How bizarre they decided to do Overcooked 2 instead of the All You Can Eat edition that has everything from both games, new levels, and online Crossplay.

It makes sense with more context. He isn't saying it in a corporate cold "Here's a bottle of coke, drink it and move on to the next one" kind of way, he's saying "What's the best way I can create this thing, that people will buy and be satisfied with?"
They're missing the point. (But that's probably intentional.) People don't want them to be online forever - people want them to be playable. That could mean a game that was an always-online multiplayer game such as Fortnite being able to be played via lan, local multiplayer, or against ai opponents, for example. All of the work is there - it just requires them to make the game work without constantly reporting back to the mothership.
Just like how I can play Mario Kart DS via local wireless and against computers, and Super Smash Bros. Brawl against my friends, family, and computer players locally, even though the online services for those games have been discontinued.
Ahh, Panic on Funktron. I was worried about this game being lost once they delist the Genesis Classics game on the eShop. Glad to see it won't disappear.
Allow me to be the first to clarify that Knockout City still exists in a playable state on PC thanks to Velan releasing a build of the game that works with privately fan-hosted servers.
I don't like when news sources that want to pass themselves off as legitimate, and whom people always trust and expect honest news from, run April Fools gags. Ruins your entire company's credibility, and is cringe instead of funny. Please don't do this.
I would argue that Knockout City was the more ambitious project of the three they released. Unfortunate that it made such little impact on the gaming community as a whole to only get one tiny mention in this article, because it was probably one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life.
Maybe NintendoLife should stop reporting and posting news articles on fan games? It's pretty obvious Nintendo looks at this website. It's like you guys WANTED to see it get taken down.
@Nintendo_Thumb Hey there! I saw you played my 24 course Complex Simplicity series on Wii U. I have released a 55 course enhanced remake of this series in Mario Maker 2, Complex Simplicity +, and I'd love for you to give it another shot. The first 40 courses are in the superworld format, but you must manually start the remaining 15 from my profile.
I mean, Best Buy and other associated stores with Switch kiosks had a Super Mario Odyssey demo before the game ever came out, and it never came to the eShop. I wouldn't hold my breath for a download of this.
I still haven't updated the game past 1.1.1, and probably won't until i get a fair enough amount into the game where I won't feel like I'm just starting a new BoTW save file.
Okay, well, you can't compare a physical item purchase with ties to digital functionality in a video game... to digital purchases for make-believe items in a game with no actual tangible real-world benefit. It's apples and oranges.
If 2K sent you a physical representation of something in the game in EXCHANGE for the MTX, that would be different, and still not very comparable. It's not like scanning your amiibo lets you play as Zelda, or Mario, or PIkachu. It changes the texture on something that isn't even on-screen all of the time.
@Chaotic_Neutral Nobody cares about glider fabric.
You purchase Amiibo for the physical figure. 2k isn't sending me a minifig or a kit to build my creation in this piece of garbage game after purchasing the MTX in it.
Swap the in-game controls to 1.2 and then use the Switch's control remapping feature to swap the left and right joysticks while you're playing and you'll be golden. It controls fine after that.

What's with the people complaining about having to go touch grass? Has Covid really ruined society that hard?
It's one thing to not HAVE the store, or to live too far away from one, those are valid complaints, but "I just don't feel like leaving the house"???
