It's pretty good, but i'm not too convinced of the graphics. The style they went for does not really resemble anything people might have nostalgia for. I meab, it's particularly visible in the Last Resort inspired stage, something about these graphics is just not right so it ends up not matching the charme of the Neo Geo classic.
Mortal Kombat is basically one big rude slapstick joke, and being the butt of a joke does not fit Bayonetta at all.
@Jriibz Seanmyster6 is not talking about ESRB (or PEGI, or USK) ratings. That western developers tone down sexyness/sexualization has nothing to do with age ratings, they do it because they either believe it's bad themselves, or they feel pressured by some media and political groups. (Anyway, i don't think the devolpers would turn down an opportunity to use Bayonetta because of this, despite it being true that they DID tone done the sexyness/sexualization of the female characters in MKXI pacticilarly compared to MK V-IV).
Microsoft's long term success always came from the software business, they should simply leave the hardware business and focus on software, services, apps etc.
I MS gave up on Xbox hardware, they could put their software on both Sony's and Nintendo's systems and earn money everywhere.
I whish i had known this before i got the eShop version, now i'll have to double dip... triple dip actually, i already had the original version on PS3.
Travis Strikes Again performing well with almost perfect 60 FPS is relevant beyond just this one game: It bodes well for what we can expect from the other projects Grasshopper Manufactures teased, as well as other upcoming Unreal Engine 4 games like Dragon Quest XI.
Unreal Engine 4 support was hyped as a great acheivement around the Switch's launch, but so far there was barely any proof of the console actually being able to handle UE4 for something faster then Snake Pass.
@hoopderscotch Thanks! I guess that should already be good enough for a Grasshopper game, after all the greatness actually comes from the refusal to cater to the mainstream.
Quite depressing to see how howTravis Strikes Again No More Heroes didn't make it into these or even the german eShop download charts. Is it in the download charts elsewhere? (UK, US...?)
Actually, the gameplay is very, very good if you enhoy classic coop beat'em ups like Streets of Rage/Final Fight and while the graphics aren"t technically AAA, the style looks great and there are many really beautiful moments.
If you only like generic stuff, Suda's games aren't for you, but not every game needs to cater to the lowest common denominator.
Obviously, Christmas is a great time to play some local multiplayer with friends and my family, so i'm looking forward to playing Mario Party/Tennis/Kart, Bomberman, Worms and so on.
I'm also playing RXN -Raijin- again these days, i'll get Play-Asia's limited edition for Christmas.
@rushiosan @Fake-E-Lee To announce DLC before the actual release of a game is a common practice (because of the gap between finishing the development of the main game and the game actually being available on shelves) and does not necessarily mean that the content was cut from the main game.
It has always been pretty clear that TSA is supposed to have 7 main chapters/stages and 2 playable characters. I'm under the impression that those main chapters and characters are on the base game and what comes in the Season Pass is additional stuff.
@JayJ According to one use comment on The Verge it's possible to combine these NES controllers with Joycons in handheld mode, so yes, it looks like we can use a NES controller on the left (for the d-pad) with a Joycon on the right (for more buttons).
The new one will blow the old ones out of ths water anway. Team Ninja will make sure that the combat will be a lot better in the new one. Also, going for a cartoony art direction like the original X-Men Legends games had is a good decision for comic book based game. I was very disappointed to see that MUA1 didn't use cell shading like X-Men Legends.
The last 2 months were really great for shmup fans with Black Bird, Strikers 1945 Plus, Super Hydorah, Rival Megagun, Astebreed, Twinkle Star Sprites and this one. I strongly recommend Black Bird.
The Nintendo-related announcements were better then expected. The rumor was a Wii remaster, what we got instead was a multiplatform remake of a game that was previously Sony exclusive (CTR), some new indies including a Switch exclusive, participation in a AAA multiplatform release (MK) and a really great new exclusive that's a sequel to a previously multiplatform franchise (Marvel).
@ClassSonicSatAm Well, Nicalis publishes this game featuring Astro Boy and they published the Switch version of Treasure's Ikaruga. Treasure developed Astro Boy Omega Factor... Maybe this will lead to something?
@ricklongo @OorWullie Sorry, but this is not a new Metal Slug, it's Metal Slug 6 (except if they used MS 6's logo and artwork as a placeholder). The character art is from the backside of the box of MS6, and i've seen other pictures of this chart where it's actually possible to properly see the 6.
Remember: Sayin "Yes please do it!" in some random forum or comments section does NOT reach the developers, BUT when you follow the link to the original Treasure tweet and "like" it, retweet it and comment on it it directly shows them your demand.

Re: Shoot 'Em Up Bundle Vasara Collection Gets New Mode And Screenshots Ahead Of Release
Nice to see that they put some serious effort into this.
To anyone who looks for another shmup with a good amount of modes and features, i recommend Psyvariar Delta.
Re: AngerForce: Reloaded Brings TATE Mode Shmup Action To Switch Next Month
Quite fitting that this one is making it's way to the Switch considering it's clearly inspired by Psikyo's shmups, particularly Gunbird.
Re: Shoot 'Em Up Raiden V: Director's Cut Rated For Switch In Taiwan
I hope this means the Switch will also get Caladrius Blaze.

Re: Reminder: The First DLC Pack For Travis Strikes Again Arrives Next Week
Can't wait, i really like Shinobu's design in TSA, she looks more like a actual black woman and less like a generic anime design with dark skin.
Re: Random: Hideki Kamiya Would Like To See Bayonetta In Mortal Kombat 11
I think Travis Touchdown would fit much better.
Mortal Kombat is basically one big rude slapstick joke, and being the butt of a joke does not fit Bayonetta at all.

I bought Gigantic Army and Devil Engine.
Re: Japanese Poll Discovers That Vast Majority Of Viewers Were Pleased With The Nintendo Direct
Astral Chain was an amazing surprise, and most of the rest was pretty solid, so yea, i'm happy.
Re: Gallery: These New Dragon's Dogma Switch Screens Look Pretty Tasty
The characters faces look so ugly, i hate that Capcom went with a westernized look for this otherwise excellent game.
Re: Daemon X Machina Demo Is Now Live On Switch eShop
Fells like Armored Core is back, which is a good thing.
Re: Rumour: That Star Fox Racing Game Rumour Is Doing Another Lap
I hope it's true because it sounds like it could be fun.
However, i wouldn't bet on a rumor from GameFaqs of all places.

I'm glad to see more TSA related stuff on NL, but i have to agree that a guide for finding the coins might be more useful.

Re: Nindie Round Up: Clock Simulator, Neko Navy, Momodora, Stellar Interface And Hive Jump
Neko Navy is good fun, i recommend it too.
Re: Travis Strikes Again Version 1.0.1 Update Brings New Game+ Mode And Bonus T-Shirts
Excellent game, now i actually hope that Suda will go into this 90's beat'em up direction again.

Will Fairy Fencer F also get a physical release.
Re: Review: Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes - A Stylish Return For The Otaku Hitman

NMH 1&2 and Killer7 for Switch would be nice.

@Blofse
What kind of crazy prices are they charging in the UK? Here in Germany Hori's Hayabusa Pro V arcade stick costs 99€ at GameStop.
Re: Rumour: SNK's Samurai Shodown Might Be Released On Switch In 2019
Nice, day one if it's true!
Re: Review: Rival Megagun - A Unique Competitive Shmup That Is Perfectly At Home On Switch

R-Type Dimensions EX and Rival Megagun for me!
Re: Prepare For More Shmup Action When Hucast Releases Ghost Blade HD On Switch In 2019
@Gen0neD
There are also some good widescreen choices on the Switch:
Good 16:9 vertically scrolling: RXN Raijin, Zero Gunner 2-
OK 16:9 vertically scrolling: Sky Force Anniversary & Reloaded
Good 16:9 horizontally scrolling: Black Bird, Touhou Azure Reflections, Super Hydorah
OK 16:9 horizontally scrolling: Samurai Aces Episode III Sengoku Cannon
Good 4:3 horizontally scrolling with 16:9 stretching option: Tengai, Sol Divide, Thunder Force IV
Re: Prepare For More Shmup Action When Hucast Releases Ghost Blade HD On Switch In 2019
@RadioHedgeFund
Have a look at Gunbird 1&2, Samurai Aces, Tengai and Sengoku Cannon, there should be some characters for you.
Also, if you're lucky the Swich will sooner or later get some Cho Anki games.
Re: Nintendo Download: 22nd November (North America)
R-Type Dimensions and Super Hydorah, of course.
I'm also considering Horizon Chase.
