I really love how it looks on my 4K OLED at 4k 60fps. It was jarring at first how smooth it is. However I have not tried it in handheld. Nintendo really are all about minimum effort and maximum profit at the moment. The parent company has still kt released a single game to show off the power of the cobsole, which is unheard of, and are leaving it to 3rd parties to do so.

How could you miss SNES from the list!!

I literally just started playing this again after getting inpatient waiting on the upgrade (that was already there apparently) I am very happy about this as this game is phenomenal. I hope to get 1st impressions soon.

This is great news. I would so love a Switch 2 update for the Ori games also.

Symphony of the Night on Switch!!

European Nintendo fans really draw the shorts straw when it comes to items from My Nintendo Rewards. It has been like that since the beginning.

@cedarhyped It is opinion buddy. I preferred the first. There were some very bad design decisions in the 2nd game in places in my opinion.

@Novuscourvous The open ended puzzles were insanely easy, especially after the expertly crafted developer led puzzles of BotW. The dungeons were the worst designed ever on Zelda history too in my opinion. The Depths were so boring and such a chore to explore.

Minimal effort again.

Please nothing as basic for the next mainline Zelda. A different graphical style would be nice too. TotK in all it's ideas became bloated and very, very, very easy. And these Mushou games are super simplistic in design

The Switch 2 is similar in power to PS4 Pro. Games like The Last of us 2, Horizon and God of War 2 looked phenomenal. Zelda is the Nintendo flagship title that really needs to be the 1st party game showing what Nintendo can do with the extra power of their machine, rather than leaving it to 3rd parties to do that.

Phantom Ganon should have been at the top imo. In it's day there had never been anything like. The transition from childhood to adulthood also brought in a different atmosphere and this boss at the end of the most incredible 1st dungeon after the transition was epic.

Also Majora's Mask was an epic fight and I think very atmospheric.

Fans have already translated these games on emulation so there is no reason why Konami can't. The minimal amount of work it woukd take. This is such a shame.

Switch 2 releases of all 4 other games please

Wow! Such a system seller for Nintendo's powrful new hardware. This is such a poor first party launch for a system Nintendo. You are going to need to give people sonething more to Justify the high cost of Switch 2

Super Mario Bros Wonder would have been fine with a free upgrade and aid DLC. It is hardly an upgrade pushing the hardware

Nintendo needs games. Metroid Prime 4 was a mis step and not the 7 years in development game. The OG Switch had BotW and for Christmas had Mario Odyssey. There has been nothing new of quite the same quality for Switch 2. It seems like Switch 2 games have been an afterthought for Nintendo.

@Misima I played it for 10 minutes at the Nintendo Museum in Japan and felt physically sick. It really was not a great system. It was not comfortable to wear and that red screen really did affect people's vision and cause headaches.

Why are Nintendo taking away such incentives? They are making more than enough money.

Platform exclusives also creat competition. With no competition, publishers can get lazy and there is no trying to make the next best game.

I am sure if it was the revolutionary 7 year in development game it should have been then it would have done better.

Not really newsworthy that a hsme with these kinds of graphics runs at 120fps

I hope this is just the start of the game and he gets killed by some gruesome alien so I can go solo. 7 years in the making and apparentky the most expensive game Nintendo has made. This game should be Nintendo's magnum opus. Nintendo should not do NPCs in a Metroid game unless the can have some Sony first party quality script writing.

This is the largest file size of any Nintendo game ever, and apparently the most expensive they have ever made and they are doing nothing to build hype

@Willo567 This game has been super cheap to make. A budget of 13 million. It's only just out and the DLC is coming already.

This was held back as paid content. There is literally no doubt about that.

@Willo567 Defensive much? In the past Nibtendo stated these kinds of practices were agaibst their ethos, but now sadly this is no longer the case.

So it was already finished and omitted from the main game. Most mainline zpokemon games are now without any worthwhile postgame content.

I wished they would get rid of all the other characters. Metroud is at its best when it is a lonely Samus vs the Planet, and the story is told via the graphics and setting only.

I want a 1st party game made for switch 2 from the ground up. This is supposed to be as powerful as PS4 Pro which was producing hanes like The Last of Us 2 and God of War.

How is this only running at 30fps on Switch 2 at 4K? Is the consolevreally that underpowered?

How an earth can a game like animal crossing still only run at 30fps at 4k, when Metroid Prime 4 will do 60fps at 4k?

Each game is multi million selling. The budget should reflect this. The Pokemon should have voice-overs like they do in the anime and there shoukd be fulll voice acting.

With regards to the pokemon, once they have copied snd pasted the voicevers from the anime, they would not need to do this again.

I feel Nintendo are just taking the piss now. We have a machine as poweful as a PS4 Pro in your hand and there is yet to be 1st party game which shows of the capabilities of the system.

A very sad day for Rare, and the end of an era. We all knew they would ne er be a good fit for Microsoft. We only dream of the golden age of gaming when Rare were at the top. I can't help feel Microsoft are going to close the studio. Hopefully they will at least sell the franchises too.

No upgrade path if you bought it on Switch but have on Switch 2

I just can't cope anymore. My masculinity has been severely broken and Nintendo has made me gay and turned me trans and I just bought a chihuahua and called it Prince Fluff.

It's not great that these types of games can't run at 60fps on Switch 2. Pac Man World 2 can't even do 4k at 60fps and that gane is pretty basic graphically even by ps4 standards. I hope this is just early teething problems. This has not been a great console launch for Nintendo.

Why do I feel it doesn't even look as good as Orta from the OG X-Box? I really hope that one is next as it was fantastic.

It all looks basic and barren in this remake.

@sixrings Metroid prime 4 does 4k 60fos or 1080p 120fps. Surely it is powerful enough for a remastered a ps2 game

The customer service has been abysmal in Europe for years. Nintendo are not the family friendly company anymore. They are a greedy corporation who are abusing their current popularity. They should know better than most how fragile that popularity can be.

For me Gen V was the best. I love a lot of the designs. The Pokemon were finally animated in battle too. I personally think Black and White are the only Pokemon games that have a good story. The other games had awful stories and you just play them to collect and then battle the Mon. Black and White's story was moralistic and quite thought provoking and by far N was the best villain of any game. Some Pokemon not used competitively got hidden abilities which made them usable. The legenderies were great too and some of the Pokemon have cool menacing designs such as Kyurem, Zekrom, Conkeldurr, Genesect and the Therian forms of the flying legenderies. I loved how these games had post gane content and so many new legenderies and event mon to catch. I really hope they do the quality remake there games deserve, and not the abysmal cheaply made cash grab of the DP remake. The story is not suited to those awful graphics.

The Nintendo ethos has changed for the worst. Very saddened by them.

We literally know nothing. There could be an enormous interconnected section underground. This game has been in development for 7 years. Surely it's going to be something special. Mind you TotK for me is the worst Zelda ever.
