The Nintendo-published title Dragalia Lost has so far been well-received by mobile users, despite its limited launch. Following the previous news it had outperformed the sales of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp in the first two weeks, Sensor Tower has revealed the Cygames-developer title is now Nintendo's second-biggest mobile launch in the US and Japan, placing it right behind Fire Emblem Heroes.
Sensor Tower's Store Intelligence data reveals the game has grossed an estimated $28 million since it arrived in five select countries on 26th September, with US and Japan making up $23 million of those sales. As the chart below illustrates, Dragalia Lost made $3.2 million more than the 2016 iOS release Super Mario Run in US and Japan in the first month.
One metric where Dragalia Lost beats existing releases is the ratio of player spending to downloads. In terms of downloads, the game was installed an estimated 1.3 million times in the US and Japan, with average revenue per download at around $18.00. According to Sensor Tower, this is three times the amount spent on Fire Emblem Heroes per download in the first month.
In total, 67 percent of the game's revenue has come from Japan in the first month. Japanese players are believed to have spent an average of $25.00 per install, compared to $8.50 by US players. In contrast, Fire Emblem Heroes grossed $5.80 for each download in Japan.

Just curious, any possibility for Dragalia appear on Switch in Physical form ?
I'm not interested with Dragalia, but still curious if Nintendo can bring that game on Nintendo Switch.
im shocked as well that this isn't on switch. consider how success it is on mobile.
I would love to play it, but it's still not available here. It's really nice that this game has done so well without even being released everywhere
@Aozz101x @Anti-Matter I highly doubt this game will ever make it onto Switch, the game heavily relies on what I find at least to be annoying touch and drag touchscreen controls and the whole game in general is centered around a mobile design.
Also they are dealing with entirely different markets, Fire Emblem and now Dragalia have done so well because of people spending money to get more chances to collect event characters and whatnot, which is something that wouldn’t fit the Switch as well in my opinion at least.
@Deku-Scrub @Aozz101x @Anti-Matter I am more curious to see if the IP will land on switch. Assuming the lore and such can be worked for a console made game.
Especially with how Nintendo remembered JRPGs are a thing this gen.
@Anti-Matter It's way too basic and it's a F2P game.
I love RPGs, but I really don't get this game...
And I really don't get why people spend real money on these games.
@XenoShaun @Deku-Scrub @Aozz101x @Anti-Matter yeah based on the format... it wouldn’t be a good fit for Switch, the game as much a stereotypical mobile game as possible. But the IP could be used on Switch if they want, I’d love to see a more fleshed out action RPG in the universe and it has a huge selection of characters.
@Trajan I haven't spent a dime on the game but it's pretty fun. The big draw is definitely watching the number go up.
Honestly, this game does everything I hate about mobile games... yet I’m hooked. At some point I’ll miss a few days and break the addiction but I ended up spending a few bucks in it yesterday since I’ve logged so many hours. Just wish the microtransactions were a bit more fairly priced.
I'm hoping to try this one out after I've had my fill of FE: Heroes.
...That or I'll transition back into Pokemon Shuffle and finally take down Conkeldurr....
@Loserkid41 Maybe I just didn't play it enough. All I did was drag my guy through a simple maze, tap the phone for the small enemies, then get to the boss and tap and slide.
I've been carrying around my 2ds xl with me at work lately and just playing Bravely Default instead.
Still not available in Mexico.
I might give this a try if they toned down the microtransactions.
you know, it's bad enough many (female) anime' characters in games have over-exaggerated features, but why do they also have to have the face of a 12 year old ???
Time to fire up those Huawei gaming phones 😏🙄
The concept is interesting enough, judging from the trailers. It looks to have the makings of a compelling new IP should Nintendo choose to expand on it with a real game.
New Nintendo IPs are hit-and-miss with me, but I'd definitely support this if it saw a fully featured JRPG iteration on the Switch. There aren't squid people, spring arms, or anything! Just awesome anime action and dragons.
With this success, Cygames might put a sequel on the Switch.
I hope its coming too europe soon!
Not interested in a dumbed down mobile RPG with touch screen controls. But the casuals will, as usual dictate the market.
I don't consider myself a "hardcore gamer". I am not the type to buckle down and play games in high difficulty and go for 100%s and stuff. But I am, if anything, a "traditional gamer". I want buttons and joysticks. D-pads and triggers. I want a gaming device, not a device where games are an after thought.
...still waiting for it to be available in Europe.
Meanwhile mainly playing Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, but also playing both Animal Crossing Pocket Camp and Fire Emblem Heroes.
To all the people in Europe. Download via APK pure. I'm in the UK. You can thank me later
Can we have it in Europe now please Nintendo?
@Anti-Matter maybe a full switch game will be lanuched its a new ip as far as i know they will want ++ releases
Recently got back into Pocket Camp and not surprised it has the least revenue of them all. Those Leaf tickets are just too expensive. I would like to give them some money for the game, but you just don't get enough in return.
Would it be cool if we got a character from here in smash?
@Moms-Meowth some of us got iOS
@Anti-Matter Id love to see a Switch version of Dragalia Lost but not the current game. Id like to see a fully fleshed out version without microtransaction.
@WaffleKnight I haven't had a need to spend a single dollar yet.
