I could never get into an Animal Crossing game past the Gamecube original. Maybe it's because of the lack of NES games in all future installments. Or maybe it's the fact that Animalese sounds so much better in the original.

Maybe not a Marvel character, but what about Marvel-themed character costumes/stage themes? Kinda like what they did with Mario Kart and Mercedes?

All I want is a plush Teddiursa, which is still ridiculous at $20 for that small of a size but it's better than over $2000.

I’ll be the first to admit I can be a bit of a prude. But wouldn’t the better way to attract adults be with quality storytelling (reviews suggest it’s hit and miss in that regard) rather than discount Deadpool?

For the people commenting on the way the article begins, there’s a lot of controversy going on in the Melee community right now specifically because Hungrybox uses Jigglypuff. And it is totally embarrassing to have a bunch of toxic people saying that because he doesn’t play a “technical” character like Fox that he’s ruining the “purity” of the game. I get the arguments that other sports have it much worse, but the immaturity right now in the Melee community has to be addressed.

All I can think of when I see the title is the Disney channel movie with the stupid future language.

So far this weekend I’ve played Smash Bros and Mario Kart with friends.

Also picked Pokémon Y back up to get me ready for the aesthetically similar Galar region later this year.

Also picked up Yoku’s Island Express on sale and been having a really good time with it so far.

@KingBowser86 The Pokefinder was more integrated into Let’s Go’s interpretation of Go’s catching mechanics than anything else.

Which makes it seem like even more of a step backward for those of us who want a Snap sequel.

Actually during the Brawl days I preferred the Wii remote sideways so Smash with a d-pad isn’t totally out of the question for me; but it worked better with the slower pace of Brawl (and playing heavyweight Snake), therefore I could replicate it in Smash 4. I wonder how a traditional controller with a dpad would feel

When Smash 64 hadn’t dropped yet, for some reason people didn’t make a big deal out of it. Nintendo Power April 1999 had Smash Bros relegated to the corner in favor of the timelessly impactful Beetle Adventure Racing.

@jjmesa16 I think they didn’t say Gold and Silver because you could technically play them on the original Game Boy still. Crystal had the cart that was GBC-exclusive.

That was an interesting time overall; it’s hard to call the Game Boy Color an all new system. But I do take your position since Gold and Silver were made to take advantage of the expanded pallet.

I have to say, and I’m not trying to sound like a doom and gloom guy, but this part of the direct gave me pause.

Because if I buy the switch and Ultimate (which is probably inevitable but still), then I’m gonna need to pay for online, but it doesn’t sound like Nintendo’s doing that much to make it better than what I was getting free with Wii U.

For some reason I think Mimikyu sells it the best, even though it’s not actually screaming from what we can see. The others are just too kawaii and it loses its effect.

It’s neat to see I’m not the only one who prefers the AA batteries. Had the pro controllers with Wii U (two of them were Hyperkin’s Gamecube style) and I had a nagging feeling in the back of my head that the built in batteries would give up the ghost eventually.

My brain went from this game to the awful movie, to wondering if that Wii U game The Letter has any hope of coming to switch...

My first thought was some kind of Monopoly/Fortune Street style board game. Hopefully with some Pokémon battling in it to break up the tedium; as much as I enjoy Monopoly even I can admit the games tend to drag on.

Controversial idea: what if instead of trident replicas we got 2 Gamecube controllers with an N64 color scheme? (Gray, Blue A button, Green B button)

It’s hard to say “just get another pair of joy-cons to put on it” when they cost as much as they do, but it is an option. The red and blue ones would make an excellent complement to the whole set.

I thought for sure this was gonna be a double stop format like MTG.
