Re: Review: JSAUX All-In-One Carry Case For Switch 2 - Rugged, Robust, And Just Really Good

Debo626

@Kang81 @olliemar28 I already have one; pre-ordered last day of February and it arrived September 11th and tbh I really like it. Was just asking about an NL review because as a fan I'd like to see more publicity and reviews for it. NintendoLife has a large audience and they reviewed the OG Satisfye grip back on 2018 so this also seems like a logical step for Switch 2.
Anyway, @Kang81 sorry you you don't like the case. It is larger than their S1 offerings it's true; the console is so much bigger though. IDK for me it's perfect but I hope you find a grip and case combo that work for you m8.
@olliemar28 thanks for a good review here and for considering my suggestion to look into Satisfye. 😊

Re: Daemon X Machina: Titanic Scion Gets A Free Demo On Switch 2

Debo626

Downloaded and played through the first few scenes and it was very meh. I'd also tried the demo of the first game and was unimpressed then, never ending yo buying the full first game. After last night's experience, wherein I was wishing I were playing XCX:DE instead because it's better in every way, I'll be skipping the full game for Titanic Scion too, which is a real shame as I'd been looking forward to this. But between the hanky unintuitive controls and poorly explained gameplay mechanics, it'll be easy for me to skip and go back to waiting for the next Zelda or MonolithSoft game. 🤷 I do hope those who get into this game do genuinely enjoy it and that it sells well and makes its target audience happy. I am just obviously not the target audience.

Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting The Switch 2's Next Exclusive 'Drag x Drive'?

Debo626

Nope. Lots of reasons why, but they boil down to it just doesn't excite me. 🤷
That and I am still very much stuck into Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition. It runs slightly smoother on S2 without as many frame rate hiccups and the dynamic resolution seems to trend more toward the higher end, but I still hope for a Switch 2 upgrade or patch. What an amazing and dense game. I'm so psyched for MonolithSoft's inevitable Switch 2 project.

Re: Nintendo Announces First Cast Members For The Legend Of Zelda Movie

Debo626

This is good news. Their previous rumored Zelda would have bombed the film. Having not heard of either of these two actors is a massive win for the fans and gives me a little hope this might turn out entertaining. At this point I am (very cautiously) starting to be optimistic.

@PikminMarioKirby I know exactly what you mean and I couldn't agree more.

Re: Nintendo Has Seemingly Taken Further Steps To Combat 'eSlop' On Switch 2

Debo626

@Spider-Kev 1. Shouldn't have to!
2. My loving room TV is clearly visible from the sidewalk in front of my house... Neighbors are allowed to be there!
3. I'm from a coastal US state; of course I've been to the beach. If you don't understand there's a clear difference between bikinis at a beach and overtly disproportionate half naked anime mammaries on a TV screen, you and I are just not going to agree on this. To each their own man; obviously we have different morals.
4. You go do your life however you want, and stop trying to convince me that nudity and indecency are OK to be thrust in my face when scrolling the eshop. I'm not the only one who has a problem with this. I'd ask you..
Why are you ok with it? It's kinda weird man.

Re: Nintendo Has Seemingly Taken Further Steps To Combat 'eSlop' On Switch 2

Debo626

@Spider-Kev No, not all censorship needs to stop. They need to lock the h*****i content and giant anime mammaries behind an age check, and give those of us older than 18 the option to not display those titles. Again, I browse the eshop on my 55" living room TV and shouldn't have to worry if passersby happen to glance in my window. People are nosey, and I don't want dcyf called on me because I'm browsing the eshop and Nosey Nancy down the street knows we have kids in the home. It's a video game console, not an adult website; we shouldn't be forced to scroll through that type of content. I'm all for freedom of speech and agree that excessive censorship is bad, however, what about freedom of discretion?

Re: Nintendo Has Seemingly Taken Further Steps To Combat 'eSlop' On Switch 2

Debo626

@KoopaTheGamer My kids are 9 and 10. They should be able to browse the eshop. Additionally, I as an adult should also be able to browse the shop without giant anime mammaries all over my living room TV. The freedoms I as a parent allow my children aren't really the issue here, and I'd appreciate it if you could refrain from attempting to frame the situation as though they are.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (12th July)

Debo626

Working on my endgame build in Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition, making my way through the Grand Prix cups and Knockout Tours in Mario Kart World, enjoying the Hypersonic cups in Fast Fusion, and getting in some Split Shot Heatseeker in Rocket League. Might also throw BotW in and find some more koroks, and No Man's Sky just because it's such a visual treat on Switch 2 now. Happy gaming weekend everyone!

Re: iFixit Performs A Full Teardown Of Nintendo's "P**s-Poor" Pro Controller

Debo626

@rushiosan Extra waste in the landfills and more hassle for me the end user? No thanks. Rechargeable batteries or hard pass from me. Your experience may differ, but I do NOT want to have to swap out double-As all the time...or ever lol. Nah, Switch 2 Pro Controller is awesome so far, and a teardown channel disagreeing with me doesn't budge my opinion. It works perfectly for my purposes as a gamer and that's all I need it to do.

Re: Switch Port Specialist Believes Switch 2 Can Surpass Its Predecessor's Success

Debo626

@Anti-Matter That will have exactly 0% to do with whether Switch 2 is successful or not. We get it; you hate game-key cards. To each their own. I'm not a huge fan either, but they're better than a code in a box. At the end of the day, the broader casual market will decide, not randomers on internet fansites. You have to remember, you and everyone else on NintendoLife and other sites, reading the daily news and leaks and paying close daily attention to this, none of us are the mainstream audience. We're enthusiasts. Enthusiasts aren't the biggest market so platform holders don't target us. They target the mainstream, largest possible audience. Most people don't care about physical. 🤷 Most people just want good games at a fair price, which is what we're getting now.

Re: Switch 2 Welcome Tour Developer Gets Officially Revealed

Debo626

@BrokenCiv You're missing out. For every person like you stubbornly refusing to give it a chance because you think you "deserve" it for free, there's someone like me out there gleefully undermining your argument by buying it happily as a tech nerd. You're not changing anything with your position; you're just denying yourself a fun experience. To each their own I guess, but it's been a month and it seems like it's about time to let this go, at least enough to not comment whenever this game has an article.
Good day. 😊

Re: Of Course Mario Kart World Is Being Review Bombed

Debo626

@JungleATK 100% and well-said. @RupeeClock, read the above user's comment. Your rationale for defending review bombing makes no sense, and I still emphatically disagree with your position here. Again, to each their own, you do you, and all that, but to me review bombing = adults throwing whiny tantrums.

Re: Of Course Mario Kart World Is Being Review Bombed

Debo626

@RupeeClock @LEGEND_MARIOID Sorry Rupee, I disagree. Review bombing is not a legitimate means of "speaking dissatisfaction" because it is by definition dishonest. If one is so upset about the update to online that the game gets a 0/10, that is axiomatically a dishonest review. The game is objectively not a 0/10, and the review bomber has just lost all intellectual credibility by trying to claim that it is simply due to a subjective preference with online play. Sorry, I do not agree with the premise of your statement. Upset about online course selection = 3, maybe 4 points off the score at most. So yes, a 0/10 is disinformation, no question. There are other, more effective ways of "speaking dissatisfaction" and legitimizing review bombers is definitely not helping the general state of online discourse, which is already pretty bad in most corners of the internet.

Re: Feature: 22 Games With 'Secret' Performance Bumps You Should Revisit On Switch 2

Debo626

Hoping for some free updates for the Xenoblade games. At this point, I'd love the "hidden 60 fps mode" to be available on Switch 2. I'd never pay for a Switch 2 Edition of XC2 because that game was enough to suffer through once, but I am beyond psyched for MonolithSoft's eventual next game. Their gamemaking skills and creativity plus very capable hardware is, I believe, going to blow people's minds.

Re: Drag X Drive Switch 2 eShop Price Revealed

Debo626

This could be free and I wouldn't be interested in wheelchair basketball. Seems very off to me. But for those thay are psyched for this, I'm happy it's a reasonable price for their sake. Unless you think $20 is too much, in which case I absolutely agree.

Re: Poll: Are You Happy With Switch 2's Screen? Because Some People Certainly Aren't

Debo626

I have both and am not fussed. The higher resolution and much larger size of the S2 screen plus HDR make it so I can't really feel it as a "downgrade," for my eyes anyway. Things like this are very subjective. Again, I'm happy with S2 so far. It's everything I wanted a Switch successor to be: a bigger, more powerful Switch.

Also, as others have said, a 1080p, 120hz, VRR-capable OLED with HDR doesn't really exist for all practical purposes, and I shudder to think of what a Switch 2 with such a screen would cost. Suffice to say people would complain more than they already are about pricing. 🤷
