100% buying this day one on Switch 2

Absolutely blown away with support from Capcom for the Switch 2. We missed out on alot of third party games on Switch 1 but the flood gates are open now. What a time to be a gamer. 2026 is going to hurt the bank account

I've had 6 months of joy with the Switch 2. Mario Kart World is an solid 8/10with knockout tour been the best addition to the series yet. It hectic online and had so much fun with it.
Donkey Kong Bananza is the most fun I've had all year with a game and the finale is up there with best ever. Its a must play title and as a DK, it shines in all aspects of gameplay. 10/10
I never got to play fully playthrough Zelda Tears of the Kindgom when it released due to family life. The upgrade is night and day, with this been the definitive way to play it. I'll dive back into this amazing world again and finally clear it. 10/10
Hollow Knight Silksong is not only the best game I've played this year but honestly one of the finest games ever. I was so engrossed in the world and the exploration was so satisfying. Combat is perfect and the difficulty was challenging but rewarding. Most played game of the year and itching for more. The announcement of Team Cherry working on DLC is so exciting. 10/10
Kirby Air Riders has surprised me alot. It's a simple game to pick up and play but has more depth that you think. City trial is such a massive highlight and online is pure chaos at times. Not enough game time with this but another soild 8/10 so far. Could rise to a 9 but only time will tell.
The upgrades of Kirby and the forgotten land and Mario part jamboree I've had a good time with and in my opinion worth the price tag but I also paid less from another site not the eshop. Jamboree continues to be the best Mario Party game to release and having a great time with friends and family. Kirby has always put a smile on face and the upgrade gave me more blissful joy. Both games 8/10
Overall, the Switxh 2 is exactly what i wanted from the og switch. It's more power, faster loading speeds, fantastic backwards compatibility and the pro 2 controller is excellent. Its a 9/10 for me so far and ready for the journey ahead of more gaming experiences I'll utterly love. Happy gaming everyone

Just started playing Kirby Air Riders and learning the ropes. Having a blast with it so far and yet to venture online but need more practise first. Happy gaming everyone and enjoy the weekend

Cant wait for more official information from the horses mouth, Fromsoftware. Curious to see how this game plays out and the creators voice is a fascinating read.

Expedition 33 will win GOTY. Haven't played it but anyone i know say its top notch. Silksong is my personal choice for this year. Would have been bananza if Silksong didn't release

Let's just celebrate that this massive franchise is coming to a Nintendo platform day and date with other consoles releases. The demo footage for handheld play looks incredible and its not long left till whoever picks this up. Huge sales are ahead for it and definitely will hit over 10mil on all platforms. Day one purchase

Held off on this on other consoles. I'll grab outlaws first on sale and then this at a later date. Switch 2 is getting some really great 3rd party support. Happy days

Still waiting on a sale to add to the growing backlog. Delighted with Ubisoft for supporting the Switch 2 and consistantly updating this version. Really looking forward to playing in the future

Definitely picking this up someday. Currently have a massive backlog and want to get through a fee smaller games before diving into this. Need an express card for more storage as money don't grow on trees. Great review by the way

Re9 coming to Switch 2 is incredible. Day one purchase for me. The biggest highlight of the direct.
Really thought the whole direct was one of their strongest. My back account cried at the number of games coming out that I'll get.
New Yoshi, Fire Emblem, Mario Tennis, Galaxy 2, MP4, Mario Wonder upgrade, Hades 2, FF7R, and Virtual Boy on NSO. Things are looking pretty stacked for Switch 2 and loads more to come.
Now back to Silksong

This is massive news for switch 2 owners and same day release as other consoles. Was worried it would be releasing later due to rumors but a day one purchase. 100% double dipping for 7 & 8 also.

No issue with the difficulty and honesty think its the perfect balance. Looking forward to exploring more and finding more bosses

Just around to reading the review which was brilliant and have put it on my wishlist now. The package at €60 is great but have other games to focus on currently. Probably will dive in on a future sale and add it to the backlog

Going to dip into Mario Wonder to 100% it with 4 medals so far. Just need to buy all the standies and get all the badges. Not much left really.

Continuing with the post game of Bananza and definitely my current goty (Sliksong might change this). Also started Super Mario Wonder which I never got around to playing. It's a joy to play and using the SNES controller is the correct way to play. Happy gaming everyone and enjoy the weekend.

Gamescon on later and fingers crossed for some really cool resident evil news. Switch 2 demo booths were pictured at their RE set up.

@JR150 Never been into Pokemon and always looked the same to me. ZA actually has my intrest as the combat looks a blast to play. Just going to wait to see a bit more of the game and really contemplating getting on release.

Kirby star crossed world will be the only pick up for August for me. I'd like to get shinobi but I can wait till there is a sale on it.

A new trailer for the duskbloods would be my top wish 🤞 not expecting it but a man can dream

@rjejr MKW is great fun but DKB is a banger. Best 3d platformer I've played in ages. Taking my time with DKB and just collecting everything on each sub level. Highly recommend it.
Meanwhile, Welcome tour will be avoided like the plague. Happy for people who like it but not spending any money on it.

@rjejr I love a bargain and try to find the cheapest way possible. Picked up jamboree with the voucher for switch online, then cd keys for the upgrade pack. Total cost of €64.59 which is decent these days. Mario Kart World, bought the bundle so I saved €40.
Very surprised selects was never a thing and their 1st party title rarely go on sale online or at a decent price.

@zool totally get the solo player thing. Been gaming since the snes days and solo is usually my jam too. Donkey Kong is looking like the 3D game we've needed all along. DK64 was clanky in my opinion and didn't enjoy it as much as others did (happy for those who did). Galaxy 2 was peak 3D Mario and Oddessy is an excellent outing. What's your top 3D Mario game?

@zool much respect on your opinion. I've had a great time with it and mostly just play online for knockout tour. Utter chaos and my favourite new addition to a MK in years.

Like everyone here, I love a good direct. Saying that, patience is key. We've only got a brand new console, with a new Mario Kart, Donkey Kong out this week and a wealth of backwards compatibility games to test out. We don't need a brand new game out every month or couple of weeks. I'd rather have quality games that aren't rushed out for the sake of it, release. It's a load of nonsense predicting a direct every week of a month. Take a chill pill or more importantly, play a game from the increasing backlog of many great titles available. Opinions are opinions and each to their own. I wouldnt be tearing down a controller in the first place. Switch pro controller lasted me 8 years and switch 2 pro controller is top notch. Headphones jack for monitor usage is a massive highlight.

Have the monitor set up with a wired connection for the dock. Downloads ain't my worries and can wait a couple of minutes to try new games out.

Really looking forward to DKB. Only a week away.

About 25 hours in, with a mixture knockout tour and grand prix. I'd give it a 8 currently. DLC will happen in the future and could easily rise to a 9, if the tracks or island are fully fleshed out. Knockout tour is the best addition to a MK title in years and online is pure chaos.

These game key cards really annoy people. Honestly won't effect myself one bit as I've gone full digital these days. Just buy the games I want to play, then move onto the next game. In the past was collecting cases for display purposes but never played many of these titles. I actually sold alot of these games and currently off loading to put towards a Switch 2. You don't need every game and just do you. Be happy gaming at your own pace and never be pressured into buying something you won't get use out of. Good vibes to everyone

Totally agree with Dread in a dark room and headphones. I'm after starting to play Monster Hunter Rise, in tabletop with a pro controller on the OLED and really enjoying this way to play.

My OG Switch has served me well. Upgraded today for the OLED model and it was worth it. Screen is amazing and only going to hook it up to the TV for multilayer purposes. Redownloading all my games at the moment and a busy night ahead with Metroid Dread

Like many others here, I'd like to see a 1080p screen on the handheld and slimmer bezels. I love the size of the switch lite and hope its a similar size to that model.

My GameStop didn't get stock in and won't be in till Monday. Going to collect it next Friday with the switch lite

If the pro version is real, I would like to see 1440p with HDR support for docked and 1080p undocked, Bluetooth for audio and a ethernet port on the dock.

I waited in the rain for the midnight launch of the Switch. It's been my favourite time as a gamer because I've been with the console since day one. I'm 33 years old and never owned a console from day one due to financial difficulties in the past but I took the time to save and make some hard choices of selling other devices. I've been on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and family bereavements over the last two years but the Switch has help put a smile on my face due to the library of amazing games. By the end of this year, I know i can safely say that the Nintendo Switch will be my favourite console of all time. Happy Birthday you wonderful console, thanks for the memories so far

Going to have to say I disagree with the comments saying that they would only like to play the same mode. Yes I understand that you want a certain mode the whole time but wouldn't that get boring fairly quickly? I personally would love just a random mode and a random map. It keeps you on your toes and expect the unexpected. They could also introduce competitive turf wars to the ranked mode and introduce a option for a friendly tower control, splat zones and rainmaker mode as more options for the player.
