So far the lack of voice acting is my biggest complaint. Since I’m not totally convinced that it’s a great game in itself, voice acting would have helped immensely with the story telling. Heck, even Marvelous nailed the voice acting in SOS: Grand Bazaar. Japanese and English voice acting should be standard in Pokémon games going forward in my opinion.

Even before playing it, it feels a bit weird for the game to be confined to Lumiose city tbh. Why not even some outskirts areas? These review scores at least gives me at some hope for the game.

This review confirmed my fears. The hype dropped significantly. I hope I won't feel the same way as the reviewer after giving it some playtime.

For me it’s at least 6 games this year that I can remember from the top of my head. 4 physical Switch 2 titles and 2 eshop titles. Just bought a Switch game too, so… so far I’m in the non-existant category of more than five, less than ten.

I really like this game. Probably one of the best SoS games to date, but I haven’t played Guardians of Azuma yet. But it’s a real time sink. Soon to finish first autumn and have already played 50 hours. Really happy to see the developers’ countinued support for the game with new features and fixes.

Have them both, but haven’t’ played either of them yet. Looking forward to it.

I aim to skip Game Key Cards completely since it’s probably the only real way of showing that many of us despise them, but then again I would probably have skipped this game anyway. If I buy it at all it will probably be a discounted digital download in a few years.

Will get this for Switch 2 later, if there’s a physical version. Considered importing the Switch version but ultimately decided against it at this time.

There may be some updates about the restructured trading feature in PTCG Pocket as well.

The trailer just got me thinking that life’s too short to not be picky about which games to play… not interested.

I wonder how many parents will buy Switch 2 games for their kids with the regular Switch thinking the symbol on the top just shows the number of players. Some things should have been reinvented design wise…

Considered preordering a Japanese copy of Fantasy Life I, but decided against it. Will wait for the Switch 2 Edition. Would probably have preordered the Asia version with English cover but can’t find it anymore.

I’m feeling the pull towards something new but I have to refuse the urge to abandon my Pokédex completion in Pokémon Crystal for 3DS VC. Getting the Mewtwo from Yellow will probably be the last one, but I still have to grind some for Dragonite and Tyranitar.

Will be interesting to see if they manage to salvage this title from apparent mediocrity…

This is a letdown. I really want to play this game but I refuse to ”borrow” a digital copy for full price. Will have to import this if there won’t be a western physical release. It’s almost as if I hope that the reviews are bad so I don’t have to go through all the hassle.

There’s no denying it’s a good game, but having played the Wii and 3DS version I don’t feel like going back to it. It must take some effort to remaster a game like this, so why not bother making something new out of it?

@Kiz3000 This is exactly how I feel. I’ve tried some of the top tier decks and sometimes I just have to give up due to bad luck. The amount of real strategy is very limited. I like the cards and I see the game having some appeal but just opening 2 packs per day and mostly getting the same old stuff quickly gets old. They have to add more progression to the game to keep it interesting.

@SmaggTheSmug There’s a difference between plagiarism and homage. The only noticeable difference here is a unit that shoves the opposing unit. Otherwise it looks almost exactly AW. Developing a game for a genre isn’t a problem, Quake and Halo is more like Advance Wars and Fire Emblem - too distinct that none would fail to see that they’re separate distinguishable games. In this case they’re not even putting on a new coat of paint.

I see no difference between this game and the actual Advance Wars. This is not okay. It’s like selling a Pokémon ROM hack.

It’s not likely to increase traffic on the site if you keep spoiling like this. It’s very annoying to see these unnewsworthy articles pop-up all the time.

Just checked the top of the list to make certain that Pokémon Conquest was there. Happy and amazed that it was ranked so high.

Firstly, two versions was a fun thing when we had to resort to Link Cables.

Secondly, a third installment always made the previous ones outdated. Very bad market strategy these days, no?

Lastly, wouldn’t they be better off packing the versions in the same game and you just chose one, or randomly got some exclusives/missed mons associated with your save so you had the need to trade for them?

I thought they were getting ready to discontinue Lego Mario after they stopped pumpin’ out new character pack series.

It’s almost as if Legends Z-A is a combined follow-up entry to both Pokémon X and Y as well as Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. The Z is obvious but the A looks a lot like the lambda-sign, y’know like Lambda Emerald or whatever.

Ufouria is one of my favourite games for the NES, so i had to preorder out of pure nostalgia. Don’t really like the looks of the Hebereke characters tough, and for me they’ll always be Bop-Louie, Freeon-Leon, Shades and Gil.

The positive side of games like these is that Pokemon may get actual competition, which in turn means Gamefreak have to put more effort in incentivising people playing Pokemon over these Poke-likes.

The only thing I can relate to is how we’ve all really disliked that type combo since gen 1.

Hit or miss? Definitely a huge miss. Truly a tremendous waste of time. This completely ruins the discovery and puzzle aspect of the game.

I’m amazed this studio is still up and running. Everything looks extremely dull except for the character models. In my opinion Natsume should have given up on farming sims a long time ago. I would much rather have a new Legend of the River King game.

Have bought all the Lego Mario sets thus far, but have only built Mighty Bowser and the ?-block. Too late to quit collecting the rest now I guess…

I think it would be nice if we could be able to explore some of the regions from the spin-offs, like Orre (Colosseum & XD) Fiore, Almia, Oblivia (Pokémon Ranger) or Lental (New Pokémon Snap).

I certainly did not enjoy waiting for this game to arrive in Europe outside of the UK…

I have experienced the game crashing on three occasions, the latest meant loosing and hour of gameplay. I have also had Pokemon textures freezing and appearing malplaced in doorways and in front of Tera raid bosses.

5/10. It’s not really that enticing, and being the ugliest Switch game I’ve played to date makes this something I long to leave behind. Unless they fix it somehow.

I love these features, Kate! I’ve been loving the Harvest Moon series ever since the first game released on the SNES. In 2014 Swedish Video Game Vlog GamingGrannar did a showcase of my Harvest Moon collection on YouTube. That was by the time the series had already started to spiral downwards. After I’ve tried Stardew Valley I ceased collecting the games, since it felt like either Natsume or Marvelous even tried to make the new entries any better. However, it is with great interest I follow the releases of the multitude of Farming Sims in development. But I guess I won’t have the opportunity to dwell deep into these games as I used to, since my IRL farming adventure now has taken off, with both family, farming and animal husbandry in the mix. But I guess I wouldn’t have this kind of life if I hadn’t drawn inspiration from Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons to begin with.

I’m just afraid that the prices for High End drivers, karts and gliders will be so high that you can’t in a reasonable way earn them through normal play, even with a gold pass subscription. 100 Rubies for a Mii Costume is too much, and fire off a pipe for 10 different things cost 45 rubies today, with a chance for multiple High Ends and more common items. They probably keep the random pipe for green coins in tours, I guess.

Isn’t just a not so fancy bike alternative until the respective Legendary is caught?

My favorite is Exeggutor. I love his goofy and ridiculous design. I really love that he got a new form in the Alola region as well. He’s a real underdog, difficult to play due to many weaknesses. I do feel a bit sorry for him, seemingly pulling the shorter straw in the evolutionary lottery. Regardless, he has some strange charm about him which gives him a VIP spot on my team in most games.

Sad that it wasn’t announcement tomorrow, or I could’ve hope for a Pokemon crossover.

Can’t wait for Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon GO Plus+ info…

I’ve got everything from wave 1-4 except that Toads Special Hideaway exclusive. I think it was supposed to be a San Diego Comic Con exclusive but due to the pandemic they were available on the Online Lego Store in the U.S. for a stort time. Now they belong to the scalpers market, goes for at least 5x the original price and near impossible to find a seller in Europe.

This is a must play. As a long time Harvest Moon fan, ranking both Fantasy Life and Stardew Valley as some of my favourite games, this sounds to be right up my alley!

Would’ve loved to try this game, but for some reason the majority of us Europeans never got this. Perhaps due to loot Box regulations or something.

Stardew Valley must be one of the Greats in gaming. I’ve loved it for years and just recently got the board game as well. ConcernedApe has really managed to make a deep game with a cast bolstering massive personality and charm. I own the game on PS4 and Switch and my partner loves it just as much (but sometimes I think she’s more into mining than anything else). With that said, I would’ve guessed that those mildly interested in the genre would’ve tried it by now. No farming som has come close to this one since Marvelous and Natsume split paths.

If it wasn’t too ugly I would’ve loved a new fishing game. Been cravin’ a new Legend of the River King game for years now.

Just looks like a red pill blue pill analogy.

Would not play this even if I got paid for it. What a waste of time.

It irritates me that the watering can is flying around watering plants during a rainy night…
