Whenever there's such a large discrepancy between critic and audience scored on RT I know I'm going to enjoy it! Second best game based movie of all time, just behind the Animal Crossing movie that only came out in Japan.

Nice to see it finally come out. Hope it does well despite the pointless delay.

Hilarious to see this do so well in spite of (or maybe because of) the critics! The old Luigi actor’s meltdown was even more hilarious than the guys whining about Pokémon SV or Hogwarts Legacy!

@Serpenterror If it sells well I doubt it'll be the final one. LRG has published a lot of old FMV games that they can milk on the GBA.

Switch back to dominating hardware while PlayStation dominates software. Good to see PS4 hanging in there too!

At this rate Pokémon SV and Splatoon 3 will cross 5 million and 4 million physical, respectively, sometime in April. Will definitely have popcorn ready for all the haters still whining about Pokémon's success!

The Lechonk celebration even includes a code you can get from Gamestop, at least in the US (not sure about other regions).

Night Trap on GBA is pretty amazing! I wonder what the cartridge size is and how the quality compares to those GBA videos back in the day. At least this one should be viewable on the Gameboy Player.

I wonder why Year Walk is EU only now. I picked it up in NA back when Kit and Krysta did a playthrough on Nintendo Minute.

Switch overall back on top, but PS5 still doing well. 2DS outselling XBSS is the real story though!

Well this certainly explains why there wasn't an NSO announcement on Pokémon Day.

Obviously getting an exclusive bonus wouldn't work for most games, but the Pokémon SM demo is probably the most memorable demo I've played due to it transferring Ash-Greninja to the main game.

Looks like PS5 owners are finally starting to buy physical software in Japan. Bodes well for FF16 and FFR7-2.

Good week for hardware. PS5 finally hitting its stride, Switch still doing well, and PS4 outselling XBSX/S! It'd be nice to see YtD numbers since it's likely PS5 is the best selling console of the year so far.

Nice to see Pokémon Sleep wasn't completely forgotten. Gives me some hope that Detective Pikachu 2 is really still in development. The SV DLC looks promising as well. And I like stop motion animation so I'll check out Concierge.

Otherwise very disappointing. I understand they want to keep people updated about their FtP games but to have the majority of the presentation be about whatever the latest mobile game events are going on is very frustrating.

I always believed Sony was ahead of the curve regarding E3. The only surprise is it took this long for Nintendo to ditch E3 as well.

I'm hoping for any info on Detective Pikachu 2 (game or movie). I've sure we'll get a special Tera raid event for SV. Maybe an uncatchable challenge raid like what they did for Mewtwo in SwSh back in 2020, which I still think was tougher than any of the 7-star raids we've seen so far.

Also hoping for Gameboy shadow drops with full connectivity to Pokémon Stadium. Seeing that disclaimer when Stadium was first announced has been my biggest disappointment with Pokémon recently.

Edit: so we're getting 7-star Pikachu right before Pokémon Day. Sill not impossible there's a Tera raid event on Pokémon Day itself but much less likely now.

Congrats to PS5 for showing their recent success is not a fluke! Hopefully FF16 and FF7R-2 keep the momentum going throughout the year.

@Vexx234 Nice to see another Boktai fan! Definitely one of the strangest gimmicks in video game history but it was a very enjoyable game. I'd love to play it on Switch!

Still hoping the Boktai crossover stuff is kept in Mega Man Battle Network Collection.

@HammerGalladeBro Especially after the arson incident at Kyoto Animation. If she were a child I could understand some of the sympathy being shown to her but a 36 year old sending death threats to a specific person should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.

@BulbasaurusRex That's not true; just off the top of my head Snubbull and Marill appeared early in the anime before Gold/Silver, and Lucario was featured in the movie Lucario and the Mystery of Mew a full year before Diamond/Pearl came out. Also pretty sure Zoroark: Master of Illusions came out before Black/White.

If you're talking about the NA version of Super Mario 2, I'm sure I don't need to explain that it was a reskinned Japanese game, so its characters did not originate outside of Japan. Or are you talking about a different game?

I remember reading that Alone in the Dark used some hardware trick with how the screen is redrawn to display more colors than the GBC was normally capable of. I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Also very pleased that Kirby Tilt n Tumble is coming eventually. Definitely a missed opportunity that it never got a sequel on Wii.

Switch really is in the running to become the best selling console of all time. The PS2 only sold 110 million after 6 years:

The PS3 came out in 2006, but was so expensive that the PS2 continued to sell respectable numbers for several years thereafter. If the Switch 2 completely replaces the Switch then that's the only way I see it not catching up to the PS2.

No wonder share prices are down! The last thing shareholders want to hear is that employees are being paid fairly.

LOL at all the people who are defending frivolous lawsuits here. If Nintendo didn't extend Joycon repairs beyond the initial warranty then you would have a point, but they did, so you don't.

@SBandy1 This would only make sense if @IronMan30 had claimed in some previous post that Switch outselling PS4 was impressive.

@the_beaver FF7R-2 is currently scheduled for winter 2023. It's always possible it gets delayed but it'll have already been more than 3 years since part 1 came out. I think it would be a terrible idea to spread these FF7 remakes out even farther than they already are.

Pokémon already proved you can release a remake and an original game within months of each other. As long as the games are good, Final Fantasy will do just fine.

With FF7R-2 and FF16 coming out this year, I wouldn't be surprised if PS5 outselling Switch becomes a regular occurrence. What's more surprising (and hilarious!) is that PS4 continues to outsell XBSX!

Before Game Freak retconned real life references out of Pokémon, Mew was said to have been discovered in Guyana, South America. A Legends: Mew game set in a region based on Guyana has a lot of potential.

PS5 outselling Switch OLED is really an empty victory considering the fact that the original Switch is still selling quite well. It was much more impressive when the PS5 family outsold the Switch family:

Drill Dozer on the GBA is still my favorite non-Pokémon Game Freak game after all these years.

I wonder what the rate for Joycon drift is. My first Joycons started drifting after about a year, but my Skyward Sword edition Joycons have never had any drift issues.

I've probably repressed the most frustrating video game moments from memory, but getting Tidus's Sun Sigil in Final Fantasy X is the worst thing that comes to mind. The Chocobo race isn't even that fun to begin with so having to master it was especially painful.
