@KeeperBvK did you check today for the Nintendo Museum tickets? Lots of people who never claimed theirs from the multiple entries tickets should be back in the pot.
@KeeperBvK The Mario Kart ride is not a rollercoaster and more an interactive game so I think he will be fine, and the Yoshi Ride is for smaller kids and the animatronics are cute. The yoshi ride is really for wee kids. I felt quite sad being a 41 year old man in a Luigi costume riding it 🤣🤣🤣
@KeeperBvK just keep checking. Have you been to Japan before? Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios there is actually sensational. Best themed park I was ever in. It was so authentic. It feels alive and the Japanese people make it so special.
On the other hand the one in Hollywood Universal feels unfinished and the staff are just rude and take away from the experience. The merchandise in Japan is awesome too. I highly recommend the Express Pass to guarantee entry and go on a Wednesday or Thursday as there are school trips there on Mondays and Tuesdays. If you dont get the Express Pass you will be queuing very early to get into the Nintendo section
Hopefully they will open Donkey Kong Country by then as it was delayed and no sign of it opening yet.
@KeeperBvK It is si rubbish for you. 3 of my 6 entries won. There will be a lot of cancellations so check back. I think they have to be claimed by 7th and then it is first come first served.
It depends what it is first. Maybe they should have a hone version as powerful as PS5, a portable only, and a hybrid. Steam Deck has shown it is possible to have PC quality games downgraded for a handheld.
@KeeperBvK I have put my name down for 2 tickets. I don't know if my friend can come, but if I win and you don't, and he doesn't I will have one spare!
I have tried to book tickets for Wednesday 13th November as i booked tickets then as I wanted to go to Donkey Kong Country which does not look like it is happening.
You go into a draw to get the Nintendo Museum tickets. I will literally be broken if I do not get them. What a dream come true this could be. Please I need lots of positive energy and wishes for luck that I get them.
I am in the draw as travelling to Japan in November. I will be heartbroken if I do not get tickets as it looks like Donkey Kong Country will no longer be opening in time for my visit.
"Hey Nintendo, why don't you give us a cheaper Player Selects range?"
This. It is insane this is still topping charts after all those years. I don't know if it speaks only of its popularity, or of the lesser quality of current game releases.
@Ralizah The combat was possibly a bit more challenging, but the puzzles were insultingly easy, and the dungeons even more so. The dungeons were devoid of challenge, and the bosses completley uninspired compared to those within the Divine Beasts. The Divine Beasts as dungeons were far more creative and inspired, with nice challenging puzzles.
I find it really not good that Nintendo could not even be bothered to translate the Starfy games when fans have already done this via emulation. For all it would have took them.
BotW is 1million times better than TotK. I think TotK is a bloated, boring and insultingly easy game compared to the first, so I am not surprised it is selling better.
The new Zelda model might help a little for it to catch up with PS2. A new mainline zpokemon with a new model could also help. Nintendo should have pulled out all the stops to get it to the top milestone.
@DwaynesGames I wholeheartedly agree with you. I wonder if we will ever get a Mario Kart 10 considering 9 sells better than most games still year on year. I see Nintendo uprezzing the graphics and keeping it as is. It must be the best selling single console game of all time (Wii Sports not included).
I just hope that the awful sweary trailer for BG&E 2 which was clearly aimed at appealing to the X-Box 360 generation of gamers (the worst in history), is not what the final product is going to be, and we get a direct sequel that uses the original as its foundation instead.
I love Zelda, I have Zalda tattoos, and I think BotW is the best game if the past 20 years; however, for me TotK was repetitive, easy, too big, no sense of discovery, baby easy dungeons, awful bosses, easy puzzles, The Depts were bland and the Sky Are felt tacked on. Using the sane map felt there was no sense of discovery. For me it felt like generic Assassin's Creed than a Zelda game.
For me, Square Enix bastardised their core franchises and - apart from mainline Dragon Quest games - most of them lost their spirit. In trying to appeal more to Western gamers, Final Fantasy has become a shadow of its former self and not evolved how it's fans wanted. They kept churning and churning ***** games out based on their main franchises and cared only about making money rather than high quality games for their fans. Dragon Quest XI S is the last truly great game, and ironically the first truly great game, I played from them in a long time. FFXVI started so well on the story front but about 30rs in and I am completely losing interest. For the FFVII remake I woukd have loved the option for having the old school tactical turn based battles as an option.
I have my annual leave booked in November to do 3 weeks in japan. Will be in this park on the 13th or 14th November. I waa at Super Nintendo World in November 2022 and it is magical. It puts the Hollywood Nintendo park to shame. The merchandise, size and staff are so much better at USJ.
@Blackjay It is a British list. Mario is the most iconic and recognisable video game character in the World and that is fact. I am British and gaming trends here have been different. Sackboy is also a British character. I love his games. But British gaming habits are different.
@Rambler People in UK liked the arcadey type Megadrive games. UK gamers were more about coolness than gameplay (although Tomb Raider was amazing back in the day). Also back then Nintendo historically never release a lot of games to the European market, in particular almost all RPG games like Earthbound, Fintasy IV, V, VI, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG etc.
@Rambler Until Switch came out, that was never, ever the case. The Megadrive/Genesis was bigger here than the SNES, and Sony beat every other console apart from maybe the 360 as the dumbed down for the masses games on that console were a hit with us Brits.
The Baftas are British (as was Lara Croft although they have taken away her hilariously posh Emglish accent). Nintendo has never been as big in the UK as we are known for having a huge preference for dumbed down violent games.
Mario is not only the most iconic video game character, he is apparently more recognisable to young kids than Mickey Mouse now so I would not take this list seriously.
Tears if the Kingdom was insultingly easy compared to Breath of the Wild. Everyone was excited to see the return of Dungeons; however, they were so uninspired and easy it turned out 5he challenging puzzles and excellent level design of the Divine Beasts were much better. TotK had so much uninspired and easy filler. The Depths felt pointless, repetitive and boring.
@Ryne-Gaia Someone working at a Nintendo Park, should understand that someone who bought a wristband from the Japan Park, why it would be important to them. If someone is beibg polite to them, there is no need to be rude back and it says more about them. I hope you do not work in customer facing work if you are that judgemental.
@Johnnycide The Osaka one is bigger as it has a desert level section and the Yoshi ride. There are more stores and more games for the Power-up Band. The band fell of my wrist in Japan and the staff went out their way to find it for me and I was dressed like Luigi and they were all jumping around. In Holywood my wristband fell off within 10 mins of going into the park. The staff were rude and dismissive and not interested and it really took away from the fun of the park. It is smaller, the merchandise is rubbish and it felt it looked unfinished. The rest of the park is not great compared to Florida or Japan either.
After being there, and the one in Japan I can honestly say the Hollywood park is crap. It looks unfinished, you can see everything outside the park and the staff are rude and unhelpful. In Japan it is bigger, you can't see anything outside the park so it feels like you are in the Mushroom Kingdom and the staff really make it a magical experience for you! The merchandise in Jaan is amazing too.

No Hollow Knight again
A farming game
A Metroidvania
A farming game
A release date hopefully for Fantasian as it looks awesome.
