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Secures Gorgeous Cover on Game Informer Magazine

JLPick

@audiobrainiac They do sell some of the artwork covers as posters, but you need to buy Gamestop items to rack up points to do so...Powerrewards.com. Other than that, most of the other rewards on there are junk, except for a few figures for collectors. The only thing worth spending the points on is Playstation Store Dollar amounts...they use to have nintendo e-shop points to add, but haven't done so since the 2nd year of the Wii U...not sure if that's nintendo not wanting to do so, or something else there.

Re: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Secures Gorgeous Cover on Game Informer Magazine

JLPick

Game Informer always puts the next Zelda title on its front covers, so this is nothing really new. It's the magazine itself that needs help...they really only go for just one console during each generation, and end up giving shoddy reviews to the other consoles. Wii had horrible reviews for almost all games, except for the ones made by nintendo only and even a few of them had bad reviews. Playstation 3 was the same way, unless it was the games made by Sony themselves, where 360 was getting the greatest reviews...now, it's Playstation 4 getting the best reviews...seems that they go for the systems that sell the most or maybe it's whatever company gives them some money to make their console look the best (hmm...) Anyways, great to see a great cover on it, I think there was a cover for Zelda last year for E3 too, I kept that one for my nintendo collection too.

Re: Tatsumi Kimishima Outlines His Nintendo Targets, Laying the Groundwork for a Successor

JLPick

Preorders are basically sold out at the moment, but if they want to sell a massive amount of consoles, they need to meet the demands instead of skimping out on them. The Wii was impossible to even find for over a year of its release, then it was even harder to find an extra remote for it. Even when the Gamecube was released, they shorted memory cards...took me several months before I could actually find one and I bought the system at launch. What they really need to do is stop shorting everything that they make, and it would show many people that they actually mean business. If they make a bunch of units, even if they don't all sell out, at least they're made and they won't have to continuously drain out their manpower by making more and more with more hours spent doing so. MEET THE CONSUMERS NEEDS!!! I see the Switch definitely selling more than the Wii U...won't take much too, and I see it selling more than the Gamecube, but as far as the Wii goes, that was a one-time hit for them...can the Switch sell as many as the Wii has over it's lifetime...yeah, but they have to continue the mass marketing scheme and continue to get people excited for it throughout the years...if not, they risk sales falling down. March 3rd will give them a bunch of sales for it's launch, Zelda will definitely draw in the money for them...up until then, I don't really see much excitement until the holidays with Mario Odyssey and whatever else they have slated for the following year. I'm just hoping for a new Animal Crossing title and would really love a true successor to Luigi's Mansion...I didn't really care for Dark Moon but loved the original Gamecube masterpiece.

Re: EA Confirms Vancouver Team Will Produce FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch

JLPick

@Spiders I know...there were many games for Wii that were good but were known as shovel ware or just plain got lost...The Munchables was another good example. That game reminded me of Pac-man meets Pitfall...sure the sound was bad, but it was a really fun game that kept me playing. Klonoa was another game that got lost in shovel ware, and basically, unless I went into the store and saw it or didn't read about it in Nintendo Power, I wouldn't have even known...same went with Rygar, which I somehow only own on PS2. Rygar was excellent...a God Of War copy cat (I wouldn't say better, but just as good) that deserved a sequel...maybe an HD remaster can still be made, but I'm not counting on it...one other game I loved (which wasn't on a nintendo console) was Dante's Inferno...another title that felt like God Of War meets Castlevania. Great game and great action and a great story...no one gave it a try and I wanted a reboot or sequel to that one as well. Samba De Amigo was another great sega title, and that got lost when Sega tried to bring it back on Wii...I believe even Nights got lost on it.

Re: EA Confirms Vancouver Team Will Produce FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch

JLPick

@ElekidDude Knew about the gamecube and the discs, but thanks...knew this after buying Crash Bandicoot Wrath Of Cortex on PS2...horrible loading time. Traded it in and got it on gamecube...almost no loading time...thing that I was saying, is that Gamegear even did a few games (forget what they were) that had 2x cartridges to be able to play it...same thing with a PSP title I had too, and even PS1, PS2 and Gamecube did it a lot. I was just saying that if a game got too big for a switch cartridge, they could easily do something like this to still have a big game...would just get annoying.

Re: EA Confirms Vancouver Team Will Produce FIFA 18 on Nintendo Switch

JLPick

@RatKing64 I have a couple of games that are out on PS3 and PS4...and I own both systems. Sure, they look a little better on PS4 (lighting effects and less loading) but they're relatively the same thing, so it's not a big thing for the Switch to get a PS3 version of a game...just shows that the Switch can't handle the same power as a PS4 game...but they could change that. When Gamecube couldn't handle a big PS2 game, it came out as a double disc copy...Switch could easily do a 2-cartridge copy, granted it would be annoying to switch back and forth (hey, I had a pun there)...the only thing that people are getting mad about (myself somewhat included) is that the Wii was getting most of the Playstation 2 era games instead of the PS3-type games...Wii U lacked almost all and with these kind of news articles, it's like the Switch will just get PS3 and 360-type games...which in turn means a lot of shovel ware, dumped games...plus, the Wii's sports games were mainly cartoony versions. If FIFA just adds the 'options' of motion joy con controls, than that's fine, but breaking the game down dramatically, means a lot less available than the other systems...which in turn (especially if people own the Switch and either the PS4 or XBONE) could lead to bad sales and more 3rd parties walking away from it. Wii had many great 3rd party titles that became lost to consumers due to the many shovel ware titles coming out at the same time...Elebits, Klonoa, Rygar (granted 2 were PS2 ports), Cursed Mountain and many others all became lost with the weird M&M titles, Ninjabread Man and all of the other crap. Other than that, this version of FIFA will do something that the others won't...play portable and on the go, so it shouldn't really matter that much, but people will complain no matter what and the non-nintendo fans will eat up these kind of news articles and call the NINTENDOOMED button again!

Re: Nintendo Switch Version Of For Honor Out Of The Question Right Now

JLPick

@BiasedSonyFan I think people need to look back and see what the Atari Jaguar cost, or even look at the prices of NES and Atari 2600 games in the days...basically, adding on to what they would cost today and looking at what they cost back then...figuring out the money like you stated...games and systems were just as expensive back then. The Atari Jaguar I saw for $800, and that was in the late 80's early 90's...the games were from $100 and up. Adding up to what that would cost if it was today, is high in price, and people need to also look at consoles...they were expensive back then and are expensive now...cheap consoles are basically gone and $300 for a handheld and console together is not a bad price...it's just a lot of money up front, but if it gets its play value, then it's worth it. Basically, this is almost everything that you stated!

Re: Nintendo Switch Version Of For Honor Out Of The Question Right Now

JLPick

If games for the switch are all going to be 'waving my arms around like an idiot again' then count me out. I just want to be able to play without wearing myself out with motion controls...one thing that I got tired of on the Wii and what others got tired of. I'm not into the virtual reality, my 3DS is never on the 3D effect (that's basically because of headaches from doing it and eye strains...even on the new 3ds models), and when I'm trying to wake myself up early in the mornings, and want to play a game, it's not in the way of swinging my arms around like a bird trying to take flight.

Anyways, it's nice to see that they're waiting to see how the game sells, but if it sells well, who would buy it on the Switch, considering that when nintendo gets it, the game will likely be 1-2 years old, have a cheaper price on the others, and will get a price tag on the Switch for probably $60? Guess we're in for another Wii and Wii U era, where nintendo gets gipped on many games again...bring on shovel ware and party games.

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Puts the NES Mini Up Against Retro Rivals

JLPick

Even though I haven't opened it up or even tried it, I think it's better than the rivals, since it's actually made by nintendo themselves. The rivals usually have cheap controllers...which break very easily, or...like the Sega retro one I have with the top loading game cart and 80 preloaded games (which only 40 were actual Genesis titles...other 40 were cheap old PC games), the top loading cart doesn't even barely work, and you have to press the reset button numerous times just to get one game to work. Glad I have the original Genesis, and since I own the original NES, that's why I never opened up the Mini yet. Other than that, the vintage retro systems are usually cheaply made and break very easily. Going online and seeing customer responses can show most of that.

Re: Feature: Nintendo Switch Countdown - Considering the Joy-Con

JLPick

Sad to say, that I've been a big nintendo fan since they created the NES and were loving the games they made for the Atari too, but recently...I haven't been caring for their systems and haven't felt excited for anything nintendo has been doing since the Wii's launch. The Wii U didn't look impressing...and it wasn't...and the 3DS didn't even get me excited, I still had a DS and that wasn't even as exciting as the original gameboy was. Even so, after watching the video on this system, I still don't feel excited, maybe it's being older than many of the people on this site, but I just don't feel excitement towards it...it's kind of over-priced and seems like it wasn't fully ready by nintendo unless they announce more later on in terms of games...and it doesn't even seem like the E-Shop will be up and running yet, which it took them several months to get it up and working for the 3DS. I guess I'll get the system closer to the holidays when Mario comes out, but I still don't see that being the only game that interests me for it.

Other than that, I'll keep on reading and waiting to see what else is coming to it, that isn't coming to the other systems too. Maybe something besides Zelda and Mario can keep me wanting it.

Re: Official Financial Results Q&A Clarifies Kimishima's "3DS Successor" Comment

JLPick

What I've been thinking, is that nintendo isn't going to say anything right now about the 3DS, until they know for a fact that the Switch will be sales-worthy. If the Switch does really good, then, yeah, I see nintendo giving up on the 3DS...they're going to be heading towards what will make them more money, and granted that it will be a while until the Switch makes as much as the 3DS, the 3DS will stick around for another year or so...just may not have the support from nintendo, but the indie developers and 3rd parties will still make games for it, we'll just see it like the final years of any nintendo product...barely any games and a big drought. Other than that, nintendo isn't going to announce the death of their handheld without proof that the Switch will be a success. Give them until the beginning of next year or even during the launch of the Switch to get a definite answer.

Re: Nintendo Outlines Pricing Range for Switch Online Service

JLPick

@YeshaYahu5417 Imagine if they still had them, with boxes and items that went with them...they could sell them for a lot of money. I used to have the old board game 'FIREBALL ISLAND'...wish I would have kept it, because that thing goes for a lot of money right now!

Re: Nintendo Outlines Pricing Range for Switch Online Service

JLPick

@YeshaYahu5417 I never owned the Power Glove either...wanted it, but never could afford it (if I remember, it was expensive, but not as expensive as anything Atari Jaguar). However, I'd love to own it now and still have it in the box...worth a lot of money, but I think it came into being popular after Freddy wore something like it in Freddy's Dead.

Soon to be added, will be the Switch...other than that, most of them are back in their original boxes, tucked away in totes with the games and accessories. The only ones currently out that my kids, wife and myself play are the Genesis, PS2, PS3, PS4 and Gamecube...the others, put away, except in my man cave where I put the Atari to play on my 80's television...yup, I've been around since the beginning and loved it, but I'm not as big into them as I was and never played as much as what the collection would look like. Other than that, hate the new systems with always having to be connected to the internet, but love the PS4, as it makes me feel like it's an old 16bit console with many games and varieties...plus, even if it doesn't have the internet connected, you can still play the downloaded games, just not the games that always have to be connected...which are the ones I stay away from anyways.

@NodesforNoids I have netflix too. Glad I don't need Plus on the PS4 to enjoy it, but it disappointed me when I used to have the 360 that I had to join LIVE in order to use it. Hopefully, nintendo does it to where you can still access it without having to be a member of their online deal, because I'm not really into paying for services from Nintendo, just like I don't join Playstations...I figure that if no one really pays for the service, the companies will go back to 'free' again, but if the money is there, they'll continue and continue to raise the prices. If sony already raised their prices, what's stopping Microsoft from raising, then sony again and then nintendo later on. We all know the prices will go up, so even with nintendo being the cheaper version of it right now, how long will that price point last...if the system sells enough, and enough people pay for that service, nintendo will definitely want more money, and we all know that it will rise in price...just giving them a few years to do so.

@YeshaYahu5417 The expense is what drives me away the most...$400 is too steep to invest in something that may not last that long. Plus, I invested in enough add on products that didn't last too long...NES Zapper, Super NES Silent Scope, Wii Zapper, Wii Balance Board, Playstation Move, Playstation Wonderbook, Dreamcast Microphone, Genesis Mouse, Super NES Mouse, Playstation 3 Rock Revolution Drum Kit, All the Rock Band crap, The Guitar Hero Crap, The DJ Hero Crap and of course all of these figures from Nintendo, Skylanders and Infinity that take up space...granted the nintendo ones are more for display than the others. My kids use them, but it's amazing on how much you pay for it, and the companies only use them for a few games and then drop it out of existence for no reason. The Nintendo Zapper's are the ones I never got...only a few for NES, a few for Super NES, but they continue to make them. Also forgot to note that I have the Zapper guns for Lethal Enforcers 1 and 2 for Genesis.
