Not really newsworthy that a hsme with these kinds of graphics runs at 120fps

I hope this is just the start of the game and he gets killed by some gruesome alien so I can go solo. 7 years in the making and apparentky the most expensive game Nintendo has made. This game should be Nintendo's magnum opus. Nintendo should not do NPCs in a Metroid game unless the can have some Sony first party quality script writing.

This is the largest file size of any Nintendo game ever, and apparently the most expensive they have ever made and they are doing nothing to build hype

@Willo567 This game has been super cheap to make. A budget of 13 million. It's only just out and the DLC is coming already.

This was held back as paid content. There is literally no doubt about that.

@Willo567 Defensive much? In the past Nibtendo stated these kinds of practices were agaibst their ethos, but now sadly this is no longer the case.

So it was already finished and omitted from the main game. Most mainline zpokemon games are now without any worthwhile postgame content.

I wished they would get rid of all the other characters. Metroud is at its best when it is a lonely Samus vs the Planet, and the story is told via the graphics and setting only.

I want a 1st party game made for switch 2 from the ground up. This is supposed to be as powerful as PS4 Pro which was producing hanes like The Last of Us 2 and God of War.

How is this only running at 30fps on Switch 2 at 4K? Is the consolevreally that underpowered?

How an earth can a game like animal crossing still only run at 30fps at 4k, when Metroid Prime 4 will do 60fps at 4k?

Each game is multi million selling. The budget should reflect this. The Pokemon should have voice-overs like they do in the anime and there shoukd be fulll voice acting.

With regards to the pokemon, once they have copied snd pasted the voicevers from the anime, they would not need to do this again.

I feel Nintendo are just taking the piss now. We have a machine as poweful as a PS4 Pro in your hand and there is yet to be 1st party game which shows of the capabilities of the system.

A very sad day for Rare, and the end of an era. We all knew they would ne er be a good fit for Microsoft. We only dream of the golden age of gaming when Rare were at the top. I can't help feel Microsoft are going to close the studio. Hopefully they will at least sell the franchises too.

No upgrade path if you bought it on Switch but have on Switch 2

The year has not finished yet. Metroid is still to come.

It's not great that these types of games can't run at 60fps on Switch 2. Pac Man World 2 can't even do 4k at 60fps and that gane is pretty basic graphically even by ps4 standards. I hope this is just early teething problems. This has not been a great console launch for Nintendo.

Why do I feel it doesn't even look as good as Orta from the OG X-Box? I really hope that one is next as it was fantastic.

It all looks basic and barren in this remake.

@sixrings Metroid prime 4 does 4k 60fos or 1080p 120fps. Surely it is powerful enough for a remastered a ps2 game

The customer service has been abysmal in Europe for years. Nintendo are not the family friendly company anymore. They are a greedy corporation who are abusing their current popularity. They should know better than most how fragile that popularity can be.

For me Gen V was the best. I love a lot of the designs. The Pokemon were finally animated in battle too. I personally think Black and White are the only Pokemon games that have a good story. The other games had awful stories and you just play them to collect and then battle the Mon. Black and White's story was moralistic and quite thought provoking and by far N was the best villain of any game. Some Pokemon not used competitively got hidden abilities which made them usable. The legenderies were great too and some of the Pokemon have cool menacing designs such as Kyurem, Zekrom, Conkeldurr, Genesect and the Therian forms of the flying legenderies. I loved how these games had post gane content and so many new legenderies and event mon to catch. I really hope they do the quality remake there games deserve, and not the abysmal cheaply made cash grab of the DP remake. The story is not suited to those awful graphics.

The Nintendo ethos has changed for the worst. Very saddened by them.

We literally know nothing. There could be an enormous interconnected section underground. This game has been in development for 7 years. Surely it's going to be something special. Mind you TotK for me is the worst Zelda ever.

I played the Virtual.Boy for 10 mins at the Nintendo Museum. It was a horrific experience that left me sick and with a headache. Unless they have fixed the side effects I will not be buying into this. These games would hace been a fir for the 3DS

Did Microsoft not own the rights to Burnout? They bought Criterion and then of course closed the studio?

I dint know ow who has the rights for Turok or Extreme G. I quite liked Aggressive Inline.

I was let down by Donkey Kong Bananza. The DK games are known for their challenge and it was too easy. It was not as funny to explore as Mario Odyssey or anywhere near as varied. The ending was great and the postage better but more of that was needed in the main game. The best games on the system were the bid hitters on Switch and an indie game.

So only 1080p in docked..... So much for the 4k system we thought we bought

Meanwhile in Europe we have had nothing new ir decent in a very long time

@Pillowpants It was released in Europe and is a great little game. It even has a lot of Metroidvania elements.

No doubt another influx of farming simulators are coming too. The Indie scene formed is also getting stale now.

Did I not see Legends Arceus or did I scroll past it?

It does not feel like a next generation Switch yet. With it having a bot more power than PS4 Pro, I want to see games as graphically great as The Last of Us 2 looked on PS4 Pro.

Link has historically been a child or a teenager. Some people were commenting about it being a British cast on other sites.... British accents are far better suited to fantasy movies than American. This has always been the case.

Do we think Nintendo will add upgrades to other OG Switch games?

Piking 3, Xenoblade ganes, Bayonetta 3, Astral Chain, Mario Kart 8, Pokemon Swird and Shiekld, Arceus Legends, Metroid Dread etc could all do with a nice free upgrade.

I am disappointed with the rumble tbh. I am playing BotW and barely feel a thing. It us not rumbling when you feel it should be

A real missed opportunity. It shoukd have had more unlockables tied to it and a map which details all that's been collected. Without that map it is a chore.

The rumble is really bad in Pro Controller 2
