Just because I'm a bit confused about the people wanting the game as a cartrige:
It's still a trading card game with pack to buy and so on...? Or are all the cards coming with the game?
I don't see a reason for a cartrige for a game that's basically being paid AFTER "installation" and being highly account-bound...
I'm pretty shure Stadia works perfectly in the Google sandbox. In open field it will struggle with things like Pings like some here already stated. As some said: Google is all about Data Mining. I see this project as a big beta test for Google. It's about a) testing the acceptance in the gaming community b) mining data of the internet structure worldwide (not only in terms of speed but also in terms of stability and reliability) c) testing business models like the one-click-away from the gaming influencers (streamers) Things like that. It's NOT about gaming - it's about data mining (at this point at least). They're not stupid. They know that today the internet infrastructure isn't ready. They arm for the future - it will be at some day. And they have the time and the money to invest to be prepared for this day. To be ahead of their competitors. And even then they make their money with data mining. The gamers world is the frame around it. You can earn a lot more money with data/advertising then with games. And nobody is better in it then Google.
Bomb Chicken is a great game - no doubt. I had a great time with it but I will not double dip. For everyone who hasn't played the game until now and likes retail releases this is a good offer - while me, personally, think the Limited Run games are a little overpriced.
Looks promising but another Roguelike/-lite (who knows at this point)? So I'm out. Aren't publishers able to offer a full experience game anymore? I feel like 2 of 3 games have this "rogue" in the description. So Sad.
The article is an interesting read. Nevertheless it's completely from a gamers point of view. We, as gamers, have no downside. Of course that kind of a deal would be a great benefit for Microsoft, but as I mentioned in a commentary in the past, I don't see why Nintendo should do this. What interest should Nintendo have in helping Microsoft spreading their software to an audience where they (MS) failed in the past? I don't get it from the economic point of view. And this article doesn't help me because it's focused on the benefits for MS and the gamers.
Most probably I'm just stupid but I don't see the benefit for Nintendo here. Don't they want to sell their own software? Second: I'm all against streaming. More the Retail-Version-Buyer kind of guy. Gosh I'm getting old.
I hate this trailers without any gameplay in it because they just steal my time and give no information about the game.
But ok, maybe I just should know more about the game more then I already do.
@oninowon As I said: When I'm home I play docked only, when I'm on the go there's no Internet. So I think I'll pass this one. This does not make the game a bad one! And no - it wouldn't be my first CCG. I played Duelyst for a long time and Might and Magic: Duel of Champions a long time ago.
I wouldn't hesitate hacking my console if I would be able to do savegame backups on SD card or wherever. I had problems with a corrupt save in the past and the online backup didn't help in any way. The only reason I don't hack my switch is because I don't want to be banned. I'm talking of savegame backups - not the so called "software backups" which I don't tolerate in any way.
I love deck building based card games, I love turn based combat system and I really like Heist, so... I don't think I'm doing wrong buying this game. Day 1 for me.
That's an easy one for me: Wargroove And while it seems to be a dead loss I'm still hoping for a Final Fantasy Tactics. I always liked it more then the Fire Emblem franchise and even more since Fire Emblem to me seems like they're milking a cow with all the overpriced DLCs.
Not owning a credit card at the moment (comments about this fact are needless! ) I'd love the possibility to order them in Germany paying them via PayPal!!!
Thanx for your tip. I never ever played games on my mobile (for playing mobile Nintento has a lot of nice consoles I can chose from ) so I'm not really familiar playing on touch screen. Might be I was a bit overhasty not giving the game a chance. Maybe I'll try it again. On the other side it's as I said: I'm playing in docked most of the time and if not I normally have no Internet connection.
As a former Duelyst player I was keen if I'll like the game. I've never heard from it before and installed it day one.
Then I realized there's no docked support which - for me - is kind of a disaster (because I'm playing docked about 80% of my playing time). Then I tried it in handheld mode. But the texts of the cards are nearly unreadable. I want to have fun and not an eye test.
Uninstalled it after about 45 minutes.
I think I'll give it a second chance when docked mode will be available. If not... I'll pass this one and hope for another CCG.
No couch coop (on ONE console) no buy. For me this is the most important playing mode of a TBS game - and Civ, traditionally, does not support this mode.
I have this on my Wishlist but I wait for a discount.
I have time to wait and still have hope for a new Meteos anyway - which I would prefer.
I do not doubt Lumines is a great game but Meteos was a blast!
Mario Vs. Donkey Kong would be a wet dream for the switch.
But the "you have to have Amiibos to get a full game"-appeal of the last incarnation left a sour taste.
I'm playing Victor Vran currently and I love it. I know of Diablo over the last decades but never played it. A friend of mine played both VV and D3 and told me that I'll be disappointed when playing D3 because he thinks VV is - while not so polished - better in many ways. Long story short: I'll buy D3, maybe not day one but I'll give it a try. And I'm curious which game I like more. D3 has more hype, is more polished - no question about this. But is it the better game? VV is great - D3 will have a hard time to beat it, that's for shure.
I know the series but never played Diablo.
I know the hype is much bigger but I'm curious if it can beat Victor Vran which is great imho. (And the Overkill Edition has the best soundtrack a video game ever had!)
I like the idea of the game and the atmosphere in it. But when it comes to fights it's too hard for me with no difficulty level to chose. If you read the steam board players just say "git gud". I tried but after 10 hours of playing I gave up. If the patch gives me an easy mode I'll dive in again and buy the DLC also. If not... I have to accept that it's too hard for me.
So the one person in the world who doesn't like Zelda and Mario on Switch and the console itself is found. Who cares. There are other consoles he can be happy with.
We really need a new FFT. I'd be fully satisfied with a Remake of FFTA (my all time turn based tactical game ever!), it doesn't have to be completely new.
"Up to 4 players can cooperate or compete for supremacy via a wireless LAN." Wait... so no couch Coop? This would be a big disappointment! For me this makes the difference between a day-1-buy and thinking about buying it or not.

@Bliquid
My question wasn't meant this way. I'm one of those people buying retail whenever I can.
Re: Video: Take A Peek At Some Brand New SteamWorld Quest Battle Gameplay
The battle system really looks different from what I expected and seems to have a fresh approach.
I'm absolutely hyped about this game. Day one buy.

I'll give Hard West a chance. I played it about three hours now. Controlls are a bit clunky but so far it's worth.
