I see a few Nintendo fanboys in the comments damage controlling Nintendo's E3, and don't see why we're upset. Well, there's a few major reasons why we're upset:

1. They gave us the names we want, but not the games we want. (Metroid and Animal Crossing)
2. Only two new Wii U games were announced, and they were crappy spin-off titles that had no place at E3 (Mario Tennis and Animal Crossing).
3. 90% of the Digital Event were games we've been seeing for the past 1 - 2 years. (Xenoblade, Mario Maker, Yoshi, etc.)
4. As stated at #2, there were a few titles that shouldn't have been showcased. They had no place at E3, and should've been shown in a Nintendo Direct. (Happy Home Designer, Animal Crossing, Mario Tennis, etc.)
5. They talked about some of these games for far too long, especially the ones we've already heard about. (Mario Maker and Yoshi)

There's probably a few more, but that's all I can think of at the moment. But yeah, if you thought what Nintendo did on Tuesday was acceptable and are damage controlling it; you're killing Nintendo, and you're the reason why they won't change.

Man, this game is getting so many mixed responses, it's making my head hurt.

This was the highlight of the Digital Event for me (along with Star Fox and Mario Maker). Everything else was complete trash.

Can we please STOP with the "Ryu shouldn't be in because they're hasn't been any recent SF games on Wii U." The 3rd party characters don't get it because "they have new games coming out for the Wii U." They get in due to their legendary status as a video game character.

Also it's funny how bitter and overly sensitive these Nintendo purists are. lol

@DarkEdi Longer snaker, and his down throw puts characters in a pitfall. Also, who cares. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

@BulbasaurusRex Wolf's specials look similar to Fox and Falco's, but function very differently. Plus, his titls, smash attacks, and throws are COMPLETELY different from Fox and Falco's. I wouldn't call Wolf a clone, but I would put him in the same boat as Luigi.

This gives me hope that Wario Ware D.I.Y could appear on the eShop.

P.S Wario Ware D.I.Y 2, please. There's a lot of things in the first one you could improve, fix, and add.

@OneBagTravel It's a huge deal whenever a character in a Smash game gets cut. Especially if it's a unique character like Mewtwo. He first appeared in Melee, but however didn't make it into Brawl, and a decent ammount of people loved playing as Mewtwo in Melee. So when fans found out Mewtwo was cut, they started requesting him to come back like crazy. Also, he's pretty cool Pokèmon.

He's also considered to be one of the top 3 most requested Smash characters for Smash 4 (and in Brawl). Which are (no order):

1. Ridley
2. King K. Rool
3. Mewtwo

Delay? That's fine. No showing at E3? What? Really?

Maybe Nintendo will learn from their mistakes this time?

@Oren87 I love level editors to death, so this type of game appeals to me. I'm debating on buying it because it's basically the same as Mini-Land Mayhem.

My brother is big into SMW hacking (he also makes similar levels like this one), and he showed me this about a week ago. And I have to say... this is pretty insane. Well, even "insane" is probably an understatement. lol

Those were some very informative, helpful, and high quality videos. Kudos to whoever made them!

Also, since this an article about competitive Smash, there's probably going to be some ignorant comments (because this stuff is controversial for some reason). Competitive Smash has been becoming more popular recently, so hopefully people will warm up to it more and not say outlandish, ridiculous stuff about the competitive scene.
