@dkxcalibur Well, for all intents and purposes anywya. He is the mascot for the various festivals, which pretty much run year-round now. They used to use Duffy Bear more, but they kind of got rid of him in the US parks.

@dkxcalibur Yeah, his ride could really use an overhaul. The originsl version was so great! Then they remade it into a version without Figment (though with Eric Idle). After Bakclash, they re-added Figment (and kept Idle). It's okay, but it could really use a rehab.

Also, for those interested, there are a couple of Disney Kingdoms comic books that have the story of Figment. He's never been in a movie though. He is used as the mascot for Epcot and their many festivals that they have seasonally.

@Serpenterror Even a compilation release of all of the classic TRON games would be great!

I love TRON, but I'm not the biggest visual novel guy. It may be worth a shot though.

I used motion controls on Wii - it seemed that was the intent and it did work pretty well. On Switch, I might use motion controls sometimes, but usually use the stick.

I thought it was awesome! I'll give it an 8 because it wasn't perfect, but I am quite happy with it and would love to see more.

@Fuzzgablinky Yes! I didn't want to read this until after I saw the movie, but when I saw the headline I thought it meant that it had more story than spectacle. It should be "substitue story WITH spectacle" or "spectacle for story."

Aaaaaanyway, I didn't think it was too light on either. What's the problem with the story? I thought it was great, especially the fathers/sons angle.

The movie was great and is expected to do very well. More will certainly be in the works. I think Illumination is a great partner for Nintendo. I've never been a huge fan of their stuff, but but I recognize the talent. With the lands at Universal too, it all makes sense.

I mean, if you can, the best way will always be on the original hardware. That's just going to give you the pure experience. But, most other ways will work just fine. Best if you can at least use an NES controller.

I'm sad to see weapon degradation is back - I don't want to break my created weapons!

I have an original, and XL and then a New XL. I never got any of the 2DS models nor the smaller New iteration.

As great of a game as BOTW was, it has some issues. Now, if they address those issues - COUGH*Weapon Durability*COUGH - then I will be really into it. We haven't really seen enough to know though. I'm sure it will be good though - but will it be great?

Nothing pre-1985? Not that I'd necessarily vote for one of those years, but there are legitimate reasons why someone might.

I really liked Get It Together, but I agree with otehrs that Gold it the best. It's essentially the first three all in one!

@Anti-Matter What's sad is that I really like the look of this game, and love Disney characters, but I wish it were just a regular release. I'd be all over it if it were! I may try it when it is "free to play" and see how it is, but I won't spend a dime on it, so if it's impossible to progress, then I'll drop it super quick.

I want to like this, but I just cant get into roguelikes. There's jsut something about them I don't like.

@Il_Nintenditore I really don't see that in a lot of movies though. I mean, I'm sure it's out there, but a lot of the fandoms are jumping at shadows. There are plenty of male heroes that are doing just great.

Yeah, sometimes it happens, but the complaints about it are way overblown if you ask me.

@The-Chosen-one It really does look great, doesn't it. I had been cautious about it, but it seems they have nailed it. I knew when they did that SMB Plumbing ad that it was being made with lots of love for the franchise!

@Vexx234 I might argue that Mario IS one of Peach's "resources." Being captured sometimes doesn't diminish her when she's been shown to be strong as well. I think everyone really reads too much into this stuff.

@wiiware I guarantee you that Mario will be the hero of the movie. He'll just have a little learning curve because he is in a new world to him - it's a typical plot. It doesn't diminish him if she has to show him the ropes. I think that it's a lot of worry about nothing.

@Bass_X0 I don't think she'll be "aggressive," just strong and confident. As many have posted examples of from the games, she already is!

@OFFICIALMichi RIght? They're gonna pat themselves on the back, but Peach has been doing all of these things since Super Mario Bros. 2! Sure, sometimes, she's captured by Bowser - sometimes Mario is captured by King Boo too! I mean, I'm glad to see a feisty Princess in the movie, but to me that's what she's always been!

I got my preorder today, finally. A little late, but it's worth having ht ephysical for me. I love that the reversible cover is still a proper cover with the red side and information on the back, so it matches the others.

@Uncle_Franklin Yeah, but in general. That's why I don't think of Mario as eating the mushrooms, or any power-up really. They are more like magical items in my mind.

@Uncle_Franklin Does he? It's been such a long time for me and that game. I just never remember it being framed like that. I mean, he wouldn't eat a Starman, right?

You don't actually EAT Super Mushrooms though - if you touch one you will grow big and it will instantly vanish. Where does it go? I don't know.

I like Majora's Mask or Twilight Princess beteter, with a central town. You cross less empty expanse and have a hub to operate from.

Here my preorder is delayed and I haven't seen it in the wild. Why did they release it like this instead of as a typical mass release?

I do agree that it appears to not be a "Metroidvania," another reason we should ABOLISH use of that term. Metroid was doing it way before Castlevania was, so just compare them all to Metroid. This looks like more of a CV game before SOTN.

I want it so badly, but my pre-order is delayed and I couldn't find it in any stores at all yesterday. WHY did this release this so weridly?

I had a Super Scope. Scratch that, I have one - I just don't like to haul out the heavy old CRT to use it. There were some great games for it, including Battleclash, Metal Combat, and Tinstar. Yoshi's Safari was okay, but not as good as the previously mentioned.

Also, I don't think you should count the remakes as seperate entries in these lists unless there are significant differences.

It's been GameBoy recently, but only because it's new. I have likely used the NES one the most. I don't get the Expansion Pack ones.

Including these options is a great thing - I'm glad they're doing it. Also, I want my bananas to come like that - They're light years ahead of us!

I gotta go with the NES - there are just so many original games that spawned numerous franchises. Super Maro Bros., The Legend of Zelda, Metroid - None of it happens without that!

@Buizel This, exactly. They all are very faithful, just a bit more detailed. I don't really see any true "difference" - at least not enough to vote.

I really like the Dread look personally, but it is also a bit too far from Samus Aran's signature look. I voted Other M because it is pretty slick. I also have a fondness for that original Matroid look with the tubes and such, but that's a tad far off from what Samus would become.

Man, I too am waiting for the Game Card...it's tough!

Ehh, Link belongs with Malon or Marin or the town-girl character anyway.

@CaptChaos Honestly, I think it is just set in a "timeless" fictional setting, where it just isn't analagous to the real world - think of Batman The Animated Series where everything looks like it's from the 1930's/40's but they still have computers and laser guns. They are just leaning into a certain aesthetic that is heavily associated with NYC where a lot of older buildings will have fittings/appliances like that anyway.

Okay, I didn't catch the trailer during the game and I don't often seek them out, but I gave this a click..."We're the Mario Bros. and plumbing's our game....!" Whhhaaaaat? That's so awesome! I really loved that show as a kid. It tells me that the people making this movie CARE about it, and I like that. I am super excited!

I like the wall plaque since it has the Japanese box art on it.

I like King of Red Lions personally.

@Sarkos Yes, Twin-Stick is garbage for FPS anyway. The original game sort of avoided this by not having true aiming, but the Wii version made it even better. I suppose with lock-on it will be fine, but I was really hoping for good gyro-style aiming.

Alone in the Dark isn't that great, but it is pretyt impressive that they were able to cram that into a GBC cart! Technically, it's pretty cool.
