I am just back from the park in Japan and it is sensational. The people who work their really act the part and it feels magical.

The game charts would indicate people like Nintendo games in the UK. X-Box is mainly popular in the UK and yhe USA and nowhere else I thought.

For sure I would have put the opening screen of Super Metroid too. It perfectly set the scene for the game to come, probably more so than any other game.

I would like some new monsters instead of variants of others

Majora's Mask is the most complex (and one of the best), it is definitely not the one to play first. Start with a Link to the Past and play in order to see the evolution from there. The evolution from 2D to 3D was the best of any game series. I did not think as much of the Gamecube/Wii trio as they were far too easy in comparison.

Their franchises are bastardised. The churn out ganes like there is no tomorrow with half of the quality of what they used to.

@Thenewguy But great gameplay with great graphics is even better.

I really want this game so bad. DQXI S for me is 2nd only to BotW on Switch. Fingers crossed we get this game.

They give us games like Bravely Default and Live A Live (the latter apparently selling very wel) so why not this?.

There really was no contest. Pokemon Black and White, in my opinion, are the only Pokemon games to ever have a good story.

I think I am the only person that found these games boring. The first game on particular had an amazing setting and great ending, but I found the gameplay sooooo boring and repetitive.

I wished we would get some all new monsters instead of all these variants. Tbh because the vast majority of monsters in the dlc are new variants, I feel short changed as the number of new monsters/returning are so small, when the dlc was not exactly the cheapest.

Considering most of these Japan only games have been translated by fans for emulators, there is no reason why we should not get these either.

I would love to see more Rare games, the Goemon games as well as Mischief Makers.

I got this on PS5. I so wanted it to be good after the amazing New'n'Tasty, but there are so many bad and archaic design choices that I just can't love it like I do the other Oddworld games.

Nintendo have changed. The customer service 8n Europe is very, very bad. Their customer service number, the staff used to be extremely friendly and helpful, how you would imagine Nintendo. Now they are often rude and extremely unhelpful. From when I worked in a customer service centre prior to going to university, this is a good indication of very bad working conditions. It is such a shame that a company making record profits would treat staff and customers in such a way.

I don't think there is a site that gives as many 9/10s than Nintendolife.

The customer service of Nintendo of Europe is disgusting. I wouldn't be surprised if they are also treated badly which leads to bad customer service. For a company all about family and fun, this does not paint a good picture for them. The billions they make, they can more than afford great working conditions for their employees.

@rjejr Sorry but I can't interact with that level of absurdity anymore. All games have an estimated development window; however, art gets delayed often so the artists vision can be met. It was a tentative release windows given, not a date. There were no lies. Sorry for being so abrupt but really you need to get over it. Art gets delayed often. Very often. No one was lied to. The tentative date changed

@rjejr Of course we knew. We had an extensive selection of excellent gaming magazines reporting the information. We used to know about games years in advance. Nearly every N64 game made by Rare was delayed several times too. They give tentative release windows and often, when a great developer is wanting to make a great game, a game is delayed to make it better/iron out bugs. Elden Ring was delayed too as it was supposed to be a Christmas release, as was Horizon 2. Gran Turismo 7 was delayed by over a year from its initial release window.

It is probably because of people like you complaining, that Nintendo/Sony rarely share information until close to the release date for most of their games now. BotW 2 is going to be a massive game. Massive! It has complex level designs/puzzles/almost bug free. It is far more complex to develop a puzzle and clever level design than a 1st person shooter or Assassin's Creed for example. It not only has the main map, but now goes to the sky, and judging by previous footage, possibly underground too. It is the largest game in scope Nintendo has ever made.

You really know nothing about game design, and it seems gaming in general if you are not aware about changes to release dates and delays of all the biggest games. However, almost all of the best games have been delayed. 1 delay is nothing. Do you want Nintendo to release a broken game like Asassin's Creed Unity was?

@rjejr But they never even gave a date. They gave a tentative release window, and they have now delayed it slightly to make a finished game. Ocarina of Time was delayed about 5 times and look how that turned out. It is still the highest rated video game of sll time.

@rjejr Oh dear. Are you being serious? They never lied. They planned to release it this year; however, they were unable to in the time frame they set out. In one comment you have made it abundantly clear that you do mot have a clue about game development.

@rjejr Well considering half of the best games of all time lists contain mostly their games, I would rather wait for an amazing rather than a rushed substandard one.

@rjejr The excellent Nintendo level and puzzle designs take much more time to create than just an open World with the same repetitive things like Skyrim, Assassin's Creed etc. They take a lot of planning and design development. Also the sheer size of the game and to be released pretty much bug free like the 1st BotW is a huge amount of work too.

I am sure they have learned a lot and listened to the criticisms of the 1st game e.g. Divine Beasts to few and too short, and will improve upon this greatly.

Wow! Such a nice story. It is the best game of the past 20 years. Well done!

Elden Ring and nothing else. Not since BotW has exploration been so rewarding.

What happened to SNES snd NES games? Are they getting any third party support? It seems to be only 1st party games that are being released.

This is nice, but what happened to SNES and NES games?

I am looking forward to the courses from Mario Kart Tour being added. I don't play mobile games so I have no experience with these tracks whatsoever. It would be nice if tracks from the Marko Kart arcade games could be added also.

As long as Pokemon have their abilities again, and there are online battles, I will be happy.

@Dr_Lugae There are many great games apart from Mario Kart. Many games don't sell as well now. Animal Crossing sales dropped, Xenoblade 2, Astral Chain, Paper Mario, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Yoshi Crafted World, Mario Odyssey, Pokemon Let's Go etc. They could all do with a price reduction. Also a price reduction of Mario Kart would devi items creat an increase in sales of the Online Expansion pack. 5 years in and some almost 10 year old games. 2 newer far more powerful consoles with some very strong exclusive games on the way..... I think it would be a great time to permenantly reduce prices of games on the ageing hardware.

How about they permenantly reduce the prices of their Evergreen titles, under the Player's Choice/Nintendo Selects labels? This will surely increase sales of older titles and it really is about time now. New games and new IP would be excellent.

I want to like these games, but I just don't get them. I feel like I am missing out on something.

Sony, in comparison to Nintendo, also has amazing sales on PSN. Nintendo first party games never go any lower than a 33% discount.

I hope for the Switch successor, Nintendo understands the potential of its online services.

I think Nintendo have covered the cost of the game. I love Metroid however it does not have the same appeal as its other 1st party games. For example, it it does not have the same cross-gender appeal as Mario, Zelda and Animal Crossing.

It is also the definition of a hard-core game as it is challenging. For the type of game it is, (2D action/adventure), that those sales numbers are pretty decent.

@sanderev It doesn't matter that Sega has not been the best in recent years. They have a tonne of dormant franchises that are worth a lot, that would benefit from the Nintendo development magic.

This is awful for the industry. I would be happy if Nintendo just opened more of their own new studios.

I absolutely loved the Divine Beasts. The visual spectacle of them was incredible, particularly the fire one when it was moving. I found it exhilarating. I also felt they contained better puzzles than the stupidly easy ones found in Wind Waker and Twilight Princess. I like to have some head scratching puzzles in the games. The Divine Beast format on an even grander scale I would be happy with, but I would also of course love challenging dungeons OoT and MM style.

@sanderev The next console has to be backwards compatible, and all moving forward, especially if we are moving to an all digital future.

The spirit of 16 bit adventures has already been resurrected, many, many, many times by the indie scene.

If Nintendo actually shared some information about the game, then this would not be necessary.

Never has there been such a blatant rip off! If it's a good one I would still play it.

Do we just not get any NES, SNES or Megadrive games anymore? What a waste of money. I will be reducing my subscription next year.

I have never been a huge Kirby fan, but I am looking forward to this game. It is always exciting when Nintendo transition one of their 2D games to 3D. Don't know if it will do for Kirby what OoT, Mario 64 and Metroid Prime did for their respective fanchises, but I can hope!

Mario Kart 8 still sells exceptionally well. It was No 1 in the UK all format charts this Xmas. That is insane after all these years. I am not sure Nintendo are in a huge rush to release the next one.

@nitrolink A game with the scope, size, puzzles etc of Zelda are not as easy to develop and take time. I played Breath of the Wild on release as well and did not encounter a single bug. They will be perfecting it I am sure.
