Re: Grasshopper Manufacture Joins Chinese Video Game Giant NetEase

@Abes3
He just talked about a possible Killer Is Dead revival in an interview a few days ago. I hope he makes it happen. I'm actually under the impression He might have used the first chinese money he got to buy the IP.

Lollipop Chainsaw is still Impossible because it's owned by Warner Bros, but honestly in my opinion it's Grasshopper's worst game, so i don't want it to return anyway.

Re: Suda51 Says It Would Be "Really Cool" To Reboot Or Remake Nintendo's Older IP

Now that i have read the full interview, i have to say that while the idea of Suda working on a old Nintendo IP is interesting, i think the most important part of this interview is that Suda says Grasshopper owns Killer Is Dead and that he'd be interested in doing a remaster/remake.

This would mean that there is a chance that the best of Grasshopper's PS360 games Nintendo platforms missed out on has a chance of coming to the Switch.

If Nintendo Life has a chance to interview Suda anytime soon, they should definitely ask him about Killer Is Dead.

Guardian Force is pretty awesome. The port is not all that strong as far as features are concered, particularly in comparison to Mushihimesama, Espgaluda 2, Darius Cozmic Collection/Revelation and Space Invaders Invincible Collection, but the game is great.

Re: Retro Shooter ExZeus Has Been Polished Up For A September Switch Re-Release

@TreonsRealm
The main reason for the negative reaction was that it had forced motion controls (no option to turn motion controls off) in a game that was originally never meant to have motion controls.

Another reason was that it was a standalone rerelease of a game that was originally developed for Dreamcast/PS2 hardware, so it looked very outdated. With this new release, ExZeus being an old game with outdated graphics is more acceptable because it's a double pack at a budget price.

Finally, the western rebranding with the Counter Force name and very cheap boxart made it look kind of trashy, now that it has it's original name back it's more recognizeable as an japanese arcade classic.

@OorWullie
It doesn't have english language support, and while it's possible to figure things out (and also to find information online), the game definitely is a bit more difficult to play without knowing japanese then most others.
I'm glad i picked it up at it's original JP release date, but now it really (no, REALLY) looks like Dispatch's western release might actually happen soon, so maybe you should wait a little bit longer.

It's really sad how they screw up Radirgy Swag's western release.
I have bought it from the JP eShop and it's a excellent shmup with game design that is innovative while still showing that the developers are experienced shmup experts.

It's also surprisingly full-featured with online leaderboards ans tons of unlockables (gallery, stage select, alternativ game modes, "acheivements"...).
