I used to play Snow Bros on my Gameboy back in the days and can recall that I quite enjoyed it. It seems strange if they made the new version worse than it used to be, but remasters and rewhatevers seem very bland when they stick too close to the originals as well.
But it’s true that the review seems a bit harsh, especially since the reviewers profile says “Hello. I like every videogame.” This seems to be an exception.
For us grown-ups who have been playing the games since the Game Boy days I assume that the lack of difficulty is one of the more problematic issues. I for one liked the idea introduced in B/W where a hard mode could be unlocked which made Gym Leaders have stronger teams etc. I generally like how the developers try different things with the IP but a difficulty option would be a great addition. But I also would like GF to balance the games more so more Pokémon are viable for combat. Update stats or give some older mons new evolutions instead of introducing new ones all the time. That was one of the more interesting aspects of the Sinnoh games to begin with.
If they’re not the ultimate versions of the games, i.e. including everything from its generation and more, I can’t really see what’s so brilliant or shiny about them. I really do hope there’s more than what’s been shown so far…
In Sweden you can also get download codes from Spel & Sånt. Although, if you already got codes from Proshop there’s no need to acquire more codes since you can only redeem one Zacian or Zamazenta in your game through this distribution even if you have multiple unique codes.
The reason I play this game is not because it’s such a deep indulging experience but because I meet a lot of new people and use it as a form of exercise. Walking and biking to different places gives me a more interesting experience than running on a treadmill. So instead of buying a gym card I buy in-game content...
Backed this on Kickstarter but was sad to hear that the developer couldn't promise an EU release. So I don't really know if I ever will get to play this. Could probably settle for the PC or Mac-version...

Re: Pokémon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire to Be Available in an Exclusive Money-Saving Dual Pack
Seems a bit strange that NA can get two copies + bonuses for $80 when retailers like Gamestop sell a single copy for almost $70 in EU.
