Super Smash Bros. Melee
Supe Smash Bros. Brawl (and maybe Project M)

@LUIGITORNADO I'm a competitive player of Melee, yet, I only do it for fun, and I don't spend my life dedicated to it.

And for your information, I do have a "freaking" life.

Lol, I still play Melee, Brawl, and the original to this day.

@SCAR392 Melee isn't really the "less" game if you play it at a competitive level. Melee has a ton of advanced techniques (wavedashing, L-canceling, etc), plus there's more hitstun, which means combos are possible (Brawl didn't have "true" combos, and there wasn't really any hitstun). Also, the game is MUCH more fast-paced than Brawl, and the characters aren't floaty.

So yeah. Not really the "less" game if you ask me. However, I think Melee is the "less" game if you play it casually.

It's tough being a competitive Smash player, when you're constantly getting bullied/questioned by non-competitive players...

What's this? An article about the competitive Smash scene with a ton of negative comments? I'm curious to why the NL staff makes articles about the competitive Smash scene, when the response is usually negative.

(I'm a "competitive" Smash player myself, by the way.)

@rjejr There's only 4 Pokemon in Smash 4. That's not "so many" Pokemon if you think about it.

Wow. You guys weren't expecting this? I personally don't care if multi-player is absent. Also, most of the VC GBA games are single-player. So honestly, who cares? And I'm pretty sure GBA VC games can only be played on the Gamepad.

This article made me want to punch my computer screen. And seeing that Pac-Man has a high amount of votes makes me want to destroy my Nintendo consoles.

Thankfully, Sakurai stated that he has no interest in having these silly Namco characters in Smash.

Is this a remake? I can't tell. Tezuka is the worst game developer ever imo. He was amazing back in the day, now he just makes rehashes like the NSMB series. I despise this man, I really do.

Donkey Kong isn't a system seller, and I wasn't expecting it to sell THAT good anyway. I dunno what the big fuss is all about.

Also, the game might do slightly better in US, but I'm not sure about Europe.

@JaxonH I agree with your post (as usual). The 3DS was my favorite system of all time, untill I got a Wii U. Don't get me wrong, I still love my 3DS — but I'm sick people treating it like it's holy-gral of gaming.

I have 12 3DS games, and I find most of them mediocre. (Keep in mind, I don't have Fire Emblem, Zelda, or Monster Hunter)

Really? Ever since I got my Wii U, my 3DS has been collecting dust. The 3DS is an overrated anyway. Wii U > 3DS

@JaxonH #31 I agree 100%! Racing games are kind of hard to innovate, so I'm sick of people saying "It's just Mario Kart 7, but upside-down."

I personally thought Mario Kart 7 was the worst Mario Kart ever made, but MK8 looks really good!

I'm on the second world on the Wii U version, and to be honest, I can't stand it. I don't know why, but it's just not that fun to me. They need to make a game with the Sonic Adventure styled gameplay, because that's what eveybody wants.

Anyway, those sales numbers are better than expected, IMO.

In other news: Sonic Boom is looking great so far!

I can deal with the redesigns, and I like the way the gameplay looks. But I don't like the setting.

Sonic is an underrated franchise, and I can see why. SEGA is really struggling to make proper 3D Sonic game. They need to make game that is based off Sonic's gameplay from SA1. In other words, here comes the sequel fanboys!

This week showed off a NEW item, and a NEW stage. Yep. This week didn't have ANYTHING new. Lol, people like you are hard to please.

For crying out loud people! Sonic Lost World (3DS) and Super Smash Bros. 4 are NOT the third games in the Sega & Nintendo partnership. SEGA said that Smash 4 wasn't the third game, and that the third game "hasn't been done before".

@triforcepower73 Sakurai stated that he didn't want a whole lot of newcomers in this game, for two reasons. 1. He said he'd rather focus on the game's balance, rather then new characters. 2. He also stated that the 3DS's hardware is limiting the roster.

I'm expecting there to be 42 characters total, and 7 newcomers.

Judging by the comments, a lot of people hate the Wii U. The Wii U gets more hate than the Xbox One DRM. All people care about these days is the power, and not the games.

The first screenshot isn't really a normal stage. It's an area apart of the single player mode.

Yes. You're 100% right! The Wii U has only been out for a year, and we should already be calling it a "failed" or "dead console" already! The PS3 didn't start selling well until 2010, and nobody called it a "failed" or "dead console" before 2010.

@LuckyTJ There was five Mario characters in Melee: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, and Dr. Mario. Not 4. And yes, I know that Wario doesn't count as a Mario character in Brawl.
