@NarwhalKing I honestly keep waiting for Sega to do Warioware and Mario Maker rip offs. It just makes so much sense. Gods I'd buy em in a heartbeat.

@Dm9982 Not gonna lie, I was waiting for Fallout 3 / NW and Oblivion since they seemed like slam dunks. Guessing that's just not gonna happen.

@Dragonite89 I always thought they could keep the Switch online stuff, but then you could buy your own "add-on dlc" for it.
So you could buy Mega Man 3 on the NES app, and if the subscription ends the other games disappear but your MM3 copy remains for example.

@chefgon well the console from a software level would have to tell it to do OLED work. An IPS screen change and whatnot is vastly different than adding an OLED screen. In part its a reason why you never see any well... OLED mods.

Wait, how does this make sense? You can't just flip a different screen in and call it a day. The Switch lite would have no concept of the OLED screen or how to use it.

@Sisilly_G as someone that just moved to Australia from South Africa it's been amazing actually having something to spend points on. I think the real money store with the more Asian inspired items is also great.

@Vexx234 Timesplitters rewind is probably our best bet now.

Timesplitters still holds up as a far more varied multiplayer shooter than Team Fortress 2 / Overwatch. It's bonkers how insanely well it's suited for the current market. Hell, if they made a F2P version with that live service stream of content it would sadly probably work.

Personally I'd just love the original games packaged, released on modern platform with number 2 having stage builder / online play features.

I played the PSVita port with gyro for a while and it worked really well, so a Switch version would be great.

@RupeeClock The only switch stuff I've needed to get fixed was the joycon drift and we got stiffed with repair fees in South Africa for it. Mostly just fixed em myself since then either with new analogs I got for cheap in bulk or the old cardboard trick stuffed in there.
It's weird cause they repaired all the 3ds/wii u stuff for free. Heck, they even replaced my launch 3ds entirely years later when one of the shoulder buttons were buggered. (A bit drastic but appreciated)

@Anti-Matter Honestly I was thinking this same thing. I'd love to see the ol Halo games pop onto Switch.
Alternatively, if you're gonna pitch gamepass on switch do it with only Microsoft owned stuff instead of all the 3rd party stuff.
Not saying I love cloud streaming but that would be a compromise.

@sketchturner i heard volume 3 is gonna be MGS touch, MGS social ops, MGS Mobile from the n gage and the 3ds port of MGS3 running at constant double vision mode at native resolution.

@bonjong23 contrary to popular belief it was never that large. You're looking more at 32gb. In fact if you've downloaded stuff like resident evil revelations 2 and whatnot on your switch your about on par for those sizes.
Better compression techniques as well would help. If you found one of "those sites" you'd spot it for about 24gb.

I got the definitive ending when I played my first time (with pure luck) and then watched the different endings on youtube. I figure I'll probably just do the same here since I can't see myself installing the game again just to watch an epilogue... Unless it's beefy. I did somewhat think about replaying it to recruit different units... GOSH DARNIT! FINE! I'll have to just play it again while I wait for Persona 5 Tactics and that rumoured FF Tactics remaster/remake thing.

@belmont Less an issue of the music than the screen resolutions. Normal battles on Master System become increasingly impossible when you can't see stuff on the game gear. I remember being so excited to have the portable sonic experience and going: Hey, why is this so darned difficult?

This honestly makes me think they DID have physical copies ready for the original launch but decided they could double down this way. That or it's just a lazy way to make extra cash on the 2nd hand market if someone buys the disc.

When there were no early review copies I knew this was gonna be a dud. There's always a small chance that an eventual Switch release might have some issue resolved from the current ones...

I still jam Tetris 99 and man did I love Mario 35. They're just games that work so well and then when I gave Pacman 99 a go... Something just didn't work there about it for me. It's easy to say I'm just bad I suppose but there was never any additional motivation for me to try and give it another go.
I wonder if this means they'll shadow drop a new unique multiplayer thing around June to "add value" to the service.

I'm pretty jazzed. Did a ton of effort to get a visa and travel arrangements and I'm finally going to Gamescom. Hoping I can eventually get opening night live tickets too.

@Dpullam Tricky thing about having a 3DS in South Africa was the lack of hits. On the odd times I got a hit I was so mesmerized.

I was pondering the new courses while playing em: They seem much more hazard aggressive than some previous stages.

I seriously hope they don't lock the auto catch different pokeballs to this thing and allow the poke ball to do the same.

For me the biggest reasons I stopped playing:
1.) If you don't turn off background data it'll crash your phone randomly. (A shame cause background data is how I'd prefer to plant)
2.) No improvements to UI. They could've seriously done a lot to help filter pikmin and sort em. Not just that, maybe an option to download assets or set portraits to 2D to improve interface speeds.
3.) Just not... That much to do. I know it's not supposed to be a game entirely but you can only look at it for so long. And if you can't do background data due to random crashes that's a bit of an issue.

@Selim As I recall it's basically impossible for a non Japanese place to get any real foothold with shares like that. Nintendo's investors are heavily Japanese focused (banks and whatnot) and few of those would ever if ever sell to foreigners.

@Williamfuchs420 I just saw they removed that little notice that you can't trade with the recent videos. Maybe a mistake or maybe hopefully you can trade pokemon

@Williamfuchs420 Yeah it won't let you transfer pokemon, only rent. A bit of a shame since there was some digging that made it look like they tested the Mario Tennis N64/Gameboy connectivity to unlock characters.
Still, you never know if they'll turn it around. That being said, I feel sceptical that they'll ever release the pokemon games on Switch Online. They know they can sell those Gameboy versions as is on Switch and make money.
(Personally I'd love to see them on there with Pokemon Home features)

@Oppyz666 I don't even think there's any games dubbed in any of the official languages of my country. (We have 11, but one is English but you get what I mean) So all games are foreign dubs for me.

In South Africa BOTW1 and 2 are the same price. Kinda shocking that 1 still holds such a high price after so long.

It's listed as 31st of March for South Africa. Noticed Africa doesn't even get referenced there

@Chocobo_Shepherd I pre-ordered the PS5 version cause I had credit on one of the big digital retailers in my country. Just got to find out that the retailer is shutting down now that I'm actually excited for the game. Cherish your pre-order! Cherish it!

I think there was a typo and they meant $15/£12.

There's honestly a lot of stuff I wish they'd improve/fix in the game.
