Re: Astral Chain's Combat Was Possibly Inspired By Pokémon

BakaKnight

This game will surely be amazing, but this is unneccessary easy and wrong comparison.

You summon a monster, so it's like Pokemon!
You collect stuffs, so it's like Mario!

Guys, you are Platinum Games, we buy your games as soon as we see the logo, no need to use these cheap comparison tactics to get us on board XD

Re: Review: Senran Kagura: Peach Ball - A Shiny Casing Full Of Used Pinball Machine Parts

BakaKnight

Wrote a comment with my dissapointment, but had to delete it, I'm enough interest that I wanna give this game a chance regardless of the review's warnings. Let's hope I'm not making a wrong call XD;;;

EDIT: Just a quick edit to say I really didn't make a wrong call.
The game is super fun, it works well mechanically, the tables are colorful and interesting to play and of course it's filled with the "charm" of the Senran Kagura serie. If you enjoy pinball games and you have no problem with the fanservice style of the serie then this is just a super fun game worth to check out X3
(Honestly the only issue is the lack of tables, but like Pokemon pinball that had the same flow, the game is fun enough that you get too busy enjoying it to mind).

Re: Review: What Remains of Edith Finch - One Of The Most Unforgettable Games On Switch

BakaKnight

Those screenshots... This is a game I have been searching for quite some time, saw one of its scenes in a video, looked interesting, but I had no idea of its name and there are a LOT of games with similar concept/design/title around, some of these "walking simulators" are super hard to tell apart in the digital stores XD;;;

I'll keep it in mind now, maybe even buy it somewhere where it's cheaper (my apologies to the devs, but I gotta save both money and switch's SD space ^^;;; ).

Re: Get Ready To Gigantamax As New Pokémon Are Announced For Sword And Shield On Switch

BakaKnight

Great, the one thing I appreciated of Dynamax was that at least it was a gimmick not limiting the Pkmn you can count on, but NOPE seems like you gotta catch a specific specie of Pkmn to fully use its potential too...
Can't I just have a Pkmn game where I can build my party without a gimmick telling me that I'm missing out on something?! >.<

(Also I want to play Shield and fight Bea so the drama of version picking is starting to get serious for me now XD; )

Re: Daemon X Machina Trailer Shows Off "Major Improvements" From Demo Feedback

BakaKnight

Finally!
It's so refreshing to see a developer listening to feedback, all the major issues I had with the game have been clearly addressed (like...I love those health bars for bosses and the extra sfx, it was so frustrating in the demo how I couldn't tell if I was doing anything to the bigger enemies).

I definitely have a little more interest back for the game, if anything I would really like to give it a second chance now.

Re: EA CEO Defends Microtransactions, Says It’s "Actually Possible" To Do It Right

BakaKnight

If only what he says in interview was reflected in the games...

Microtransactions done right, the importance of value, fairness, choice, and fun, all things that never showed in any EA game.

Ack, if someone is to blame for the huge hate and political mess around microtransactions is indeed EA and the other big companies that abused the system and broke it beyond any acceptable way. Kinda offensively funny how they are trying to save what they destroyed beyond any chance of salvation...

Re: Bloodstained Team Releasing Multiple "Small Updates" To Fix Performance Of The Switch Version

BakaKnight

Well, gotta join those happy they waited to buy.
...and it feels so wrong, I forgot it came out yesterday and I was planning to buy it soon, why not buy at launch a game is becoming such a positive thing?
I should be here sad I'm losing on a great experience, not happy I avoided a poorly ported game they cared so little they needed some backlash to get proper resources on it...

Re: UK Charts: Crash Team Racing Speeds Straight To Number One, Destroys Team Sonic Racing's Debut

BakaKnight

@BensonUii I know, I was just try to keep my reply short XD
Indeed Amazon raised the price of TSR cause the Mediaworld's price raised after the No-Iva weekend.
And the GameStop offer I meantioned is indeed that one, buy two-pay the cheaper 5€. Fact is that TSR is between the games' on offer and with two 40€..pardon 40.95€ games, you would pretty much pay 22.9€ each game.

Re: Soapbox: Why Sword And Shield's Pokémon Purge Will Benefit Everyone

BakaKnight

I'm honestly super curious about the balance, there are pkmn that didn't get any changes since red and blue (and I fear that's the case to all pkmn actually) and some are even so weak that are unusuable in the game's story, let alone the competitive field XD

If they really worked hard to change things I'm personally all in to accept the limited pokedex (even if I'm biased by not having transfered any mon in the last gen), but the changes needs to be there.
If I'll catch a Pokemon (new or old) just to find out that no matter how much I like it, I can't use it for a lack of stats, moves, ability or even all of the above then I'll definitly join the outcry~

Re: Guide: How To Find Your Rhythm In Zelda: Cadence of Hyrule

BakaKnight

No offense, these are good advices, but my constant dying in Zone 1 of Crypt of the Necrodancer as thought me as much and more (althought in a much more painful way XD).
I'm definitely tempted to buy Cadence eventually since everyone says it's not as unforgiving as the original, but I'm in no hurry, it's a good fun gameplay style, but not 100% for me.

Re: Pokémon's Junichi Masuda Explains The Decision To Limit Sword And Shield's Pokédex

BakaKnight

It's interesting that he mention balance and give each mon a chance to shine when that was never the case before. I love pokemon, but the balance between them is literally inexistent.

After this statement however I expect that the pokemon that will make a comeback in Sword and Shield will receive solid and drastic changes to their stats, moveset and so on.

If that's the case then I can totally understand why they had to make a step back, rebalancing 800+ characters in one shot is definitely out of any logic.
(But seriously? I doubt they did that, I'm sincerely ready to be dissapointed by finding again that many pokemon I like are so weak to be useless even in the main story -.-;;; )

Re: Nintendo's E3 2019 Sale Is Live Until 18th June (Europe)

BakaKnight

@Lemmy_the_Koopa To be honest the whole Shantae sale is a bit of a goof up, the game and DLCs discounted amount to around the same price of the ultimate edition.
Maybe that's why they accidentally linked that version instead, it's the same as buying the one on sale afterall.

Re: Did Nintendo Just Spoil Fire Emblem: Three Houses' Killer Twist?

BakaKnight

It may be my impression, but recently it seems like most major games get their plot twist, surprises and main events revealed in the trailers.

I can't even blame them, while I'm not a fan of spoilers, keeping anything "secret" just means lots of sites and leakers will spoil it anyway as soon as the first copies of the game start to be delivered a few weeks from the release.

Still I'm honestly unsure if call these information on the new FE "spoiler", but I can understand why the dev prefered to make a grand trailer out of it instead then pointlessy hope they could keep it secret for long.

Re: The Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening's Limited Edition Comes With A Game Boy Steelbook

BakaKnight

@Ralizah It's funny, you don't like Awakenings despite it being your first Zelda game, yet I love it exactly for that reason.

But maybe I'm just too attached to the memories and nostalgia, which may also explain why I can't get into this remake at all; they can improve the gameplay, layout, maybe even add puzzles and challanges, but they can't improve my happy memories ;w;

Re: My Big Sister Is An RPG-Like Adventure Starring A Sarcastic Twelve-Year-Old

BakaKnight

"RPG-like" made me expect a little more even if I get the reference with the horror games made in engines like RPG maker, still the trailer was uninteresting, it lacked either gameplay or enough story bits if that's the focus.

A bit of a shame, honestly had to check the article after seeing the beutiful artwork; if anything I definitly love the art and the pixel graphics are not bad at all too.

Re: Sonic Movie Director Responds To Criticism, Promises Changes Will Be Made To Hedgehog Design

BakaKnight

On a side this could be a good thing, there's a lot properly questionable in the movie, but as a Sonic fan that manage to enjoy most bad lines and plots in the games, I can accept a lot of "weirdness" in a work with Sonic. But I need to see Sonic, something I can't recognize their model as.

Still... I'll be the first complaining about any redesign, even a perfect one, if any news about crunching the animators will come up. They took a design decision, one that clearly had an high chance to be disliked by fans, putting anyone under pressure cause of the expected internet backslash sounds ridiculus.
