Even if I have to wait for probably 2 more years: Heroes of Might and Magic 8 please. Pretty much the last IP from UBI I'm interested in - since they broke Mario & Rabbids: Kingdom Battle formula with it's successor.

Nintendo doesn't even care to tell me which personal data the App wants to suck out of my mobile/google accout. So this App is a big no-go for me.

As if "smoothness" ever was a problem of Switch Controllers. If you ask me - Switch Controllers had exactly 2 problems:
1. 1st and foremost (and obviously): Joy-Con Drift. And, yes, Pro Controllers also where doomed after around 2 years of using them. I own 2 Joy-Cons and 3 Pro Controllers with the issue.
2. D-Pad. Well... while Joy-Cons didn't have one - D-Pad on Pro Controllers where lot too stiff to use them in games that needed them or begged for using them. This got better with newer releases. Day 1 Pro Controller D-Pad was just awful while the D-Pads of the Pro Controllers I had to buy because the old ones had the drift issue where much better. But still no comparison to 8BitDo SN30 pro(+) Controller D-Pad (for example).
Well... I don't wonder much Nintendo doesn't care about the drift issue. They had their "solution" (send them in and they'll get repaired or replaced) which was fine for them. And they earned money from all that double- (triple-, quadruple-) dippers.
And they moved from being different to their customers (in comparison to their competitors) to "normal". They're the 1st calling a price of 80 bucks per game.

I looked at the app in Google Play store:
While on a website you can always decide by yourself if you want to click the bait... this is what the App is doing:

• looking at my calendar
• looking at my browser history
• looking at my personal data (like: name, email adress, telephone number, more,...

So Nintendolife seems a good deal to me compared to the App.
Just saying...

Not a big surprise on my side. That's part of the business model "you get what we want".
That's why I buy physical and that's why I don't pay for Switch Online+.

I can already flip my Switch 1 upside down. But... what for?

For me it's a deal breaker for shure. I mean... I'm still happy with my Switch OLED and I can wait some more years for a Switch 2 (OLED then).
I'd rather buy a 2nd Switch OLED to pass the time until Switch 2 OLED hits the stores then go back and have a hardware that is a step back in time.
I have absolutely no understanding for why people don't rage about a Switch 2 LCD. My only explanation for this is that they've never seen a Switch OLED.
And as for the "Team NL":
No offense but sometimes you should be more like editors and less fanboyz (and girlz). I mean... I love that you're fanboys but a little bit more objectivity would look good on you sometimes.

What's the good about the magnetic system? "Magnetic" sounds a bit sqishy to me. I like the rails...

Well - it's Worms. So: A no-brainer for me.
But - tbh - I don't see a reason for this release with Worms W.M.D. around. The latter seems to be the more "full package" for me. It offers private online lobby and more costomization options for random maps.
So I bought it, but there's a big WHY. The only thing is the timeline - which is nice but a little rudimentary for my taste.

It's Star Trek. It seems to have a collection factor with all the characters. It's Turn Based Tactics. It costs 12 bucks.
What's not to like? No-brainer for me.
Well. My expectations are not very high. But I'll give it a shot and maybe I'll be surprised in a positive way.

Waited so long for this. And all I got was another Roguelike. I'm pretty disappointed.

People who get upset with things like that have a problem. But it has nothing to do with gaming or censorship.

No wonder - with OLED to LCD downgraded Switch 2 incoming.

Now I just have to learn what "MX-style switches" mean and if my keyboard uses them.

@Bobobiwan Absolutely serious: I'd rather buy a 2nd (ehmmm... ok... it would be my 3rd ) Switch 1 to pass the time until Switch 2 OLED then buy a Switch 2 with LCD.

I'm really willing to pay 500€ for Switch 2. But there are exactly two preconditions:
1. It has to be backward compatible.
2. It has to have an OLED Screen.
I'm really worried about the 2nd point in particular. Even being a day-one-buyer of Nintendo products since 20 years or so getting no OLED with Switch 2 would hard stop me from buying it. Switch (1) is still good enough for me and my pile of shame on Switch 1 is big enough so I can wait for a Switch 2 with OLED for 3 more years (or 4,...).
It's really up to Nintendo. No room for discussion on this point.

Final Fantasy Tactics. Heroes of Might and Magic 8 (Which will not be ready when Switch 2 comes out - I know.).

How can GTA and Switch 2 "collide"? I mean... as if Nintendo would care about a GTA release date. If you ask me: They don't care at all about this.
It's like Marshall is holding back the release of a new Amp because AC/DC is touring at the same time.

From a marketing perspective it wouldn't be very wise to only think of SteamWorld fans. The right question would be:
"Is Heist what Turn Based Tactical fans want right now?"
And - from my perspective - the different approach away from grid based maps to some metroidvania style maps is very welcome. We have hundreds of grid based TBT games, but only Heist 1 (so far) that gives some Worms feelings (but without time pressure and with specialized team members).
(If there are more of these: Tell me. I'm willing to buy! Well, I know there IS Worms. )
So: This game is super welcome!!!

Tbh - I don't know if he's guilty or not. From all I know is that the video that allegedly "proved" him guilty was deleted by the persons that claim him to be.
Calling him guilty might fit in the modern times where the person that's loudest on X automatically is proved to be right by the lemmings. God bless I'm old!

One reason for Engage's sales might be because Three Houses was a big fail focusing on the "social aspects". If you ask me Three Houses has more of a Kindergarden Sim while Engage is what a TBS game should be.
But if they don't want to continue Fire Emlem TBS there might be a chance we'll see another Final Fantasy Tactics, right?

The thing that really concerns me is if the new Switch is really getting no OLED. But nobody's talking about as if this would be acceptable.

I don't think they'll fix JoyCon Drift. They sell defective Hardware since years. They didn't fix it in the past and there's no reason for them fixing it in the future. Because... they can.
Really: I'm a Nintendo Fanboy. But this topic let me rage every time I think of it.

Three Houses for me was more of a kindergarden sim then a tactics game. Devs totally lost focus of what this game should have been.
Engage brought back the series to where it belongs. Fortunately.

Video only? Hard pass.

The past Mario vs. DK titles where fantastic. I hoped for a sequel and not a remake. And the announced full price rather let's me re-activate my GBA then buying this one.
Really a bummer for me. Not a big problem playing the game a third (sic!) time. But the price tag is just too much.

I really don't like the relatively new attitude of the NL Team writing "articles" like this that are just a clickbaits for YT-Videos.
In the past there was - at least - a short summary of the more lengthy correspondending video. Now there's just... nothing (but a link).

@Magician ...and you didn't even mention the best games of the genre on Switch.

For me it looked like a super-promising take on the Tactical RPG genre. And then you realize that 2 thirds of the screen are unsharp - like in Octopath Traveller and Triangle Stretegy.
So it's a hard pass for me. And I'm saying this as a hardcore Tactical Games nerd.
There are enough games in this genre that give me crisp graphics. I can live with passing some of the games out there.

A new one instead of a remake would have been nice, but tbh: The last time I played this game is so long ago... it will be like a new game for me.

While KB is still one of the best Switch games for me - easily having a top 10 spot for me - I regret buying SoH at all.
Fight system is so different - I wouldn't put both games in the same category tbh. The one is Turn Based Tactics. The other... it's just... turn based something (that doesn't work for me).

This game gives me strong "Bomb Chicken"-Vibes. Which is an compliment since Bomb Chicken was great fun to play!

Your post is pretty much the essence of all that has to be said about this topic.
(You forgot 1 point which is pretty much important for me: They cut couch coop - a great game mode in KB and the only reason to start the game again and again after completing the campaign.)
The thread should be closed and the post should be pinned and send to Guillemot as an open letter. Sadly he seems to not have the same analyzing skills then you. Might have helped while developing Sparks of Hope.

You pretty much nail it. Plus (or should I better say "minus" instead?):
They cut Couch Coop completely. This mode was too good to be true in Kingdom Battle and is the reason why I still play KB from time to time with a friend.

I'm pretty sure Sony would swap pretty much every momentum with Nintendo... if they could.

Not a big fan of the updated graphics, but the game is good enough to ignore this. One of the best Puzzle Games on the DS which made me double-dip (PC). Now my third buy.

Blizzard nowadays is like EA: Ignore them and be happy. There are lot of good Publishers out there.
