I'm so glad that they're giving us the ability to switch between soundtracks, and I wish more remakes would give us this option! I love the original soundtrack, but I have faith that the newly rearranged soundtrack will be just as good. Yoko Shimomura is likely giving it her all this time around, since this is one of the games that put her on the map.
Kensuke Tanabe could learn a thing or two from these guys.
Then again, if they weren't trying to please Miyamoto, then why did they decide to reboot the entire Pikmin storyline? That seems like a decision only Miyamoto himself would come up with, one that affects the entire game for the worse.
However, even if this wasn't an order from Miyamoto and the developers decided this of their own voilition, then why is the narrative so vague and inconsistent? My guess is that there must have been some internal conflict between the developers. The team might have been split into two camps: one that wanted Pikmin 4 to be a sequel, and one that wanted it to be a reboot. So they came to a compromise by writing a confusing hodge podge of a narrative that not only contradicts the events of the previous games, but also contradicts itself multiple times. This would also explain the dollar store knock-offs of the Pikmin 3 explorers that we see in the game. I don't think we'll ever truly know all the behind the scenes details of this game's development, but I have a strong suspicion that it was a complete and utter mess from the start.
Sorry, I will just never get over the fact that I wasted 10 years of my life waiting for a continuity reboot, and not even a good one at that.
While I might still have some specific wants such as a new Donkey kong Country, a new F-Zero and remasters of Kid Icarus: Uprising and Chibi-Robo, now that classic Paper Mario is returning, I feel like nothing else matters now. In other words, I am content.
Turns out this entire article was pointless in hindsight since Pikmin 4 is an even more pointless continuity reboot. I cannot express how much I hate this decision.
After sinking about 30 hours into Pikmin 4 before quitting, I was honestly unsure if I would even pick up this release, but now, I think I'll get it solely to make up for the crushing betrayal I felt from the fourth game.
I don't think my view of a game has ever done a 180 as hard as my opinion on Pikmin 4. The moment I found out that the game is a continuity reboot, I immediately lost all interest in it. My investment in the game, and by extension the future of this series that I once held dear, died there and then.
I cannot believe they threw out over 20 years of (admittedly simple but still interesting) story for no good reason whatsoever. I also can't believe I wasted 10 years of my life waiting for this. It makes even less sense for them to go in this direction given that they already released Pikmin 1-3 on the Switch prior to 4's release in order to familiarise people with the series. I don't know who was responsible for this decision, but it's by far the most disappointment I've ever felt over a game, even moreso than the Wii U version of Pikmin 3.
And it's not just the story. On the gameplay side, the automatic lock-on quickly became beyond frustrating since it fluctuates between making the game braindead easy or needlessly difficult. The worst part is that there is no way to disable it either. I don't know why they didn't just re-use the lock-on system from 3 Deluxe, it worked perfectly fine there. Oatchi also trivialises everything about the gameplay and manages to overshadow the Pikmin in their own bloody game!
Oh yeah, and none of the characters would learn to shut up. If the fact that this game is a reboot didn't make me quit, I'm sure the auto lock-on and constant interruptions from one-note characters telling me what I already know would have made me do so eventually.
And on top of all of that, the music is the worst it's ever been. Seriously, this game's soundtrack is basically nonexistant, just like the newer Zelda titles. When even Hey! Pikmin has a better soundtrack, something has gone horribly wrong.
Sorry for the long, overdramatic rant, but I just had to voice my grievances with this game one last time. I'll pick up Pikmin 1+2 for Christmas, but I regret to say that my time with Pikmin is over. Oh well, I suppose I'll always find enjoyment in the first 3 games. They can't take those away from us.
Yeah, it's unfortunate to see, but at least in this case, the game has received some beautiful visual upgrades so the lower framerate is more understandable, unlike the Metal Gear Solid games on Switch.
The Thousand-Year Door remake redeemed what would have otherwise been a pretty middling Direct for me. After putting up with the pathetic excuses for Paper Mario games Nintendo have been releasing since 2012, they finally listened to the fans and gave us exactly what we've been clamouring for all this time!
I've never cried tears of joy at a game reveal before this. The original Paper Mario trilogy means so much to me, and to finally see one of the absolute best Mario RPGs make its grand return after almost 20 years has me beyond elated. And it looks and sounds absolutely gorgeous! Between this and the remake of Super Mario RPG, we are in a Mario renaissance, and I'm here for it!
Now it's only a matter of time before Super Paper Mario gets this treatment. If that happens, I will cry even harder than I did at that game's ending.
This is probably still the best Mario vs. Donkey Kong game out of all of them, so the announcement of a remake was an unexpected but pleasant surprise for me!
I'm at a loss for words right now. I'm still trying to process this information.
The Mario Brothers have been with me since my early childhood, and their happy-go-lucky attitudes and wacky adventures have gotten me through so many tough times. Luigi especially is one of my favourite protagonists in all of gaming, and one that I've always looked up to, even more so than Mario. My attachment to these characters goes beyond words like "personal", "emotional" or "sentimental". They have been with me since some of my earliest memories.
Charles Martinet IS Mario and Luigi. He IS Wario and Waluigi. To see him say goodbye to these roles is like saying goodbye to your godparents who have been with you since birth. I always knew this day would come, but I can't accept the fact that it's actually here.
I may be agnostic, but if there is a God, may he bless Charles Martinet's soul. And Charles, though you will in all likelihood never read this, I want to sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart for the countless memories and endless joy your performances have brought to myself and millions of others around the world. You are an icon, a living legend, and you will go down in history as THE voice of the most iconic duo (and their evil counterparts) to ever grace this planet.
Godspeed, Charles. May your jumps take you to ever greater heights.
So wait... you're telling me that Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater don't even reach 60 fps on Switch, despite the fact that they both achieved it relatively easily on PS3 and Xbox 360, hardware that's nearly two decades old, with the Switch being more powerful than both?
Shocking. Absolutely shocking. I know I probably shouldn't be so suprised at this (this is Konami, after all), but these are games from the PS2 era, for crying out loud! Combining this with the fact that not all of the content will be on the cartridge, I'm so saddened that this is the how one of my favourite franchises makes its return, not with a bang, but a whimper. If I do decide to pick this collection up, it certainly won't be on Switch, that much is for sure.
Ah well, at least there's the upcoming remake of Snake Eater to look forward to, I suppose. Knowing Konami though, I'm sure they'll find some way to mess that up too.
I don't even care that much about Red Dead Redemption, I just wanted to comment here to show my appreciation for the Toy Story 2 reference in the tagline. It's my all-time favourite film and any reference to it makes me smile.
Edit: This was before I learned that this game is a reboot. It's now my most disliked game in the series and I give it a 2/10.
I've only just watched the credits and started the post-game, but so far, I'd easily give this game a 9/10 (I'd give a 9.5, but Nintendo Life doesn't do decimals). This game is now up there on my list of all-time favourites, and while I've still got a lot of the game left to play, I'd say it easily has a chance of dethroning Pikmin 2 as my favourite title in the entire series. It's certainly my favourite Switch game, that's for sure.
I don't mind the 3 Pikmin type limit too much, since there's only so much you could do with 11-13 of each type on the field at once. I was also sceptical about Oatchi going into the game, but he's grown on me now.
However, I agree with others that there can be far too much text and tutorialisation at times. I also find the automatic lock-on feature to sometimes be a hindrance, since if there is a cluster of enemy corpses and items and you want to carry something specific, you'll most likely throw your Pikmin at the wrong object. I also wish you could go back to previous days, or at least go back to the hub if you accidentally start a mission in the wrong area.
Lastly, I find the music to be lacking in certain areas, namely Sun-Speckled Terrace and the Piklopedia/Treasure Catalog. It's almost like they knew the Pikmin 2 Piklopedia music couldn't be topped so they didn't even bother trying.
Everything else, though? Pretty much perfect. This is everything I've ever wanted from a Pikmin sequel all this time. I could gush on and on about what I love about this game so far, but this comment is getting long enough.
I almost never give games a 10/10, since they would have to be practically perfect in my eyes to score that high, so 9/10 is usually as high as my personal ratings go. For this game to score that highly though, that's all I could ask for.
@TheBigK Let's wait until official sales numbers for Pikmin 4 are revealed before we make those assumptions.
@theModestMouse And yet I'd still rather pay full price for actual ownership of the games, especially when those games are some of my favourites of all time. (No, I'm not subscribed to NSO.)
I've been waiting 10 long years for this game, of course I'm getting it! And yes, I did pre-order it. That's something I rarely ever do (I can count on one hand the number of games I've pre-ordered in the past), but this game is special. That said, I want to go in as blind as possible, so I'm going dark from here on out.
It's sad to see Donkey Kong Country on a list of dormant Nintendo franchises. You know this series has been horribly mismanaged when the last game was 9 years ago, and this is the second roughly decade long hiatus the series has been on.
Anyway, I voted for Chibi-Robo. I never got to play the original GameCube game, and as a big Pikmin fan, I get very similar vibes from it. I would love to see a remaster of that game one of these days, even though it'll probably never happen what with the developer, Skip Ltd., going under.
I'd also like to see Kid Icarus come out of hibernation again, but Chibi-Robo is more in need of a revival, if you ask me. Uprising is still somewhat easy to get your hands on nowadays. The same can't be said for the original Chibi-Robo.
Mother/EarthBound is already finished. However, I would most definitely be open to a remake of EarthBound Beginnings or EarthBound.
Lastly, I'm not sure if this one counts, but I wanna see Mischief Makers come back. That is a game I'd like to try out sometime.
I still feel a little miffed about the fact that I purchased these shorts on Wii U, only for them to be uploaded to YouTube six years later where they can be watched for free. Oh well, I'm not too bothered about it, since I'll jump at any opportunity to support the Pikmin series!
Oh yeah, and I loved watching these shorts back in the day. It was nice seeing Olimar and the Pikmin in action and the kind of situations they got themselves into. I especially liked the personalites of the White and Purple Pikmin, my two favourite Pikmin types. The shorts also have a surprisingly dark sense of humour too, which is almost a little off-putting at times.
On another note, look at the number of views they have! And the Japanese uploads have even more views! If only those view counts translated into sales figures for the actual games themselves...
@PipeGuy64Bit At least be glad those loose ends got tied up instead of us having to wait even longer for answers, or worse, those loose ends being completely forgotten about.
And if you're worried about the idea that Pikmin 4 is a reboot, both the English and Japanese websites acknowledge the events of the previous games, more or less confirming that this game is a continuation of the story rather than a reboot. Also, while I don't know any specifics, there are plot details that have been uncovered through datamines that also support this being a continuation.
Man, all of this reminiscing has made me realise that the last good, quality Mario RPG came out 10 years ago now. While I'll always miss AlphaDream and what they brought to the Mario franchise, I'm so glad that, after being left in the dark for an entire decade, we're finally getting a proper Mario RPG on Switch with the remake of Super Mario RPG. Here's hoping this ushers in a new age of Mario RPGs going forward!
Ah, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team (...Bros.). My favourite game from The Year of Luigi, and in my opinion, the last good Mario RPG we've had for a long time now. While it's not my favourite Mario & Luigi game (that honour would have to go to either Superstar Saga or Bowser's Inside Story), I still enjoyed this one quite a lot.
As someone who has always preferred Luigi over Mario, this game's premise was awesome for me! I loved delving into Luigi's psyche and seeing just how much love he has for his brother, even though he is constantly overshadowed, ignored and reduced to being the butt of many jokes over the course of the series. But none of that stops him from aspiring to be a hero and stepping up to tackle danger when it matters most. This game really put the Luigi in Mario & Luigi!
My only major problems with the game are the overabundance of tutorials which disrupt the pacing, and the length of the game itself. By the time I had finished this game (finished, not completed), I had clocked in about 60 hours. By comparison, I had more or less completed Bowser's Inside Story in only 40 hours! For as much as I enjoy this game, it does really start to drag by the end.
I also feel like Antasma was wasted potential as a villain, but I suppose the moment where Bowser betrays him at the end did allow for the latter to get some more development, at least. He's no Fawful, I'll say that much.
All that being said though, this game had a wacky plot with many other fun characters and funny moments, a standout soundtrack (Yoko Shimomura don't miss!), and I even liked the newer graphical style. And of course, the gameplay was just as enjoyable as ever, even if some of the Bros. Attacks take a bit too long to execute. Happy 10th anniversary, Dream Team!
Oh wow... As somebody who actually grew up with Sonic Chronicles (and yes, it pains me to admit that nowadays), for a long time I was disappointed by the fact that this game never got a sequel, and for many years, I held out hope for a resolution to the game's story. I even came up with my own predictions as to where the plot would have gone.
Now, after 15 years, my one burning question regarding this often forgotten Sonic game has finally been answered. What makes it even more satisfying is that it lines up almost exactly with my prediction of what the plot would have been, right down to the final showdown with Argus.
This news is like a colossal weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Having been an ex-Sonic fan for a few years by this point, I now have the closure I've always wanted, and I can finally move on. Thank you Did You Know Gaming and Mr. Holmes for this interview.
While I've only ever been a fan of the original Mega Man series (I still need to get around to playing 11), I can wait as long as I have to for a new game. I'm just glad that the series hasn't been forgotten about yet again. I'd more than welcome a Mega Man 12, but I'd be happy for the fans of other dormant Mega Man series like X or Legends to get a new game as well, especially the Legends fans. You all have my sympathy...
@stevep I have no idea why you would want something like the original Kid Icarus when Uprising is better in literally every single way. The NES game is beyond outdated, and I don't think anyone remembers or cares for the Game Boy game.
Stop teasing us, Sakurai! If you're going to make us wait another 25 years for a sequel, you might as well bring this game back in the meantime!
Uprising deserves to be released from the shackles of the 3DS. The better graphics and control schemes offered by the Switch would be a huge benefit and allow it to reach its full potential, all while exposing the game to a larger audience that can fully appreciate it! Miitopia and Luigi's Mansion 2 prove that Nintendo can make 3DS games work with the Switch hardware, and if any game from that system deserves a modern port/remaster, it's this one!
@Clyde_Radcliffe Now now, let's not bring Pikmin into this. It's only had 4 games (plus 1 spinoff that nobody really cared about) in the span of 22 years. There was a 9 year gap between Pikmin 2 and 3, and a 10 year gap between Pikmin 3 and 4. The way I see it, that's hardly "churning out Pikmin games". If anything, F-Zero had more games in the span of 14 years than Pikmin has had in its lifetime (6 F-Zero games vs Pikmin's 5). A better comparison would be Xenoblade or Fire Emblem (because we've had more than enough of both of those series on Switch).
Also, in case you weren't aware, Pikmin fans practically went insane during the wait for Pikmin 4. The feelings of hopelessness and fear of the series being abandoned were very strong, and we were left feeling like that for years. As an F-Zero fan, you should be more than familiar with that feeling. The reveal of Pikmin 4 last year was a blessing for the entire fandom. Maybe think twice before antagonising them.
Edit: Given my thoughts on Pikmin 4 after having played the game, this whole comment didn't really age that well in hindsight.
Sorry for the following rant, but I just have to get this off my chest.
To all of you complaining about co-op and pointer controls being more limited this time around, I'd rather have a more intricately designed and robust single-player campaign than a barebones one designed around co-op. It's fine to be slightly disappointed, but these comments saying they're probably going to skip the game because of these minor things just come across as ungrateful. Go back to Pikmin 3 Deluxe if you like co-op so badly.
Pikmin as a series is about more than just co-op and motion controls. Between the return of treasures, caves, the Piklopedia, the introduction of nighttime expeditions, and many familiar enemies and bosses making their grand return after roughly 20 years, this game has practically everything a longtime Pikmin fan like myself could have ever asked for. You can complain about how disappointing this game looks all you want. I'll be enjoying the game I've been waiting for since childhood on Day 1.
And besides, this game is nowhere near as big a step back from the previous game as Pikmin 3 was on Wii U. That game was not worth the 9 year wait. This game, however, is looking to be more than worth the wait. Now you know how us Pikmin 2 fans felt after waiting 9 years for a game with no Piklopedia, no caves, and a story you could beat in less than 10 hours.
@TheBigK Then why are you here, commenting on this article? It sounds like Pikmin isn't for you. Perhaps you should go and play some other game you can enjoy, and let us Pikmin fans get hyped for this game.
Pikmin 2 is far and away my favourite game in the series, so all of these comments favourably comparing Pikmin 4 to it are very reassuring! I've already gone ahead and pre-ordered it, which is something I rarely ever do. I've been waiting 10 years for this game, and July 21st cannot come soon enough!
Also, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who initially didn't like Pikmin 3 when it first came out. It felt like such a step backwards from Pikmin 2 with how lacking it was in content, and even from Pikmin 1 in how intrusively linear and poorly paced the main campaign was. Not to mention how flat and unlikeable 2/3 of the main cast were, or how the game's story raised more questions than it answered (seriously, the original game's ending was absolutely insulting to me). Granted, Pikmin 3 Deluxe fixed a lot of my issues with the game, so I hold a much better view of it now than I did back then, but Pikmin 4 is looking like everything the third game should have been and more!
Lastly, to any of you people who are upset that this game is looking closer to the style of the second game, us Pikmin 2 fans have been waiting 19 years for a proper follow-up to that game. Please, just let us have this. If you end up not liking Pikmin 4 for whatever reason, you already have Pikmin 1 and 3 on the Switch, so I suggest you just go and replay those games if you're unhappy with how this turns out.
@StarPoint Pikmin 2's story is actually at least 20 hours long, which is more than double the length of the first game. And that's not even getting into the Challenge Mode stages, which can get pretty, well, challenging, especially if you're going for 0 pikmin deaths in all of them to unlock the secret bonus cutscene.
@dkxcalibur Trust me, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. The Pikmin series is one of Nintendo's most underrated gems, and a shining example of how brilliantly creative and unique they can be. Pikmin 2 especially is one of my favourite games of all time, and has been ever since I first played it over a decade ago. The amount of content, worldbuilding and little details in that game alone is absolutely insane! I sincerely hope you come to love these games as much as I do.
ATTENTION EVERYONE! This review forgot to mention that the crushing glitch, AKA the worst thing about the original version, was finally fixed in this port, ergo making it the best version of the game.
This actually looks really cool! I fell out with the Sonic series years ago now, but Christian Whitehead and Evening Star are a very talented group of developers. This is definitely on my radar.
You're welcome. It's been a long time since I've said this to Miyamoto, and I don't think I've ever said it to Illumination, but thank you for making this movie.
Now, about a sequel or spinoff... I'm not saying don't take your time with it, but...
@TrixieSparkle Woah! That's something I never knew until now! Man, Mario RPG had so many hidden secrets. I never spent much time on Yo'ster Isle, but I remember spending a ton of time in Grate Guy's Casino. Here's hoping all of those cool secrets return in the remake, including the boss fight against Culex.
@dkxcalibur I'm a Pikmin expert, so allow me to help you here.
Most people will tell you that you can start anywhere, typically Pikmin 3 since it has the most polish and QOL features of the bunch. However, Captain Olimar, the protagonist of the first two games, is a major recurring character throughout the series. If you want to get the most out of his story, I suggest starting with the very first game before moving onto Pikmin 2 (which takes place immediately after the first game), and then playing through Pikmin 3 Deluxe, which is easily the definitive version of the game as it added a ton of extra stuff, including new story content focusing on Olimar.
Grab Pikmin 1 + 2 from the Switch eShop, or wait until the physical double pack releases later this year if you want. The Switch version of Pikmin 1 in particular is easily the best way to play the game now, due to an extremely common and frustrating glitch being patched out.
Hey! Pikmin on 3DS is an unremarkable spinoff, so it's not essential, but I personally find it to be a decent, even underrated game. Most people hate on it because it was released at the wrong time.
With Volume 1 not even including all of the content on the cartridge, if this ends up being real, I'll probably pass on it too. Such a shame as well. I was hyped for the return of Metal Gear and would have gladly bought the games again on Switch, even if I already own The Legacy Collection on PS3.

Re: Hands On: Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 Could Be So Much More, But Isn't
So wait... you're telling me that Sons of Liberty and Snake Eater don't even reach 60 fps on Switch, despite the fact that they both achieved it relatively easily on PS3 and Xbox 360, hardware that's nearly two decades old, with the Switch being more powerful than both?
Fun fact: the 'e' in Konami stands for effort.
Re: Talking Point: Will You Pay $50 For Red Dead Redemption On Switch?
I don't even care that much about Red Dead Redemption, I just wanted to comment here to show my appreciation for the Toy Story 2 reference in the tagline. It's my all-time favourite film and any reference to it makes me smile.
Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Pikmin 4?
For this game to score that highly though, that's all I could ask for.
tl;dr: This game blows Pikmin 3 out of the water.
Re: Video: Digital Foundry's Technical Analysis Of Pikmin 1+2 On Switch
@TheBigK Let's wait until official sales numbers for Pikmin 4 are revealed before we make those assumptions.
@theModestMouse And yet I'd still rather pay full price for actual ownership of the games, especially when those games are some of my favourites of all time. (No, I'm not subscribed to NSO.)

Re: Poll: Pikmin 4 Is Out On Switch This Week, Will You Be Getting It?
I've been waiting 10 long years for this game, of course I'm getting it! And yes, I did pre-order it. That's something I rarely ever do (I can count on one hand the number of games I've pre-ordered in the past), but this game is special. That said, I want to go in as blind as possible, so I'm going dark from here on out.
Re: Poll: Which Dormant Nintendo Franchise Would You Most Like To See Return?
Re: Random: Nintendo's Pikmin Short Movies Are Still Blooming Marvellous Nearly 10 Years On
I still feel a little miffed about the fact that I purchased these shorts on Wii U, only for them to be uploaded to YouTube six years later where they can be watched for free.

Re: Pikmin Timeline Story Recap - What Happened Before Pikmin 4?
@PipeGuy64Bit At least be glad those loose ends got tied up instead of us having to wait even longer for answers, or worse, those loose ends being completely forgotten about.
And if you're worried about the idea that Pikmin 4 is a reboot, both the English and Japanese websites acknowledge the events of the previous games, more or less confirming that this game is a continuation of the story rather than a reboot. Also, while I don't know any specifics, there are plot details that have been uncovered through datamines that also support this being a continuation.Edit: I was wrong. Ignore the above.
Re: Feature: That Time Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Made Mario Bros. Go Full Inception
Re: Feature: That Time Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Made Mario Bros. Go Full Inception
Re: Sonic Chronicles Sequel Details Revealed By Former BioWare Lead Designer
Re: Capcom Provides A Vague But Mildly Promising Update On Mega Man's Future
While I've only ever been a fan of the original Mega Man series (I still need to get around to playing 11), I can wait as long as I have to for a new game. I'm just glad that the series hasn't been forgotten about yet again. I'd more than welcome a Mega Man 12, but I'd be happy for the fans of other dormant Mega Man series like X or Legends to get a new game as well, especially the Legends fans. You all have my sympathy...
Re: Random: Sakurai Explains Why True Twin-Stick Controls Weren't Possible For Kid Icarus: Uprising
@stevep I have no idea why you would want something like the original Kid Icarus when Uprising is better in literally every single way. The NES game is beyond outdated, and I don't think anyone remembers or cares for the Game Boy game.
Re: Random: Sakurai Explains Why True Twin-Stick Controls Weren't Possible For Kid Icarus: Uprising
Re: Takaya Imamura: F-Zero Hasn't Been Revived Because Mario Kart Is Nintendo's "Most Popular Racing Game"
Re: Nintendo's Pikmin 4 Demo Is Now Available On The Switch eShop
Re: Nintendo's Pikmin 4 Demo Is Now Available On The Switch eShop
I just watched the trailer and... oh my lord...
THEY BROUGHT BACK THE PIKLOPEDIA, COMPLETE WITH PIKPIK CARROT FUNCTIONALITY! AND YOU CAN REMATCH BOSSES TOO!
THE MAN-AT-LEGS IS BACK! I REPEAT, THE MAN-AT-LEGS IS BACK! THOSE MADMEN BROUGHT BACK THE MACHINE GUN SPIDER, MY ALL-TIME FAVOURITE PIKMIN BOSS!
This is literally everything I've dreamed of! I CANNOT WAIT!
Re: Round Up: Here Are The First "Hands On" Impressions Of Pikmin 4
@TheBigK Then why are you here, commenting on this article? It sounds like Pikmin isn't for you. Perhaps you should go and play some other game you can enjoy, and let us Pikmin fans get hyped for this game.
Re: Round Up: Here Are The First "Hands On" Impressions Of Pikmin 4

Least insane Splatoon player.
Re: Review: Pikmin 1 - A Bare-Bones Port, But A Joyous Adventure
@StarPoint Pikmin 2's story is actually at least 20 hours long, which is more than double the length of the first game. And that's not even getting into the Challenge Mode stages, which can get pretty, well, challenging, especially if you're going for 0 pikmin deaths in all of them to unlock the secret bonus cutscene.
Re: Nintendo Updates Pikmin 3 Deluxe Switch Icon In Latest Patch (Version 1.1.1)
Re: Review: Pikmin 1 - A Bare-Bones Port, But A Joyous Adventure
ATTENTION EVERYONE! This review forgot to mention that the crushing glitch, AKA the worst thing about the original version, was finally fixed in this port, ergo making it the best version of the game.

Re: Nintendo And Illumination Thank Fans For Supporting The Super Mario Bros. Movie
You're welcome. It's been a long time since I've said this to Miyamoto, and I don't think I've ever said it to Illumination, but thank you for making this movie.
Now, about a sequel or spinoff... I'm not saying don't take your time with it, but...
Re: Feature: 17 Reasons To Be Excited About The Super Mario RPG Remake
@TrixieSparkle Woah! That's something I never knew until now! Man, Mario RPG had so many hidden secrets. I never spent much time on Yo'ster Isle, but I remember spending a ton of time in Grate Guy's Casino. Here's hoping all of those cool secrets return in the remake, including the boss fight against Culex.
Re: Nintendo Updates Pikmin 3 Deluxe Switch Icon In Latest Patch (Version 1.1.1)
Re: Rumour: Metal Gear Solid 4, 5, and Peace Walker May Be Included In Vol. 2 Collection
With Volume 1 not even including all of the content on the cartridge, if this ends up being real, I'll probably pass on it too. Such a shame as well. I was hyped for the return of Metal Gear and would have gladly bought the games again on Switch, even if I already own The Legacy Collection on PS3.
