I bought the Nintendo Switch on Day 1 because its premise captured my imagination. I'm so thankful that it provided me so many great gaming memories, from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Astral Chain to Moonlighter and Octopath Traveler. I'm especially grateful that it gave me a chance to get into a genre I never thought I'd get into: sRPGs. Some of the best time I had were with Fire Emblem: Three Houses and Triangle Strategy. I very much look forward to Super Nintendo Switch.

My prediction: People crying afterwards about their devastating disappointments.

I breathe a sigh of relief. I’d like to see him in expand his wings to unexpected projects. I know he can do big movies and series with sizable budgets. How about indies? Horror films? Romantic comedy? Something different! I know he can do it; I love and respect him as an actor. This is an opportunity.

I completed my Pokédex this weekend thanks to Wonder Trade and various groups on Facebook! I’m still on the hunt for Gold Bottle Cap and PP Max, though. I hate that these are locked behind raids (one of the rarest drops), auctions, and Ace Tournament (again, rare).

Thus, I feel ZERO guilt taking advantage of the duplication glitch. 🤣🤣🤣

It feels like a stronger game now. Even the matches are more intense. It can only get better from here.

Even the end credits had frame rate issues! I couldn’t believe it.

“Ugly and cheap” — Yikes! But it is. I was playing Violet last night and I was exploring a desert resort. There was a sandstorm, NPCs walking around, and water animation. I could swear to you the frame rate was LESS THAN 10. It was like moving through molasses. 👎👎

@Bizzyb I didn't like that either! But to me it was less annoying because bodies of water are limited. Still, I'm absolutely with you on this one. Again, something so simple that could--and should--have been implemented.

@Diogmites Definitely. I think the ability to jump in order to avoid something or get to a certain place a little faster goes a long way. I find it hard to believe that those working on the game didn't consider adding this very simple mechanic.

Our character cannot swim or jump from the get-go. That's a problem.

This is me being fair: I'm going to give it a 4 or a D+.

It feels incomplete. I cannot give a pass for an incomplete, whether it be a game, a movie, a homework assignment or otherwise.

I think game reviewers were GENEROUS to Scarlet and Violet.

Is there a glitch to get expelled? I just want to get to the next region, next generation.

Legend has it that if you look hard enough, there’s a game hidden among the glitches.

They got rid of optimization, too, so...

@Nico07 Moray Towers is my favorite as well. I love the verticality of it. And how I can sneak through enemy team so easily when no one is paying attention. lol

But will they fix the pesky COMMUNICATION ERROR issues? We’ll see. (Likely not.)

I don't have anything to compare against. But New Horizons will always be memorable for me given the positive vibes it is so effusively provided during the darkest times of the pandemic. I think it's a game of a lifetime. To this day, I check back in once every few months, and it never fails to draw a smile on my face.

Is anyone really surprised given Game Freak's recent history of producing half-assed work? LOL

The trailer is definitely not for an old millennial like me. Too many headache-inducing quick cuts. It was like watching "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen." Killed brain cells.

Yes!!! This new feature is a godsend, and I think it's something that veterans will appreciate very much. I would have changed outfits more often as well had Splatoon 2 offered this.

The presentation failed to hype me up. I don't know; the whole time I was thinking,

"Am I being spoiled right now because of how great Xenoblade Chronicles 3 turned out?"

Even when the presentation repeated OPEN WORLD at least 3 times, I couldn't help but think, "The graphics look awful for a Nintendo Switch game in 2022. The story will lean toward simplistic rather than gripping."

Maybe I'm too old.

I love this game so much. The music, the voice acting, the battle system, the art style—all absolutely terrific. Don’t make me do a “Sophie’s Choice” between “Octopath Traveler” and “Triangle Strategy.” I can’t wait for what’s next.

Very much enjoying Rise (just started about 3 weeks ago) and plan on getting Sunbreak eventually.
