@Bydlak I hear you. They should be made available of course. I just personally do not find much enjoyment in them anymore. I still love the best 16 bit games like the day they were released, but the majority of these older computer based games I cant find the enjoyment in anymore, as much as I would love to.

However they are an important part of gaming history, and people should have access to them.

Sadly the games from these computers have not aged well at all. I enjoyed playing Myth, Flimbo's Quest, Rainbow Islands and New Zealand storybas a kid, but they are not so much fun now.

For me it was Windwaker for being insultingly easy and repetitive, as beautiful as it was with an epic soundtrack. It should be on this list too.

I hate this. This means more low budget barebones Pokemon games.

Does this mean we will get more Pokemon games and remakes in this cheap and horrific art style?

The first game started off well, but turned out to be more Banjo Tooie than Banjo Kazooie in the end I.e. a bit of a boring collectathon without the clever puzzles and rewards. For the sequel I would like some tighter and consistent puzzle-platforming design, with better camera and controls. I like a collectathon, but you need lot of secrets and clever designs to make it feel worthwhile. It really could have been brilliant but there were some poor design choices. Fingers crossed they do a better job this time.

It makes sense for it to be exclurive if it will help them shift consoles.

Button mapping would be handy, as well as improved input lag. As it's emulated, some enhanced graphic options and 60fps would be great.

If games are to be released for it monthly ( there are 4 consoles now it shouldn't be hard), then it could be more worth it. If we are to be drip fed like we are currently, then it is not worth that amount

The GTAV controls would be very welcome. I gave up on 3 and Vice City as when a mission involved getting out of the car, you would often just get shot and killed from no fault of your own. Those controls will vastly improve those games.

I am hoping for some more obscure games like Rocket: Robot on Wheels, Beetle Adventure Racing, Forsaken, and a few of the other Acclaim games which were prolific on N64 such as Extreme G, South Park, Iggy's Reckin Balls, Bust a Move etc.

As they are emulated games, I want to see 60fps. There is no reason why they should not be.

@CharlieGirl We won't be playing games online with our American and Japanese friends if ours are 50hz and theirs are 60hz. There is a 20% speed difference

@RadioShadow I believe you lose your Gold Points if you do that though.

We are living in days in which N64 games can be emulated on PC at 60fps in 4k. There is no excuse as to why 60fps should not be the case on Switch either for N64 emulation. I will be very disappointed if 50hz is the standard for N64 games in Europe, and does this affect us playing online with those on other continents.

Do you think the N64 games will be improved via emulation in anyway, such as 60fps gameplay? I would be disappointed they are not as all modern emulators improve franwrate and resolution.

The Direct was one of the best for sure.

With BK being allowed on Switch online, this would mean that other Rare games may potentially come to the system. This is also means the the Big N and MS/Rare could work together on the Goldeneye licensing issue....

Why did she have so much clothes on lol? Her silly hypersexualization I found hilarious. In 1 and 2 she was incredibly camp and cheesy and her hyersexualization was hilariously ridiculous. It was a weird juxtaposition as on one hand you had the best 3rd person action/beat em up gameplay, alongside the utter ridiculousness of her character and those funny close up shots mid battle. I hope they are not going fr a PG rating!

When you Google this game, there seems to be a lot of hate towards it and how it looks. I think it is looking pretty awesome, and finally a true budget upgrade for the franchise.

If I am tbh, I hate the oversaturation of the game market with Indie games.

It is like a "Netflix effect", in that we are oversaturated with TV shows its hard to find one to like or get excited snout over anymore.

I thoroughly enjoyed Darksiders 3 and its Souls-like gameplay. 2 is still the highlight of the series so far though.

A Zelda game outselling a mainline Pokemon and Mario game! Long may these numbers keep up!

Capcom have always made brilliant games, with a few blunders here and there. They deserve the success.

I am not sure how I feel about this. Because of streaming services, we are absolutely saturated with repetitive TV shows. I find it impossible to get excited for new TV shows anymore . If we have gaming on demand like this, games will be churned out to increase subscriptions.

I already find it hard to get excited about new games like I used to, due to less new ideas for franchise updates or not so much new franchises, as well as the bastardisation of the indie scene. Having an over saturated streaming service will make things even worse.

I hope I am wrong.

Metroidvania is the biggest buzzword of the indie scene and has been for some time now. I hope the popularity in that format really helps the sales of this game. Hollow Knight sold over 3 million copies so I am in no doubt it will the best selling Metroid game of all time. I just Hope it is not dumbed down for the masses.

And that is the thing with Metroid: due to the Sci-fi setting, and the action, and does not have the same mass market appeal e.g. it does not appeal as much to (but of course to some) female and casual gamers. But there are more core gamers on Switch than there was on consoles like Wii, so I am expecting higher sales for sure.

@aaronsullivan I would not worry about it still look painterly. As well as playing it on Wii, I played it a 2nd time in 4k via te Dolphin emulator and the painterly effect was even more gorgeous.

I think it is funny the first commentor refers to the game as having "stolen" game mechanics, when "Metroidvania" is probably the most bandied around term in videogaming.

I have a Majora's Mask jigsaw puzzle which was only available to Japanese Club Nintendo members. I have it framed and just above my breakfast bar. They are rare and a Japanese Couch surfing guest gave it to me.

@bozz Really it is a lovely, lovely, lovely game. The only bad thing is that the poor companion AI made it impossible to play on the harder difficulties. I loved playing it on PS4 Pro, and the protagonist was the exact opposite of the Trump's and Bolsenaro's of the World. It had a nice message. The story was very like a Dragon Quest game in that each Town had its own self contained story. It comes with a very high recommendation from me.
