Perfect timing! One of my favorite things to do back in the day was to start a new game after dinner and try to beat it by midnight. One of the most replayable games that rewards familiarity with the mansion as well as skill taking on the boss ghosts, I loved trying to get a higher score.

Switch 2 confirmed, gonna need lots of power for this bad boy. I hope Ben Quadinaros is playable.

Knights of the Old Republic is a great game. It has some of the best storytelling in Star Wars, so worth checking out if you’ve never played it.

Not surprised with Aspyr but I will say that I was able to play online matches in battlefront 2 without any significant issues on switch.

Very excited for battlefront, the online will probably be rough, but my favorite way to play was always couch co-op anyways. The campaigns and galactic conquests are super fun.

The return of the king. The ultimate sleepover game back in the day. Can’t wait to play this. Hopefully 4 player split screen is still there, online is very exciting though!

Still hoping for the classic battlefront and rogue squadron games some day. Also wouldn’t mind the original lego star wars games.

Well it was false advertising plain and simple. The trailers specifically mentioned that the restored content DLC was coming, so you can’t really argue that. Unfortunately a law suit probably won’t make the DLC release. At the end of the day Aspyr is to blame for over promising, if they did not have it locked in, they should not have said anything. The whole situation is just kind of sad.

As a side note KOTOR 2 is a very solid experience even without the DLC.

Happy to hear this, replayability has always been strong in the Pikmin franchise. It’s a game of constant improvement.

Hopefully the restored content dlc is released soon… it’s about time. Also hopefully the dlc is on the cartridge.

Although I’ve always thought a Waluigi game would look similar to untitled goose game’s syle of gameplay. Just Waluigi messing around with people in the Mushroom Kingdom. With a dedicated “WAH” button.

Wind Waker’s art style is timeless.

Yeah, that’s inexcusable… without the restored content DLC released, there’s no reason to start a game yet anyway. Also no reason for Aspyr to have released this game early. A shame too because it’s a great game and this will undoubtedly put a bad taste in peoples mouths.

I’m not surprised though, Aspyr has had to patch most of their Star Wars ports and the original KOTOR II was very buggy to begin with.

I have a feeling they will polish things up a bit more as well. Also very excited to see this revamped ending. The original KOTOR II ending always felt abrupt to me.

To anyone who started already and is committed, the good news is this game has a decent replay value. If you picked a female jedi guardian character and went light side, try picking a male jedi counselor character and going dark side. You’ll get a different experience with some different party members too.

Excited for KOTOR II but waiting for the DLC to drop before starting.

I still prefer KOTOR 1, but this one has some great improvements: Party members are more important and they vary based on your character choices, your actions effect more of the story, you start as a force user, and there is no level cap.

As per the other Star Wars ports, give it a month or so and they will fix most of the issues. KOTOR 1 had audio files missing, the combat textbox and other issues but they patched it and it’s way better now than it was at launch. Also might as well wait for the DLC to come out.

@Truegamer79 Both are great games with interesting stories and characters. I think the first game is better overall but the second has some nice features like no level cap, you start out as a force user and your decisions have a larger impact on the story and your companions.

The second entry is darker and mixes a few things up. Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask is probably a decent comparison. The second builds well upon the first.

Amazing storytelling in these games, even if your not the biggest star wars fan, I still recommend checking them out.

Restored content!! That’s awesome!! Also interested in this “New revamped ending” as I personally have always felt kotor II had a very average ending. Really excited for this!

It would be better if Pac Man was underneath the speech bubble. That way it looks like Pac Man is saying “Bandai Namco”. Pac Man represents the fans conveying enthusiasm for the brand.

@creativeusernamehere Original xbox, and steam. Steam just never felt right to me, probably because I was using mouse and keyboard controls… But I loved the xbox version, played it so much when I was younger, my disc barely works anymore!

You bring up some good points in your post, I haven’t noticed the missing audio yet, that needs to be fixed... I did notice the title screen movie was missing right away, not a huge deal to me. I also noticed that the save timer continues when the switch is in sleep mode. I emailed support yesterday about the save files and text box size. Thanks for reminding me of the audio clips though, I will mention that as well.

I will be emailing them just to ask about it. I’m glad they have an easy contact method for us to do that.

Honestly though even with the big box, this is still the definitive version of the game for me. It plays and feels better than the xbox and steam versions. I’ve really been enjoying playing it again!

@Ventilator sorry for the confusion, that’s what I meant, the sequel never reached the heights it should have compared to the original. Just because it’s a sequel doesn’t mean it can’t meet or exceed it’s predecessor.

Your exactly right, Mario Maker 2 is basically the same game with some additions but also some downgrades. That’s the problem, I just wish they did more to improve the sequel, that’s the wasted potential I was referring to.

Brilliant writing and story telling. Some mechanics may feel dated but if you can get past that, this game is absolutely top notch!

By far the best Switch port Aspyr has done, by a longshot. The other star wars ports had quite a few issues but I’ve had none so far!

Knights of the Old Republic for me. Can’t wait to revisit that on switch.

I’d love to see the original Luigi’s Mansion come to switch

Knights of the Old Republic is one of my favorite games of all time. High replay value, great characters and an amazing story.

For anyone who has not played this game yet, go in knowing nothing. Several plot twists happen and you don't want to miss out on the experience of playing the story first hand.

One thing I will say is give the game a couple hours, the start can be a little slow, but it picks up big time a couple hours in and then keeps getting better and better till the end.

@Wyatt006 I’m hoping they port KOTOR II in the near future. Then double pack both KOTOR games in a physical bundle. That would be awesome.

That would be a dream come true.

For anyone who hasn’t played this go in knowing nothing, several plot twists happen and for me this was what I imagine the “I am your father” moment experience was like in theaters. By the time I saw empire strikes back, that quote was engraved in pop culture, so I had no real shock from the plot twist. This game has a great story even though it gets off to a slow start at first.

That would be nice… GBA would be really awesome. I’ve been playing some on the good old wii u. They hold up great.

At this point I’m done expecting anything to be added, so whatever happens is a nice surprise.
