Someone on the forums mentioned that cloud, corrin and bayonetta amiibos not being out yet suggest a switch version of Sm4sh. I'd say that's a fair assumption.

In addition, Pokken seems like a perfect fit for the switch - and there's arcade content that didn't make it to the Wii U.

I like the USB ports where the controllers used to be. I wonder if they actually work for the switch itself.

I doubt the Wii shop is going anywhere. There's way more Wii consoles out there than Wii U - I'd expect that to go first.

Lots of cool stuff to transfer in from 6th gen, but I think I'm most excited for the RBY Pokémon. I love that their IVs are so good and they're blank slates to EV train right when transferred over.

Depending on the stage it wouldn't be too chaotic. Big Battlefield, Pyrosphere, Hyrule Castle, Gaur Plains, and even Hyrule Temple (the cave of life isn't as bad as it looks with 8 players). Smaller stages like PS2, Castle Siege, and Midgar are better suited for 3v3.

Not sure about completely "revamping". I've spoken with the smash community about this and 1v1 will never be supplanted by anything else (just like pro wrestling?).

But I really like this just like I love doubles and hope more communities can get something like this together

I've already spoken with friends about forming a team in my region and others want to give it a try too.

I've been content to not purchase coins for Miitomo yet, hopefully we'll all have the willpower to do the same for animal crossing

I'd like to see how the format pans out; to me it looks to combine smash bros with the team deathmatch format of a lot of FPSes, which could be a nice change of pace depending on what stages were used.

Also, I'd really like to see esports being used in a way that benefits the community so I definitely hope that gets off the ground. I'd love to speak with these guys to see if I can get something similar started in my area. Video games have been a great way for me to get to know kids of all ages and I'd like to give back.

I'm kinda hoping this is right and that streaming thing is false...the wifi concept seemed needlessly overcomplicated and I'd rather have it the other way around, that being the handheld having the processing power and a small box to connect it to the tv.

I'm glad that the remakes and the originals are separate. I don't remember the original Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald having such a "Mary Sue fanfic-esque" story the way ORAS does. And FireRed and LeafGreen basically render the originals obsolete.

Yeah this game is definitely not Tekken. I can tell just by watching gameplay footage. But as for being wholly original, all I can see is Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3.

I could see shadow mewtwo as a new mega in z. Maybe it could be activated with a new move to out power creep mega rayquaza.

Couple curiosities about slender:

1) Can you use pro controller or just wiimote/nunchuck?

2) I played the original on Mac. Is the sequel really worth $10 or should I just stick with The Letter?

Pokemon stadium 2 was a high point for the series. It's worth knowing that with all the tools needed, gold, silver, red and blue can play alongside (not simultaneously obviously but still) AND battle each other, which couldn't be done on the gameboy.

I really don't have an opinion either way, but I wouldn't mind shovel knight in smash for two reasons:

1) he's the main representative of Nintendo's current trend of supporting indies - it has a place in Nintendo's recent history and it seems to be working

2) the game is a love letter to classic nes games so even though it's new it seems like he would fit

My reasons against Shantae are more personal; I know she's a cartoon character but I just wish she'd cover up lol
