Three new avatar outfits have been added to Pokémon GO.
The outfits are all linked to specific medals in the game - Battle Girl, Jogger and Fisherman - and can be purchased using in-game currency.
Battle Girl and Jogger are OK we suppose, but Fisherman - now that's an outfit you can be proud of.
Look at that confident wide stance. The steely determination in those eyes. The wry smile that hints at fish (and indeed Pokémon) yet to be caught.
We personally don't know why you'd want to be seen in any other gear, but here are the details for the other (lesser) outfits if you're still interested:

The fact that they couldn't even be bothered to make that watch have it's handles and the 4 time stamps is pretty sad though.
FYI, to dress up as the fisherman in full requires you to catch 300 extra large Magikarp.
Pokémon have random sizes when encountered.
You then also need 980 coins to buy the whole set.
Fishing Cap - 180 coins
Fishing Vest - 500 coins
Fishing Pants - 200 coins
Fishing Boots - 100 coins
Well yeah, it's Niantic I hope you didn't expect to get much for free.

They've given a fair few new clothing items for free before, including entire clothing sets based on Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon.

I actually noticed this myself. I didn't have anybody tell me like my usual YouTuber. I think this is pretty interesting, I've been hoping that they would add some new medals actually to give me more work to work on instead of just a bonus unlock but I'm not complaining about this.
I'm disappointed that you have to earn it and purchase it. I would rather just earn it...some of those medals are pretty rough.
Also, why is there not a youngster costume for the Rattata badge? I wanna prove I've caught only the top percentage of Rattata.

You have to unlock them first, and then BUY THEM.
As far as I'm aware, there's only one person in my town who even has the gold fisherman medal, and that's only because he lives right on the waterfront... even those of us who have caught thousands of Magikarp are still nowhere near.
