I went there as a spectator on Sunday and played Pokkén DX. I used Decidueye and Darkrai, the former was a fun mid-ranged attacker while I didn't understand the latter. I also got some stuff at the Pokémon Center. I had a great time!
I was actually at the party last year. It was great to be there and meet people like Takashi Iizuka and Mike Pollock, as well as listen to Crush 40 live. I did hear about the stream issues afterwards though. With that said, it's great that SEGA is able to have some fun with their mistakes and laugh them off.
@NinROCK3T It's a little surprising since all mainline Mario games until this one have been strictly E, but E10+ games usually don't have much more mature content than E games do. Plus, the Mario Strikers games were rated E10+, so there is a bit of precedent for this. It shouldn't affect the audience that drastically either way; Mario sells to everyone regardless.
The one individual who saw the movie did not see it in Japan. He saw it in Japan Expo in France on the 6th, the movie doesn't premiere in Japan until the 15th. We have also known about the new companions replacing Brock and Misty for months. Please do some research next time.
@Moon Yeah, let's just never use a door ever again because we had to kill a tree for it. Or never take a shower because we are wasting valuable water from the ocean. We are horrible creatures!
This line sticks out to me, it shows that games have been using the dasmel in distress plot for so long that one princess finally had enough of it, wanting to actually do something about the situation instead. Respect.
It's interesting how there aren't any kids featured in these Switch advertisements, it seems like they want to get the point across that it isn't just for kids. I definitely agree with that.
I remember this game being the focus of the second-to-last Nintendo Power issue, released back in November 2012. It's great to see that Half Genie Hero is almost here!
I would also be happy to see some non-Nintendo consoles on the Virtual Console, like what the Wii did. As some examples, Master System, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast, TurboGrafix-16, Neo Geo, Commodore 64, 3DO, Atari Jaguar, and more would be cool to see.
I was there at the Microsoft theater, I had fun but wasn't a fan of how they focused on music and trailers more than actual awards. There also wasn't anything special for those who went there in person, there's no merchandise for the show and no opportunities to meet anyone that went on stage. The benefit is just being there in person. I was hoping to get to meet Reggie there, but I might've expected too much. Oh well, I might stay home and watch it next year if there's no incenitive to watch it at the theater.
Since no one else asked any questions for Nintendo Life to answer, I'll be the first. Are the long Mario death sequences where a bunch of sounds play still in the 3DS version?
