Launching in just two days' time on Nintendo Switch is My Big Sister, an RPG-like adventure from indie developer Stranga Games.
Taking on the role of Luzia, a sarcastic twelve-year-old with a playful sense of humuor, players are tasked with ensuring that both her, and her big sister Sombria, make it back home after being kidnapped. To do this, you'll be playing through multiple chapters consisting of puzzles, item finding, secrets, and multiple endings.
The game plays in a top-down perspective and publisher, Ratalaika Games, says that "you'll have your work cut out for you" if you want to get the ending the two sisters deserve. Here's a quick feature list:
Features:
- Unique chapter based story
- Adventure style gameplay
- Top-down pixel artwork
- Original Soundtrack
The game launches on Switch on 10th May, with pricing set at $5.99 / €5.99.

What the heck is a "RPG-like"...
@Balta666 It looks like an adventure game to me. Maybe this is what RPG-like means.
It is usually {name of an old game}-like, not {game genre}-like (rogue-like, quake/doom-like)
@Balta666 In this case it means that it was built using the overworld half of an RPG making program of some kind, leaving the combat mechanics out.
Lot of interesting games have been made that way but it seems like a marketing mistake to draw attention to it.
@RickD they only thing worse is when they describe their game as 'beautiful' or 'hilarious'.
Nah, I'll be the judge of that, thanks.
Makes me cringe every time I read it.
@Guybrush20X6 @Rhaoulos thanks guys. Still looks a bit of a strange term but fair
Nothing really grabbed me in this trailer, gonna be a pass from me
"RPG-like" made me expect a little more even if I get the reference with the horror games made in engines like RPG maker, still the trailer was uninteresting, it lacked either gameplay or enough story bits if that's the focus.
A bit of a shame, honestly had to check the article after seeing the beutiful artwork; if anything I definitly love the art and the pixel graphics are not bad at all too.
I need to see more gameplay before I could invest in this, seem like the only interesting part is the story but the story is nothing if the game doesn't grab me.
Interested. Price is right. Graphically looks interesting. Would like to see some game play footage though.
That's what the world needs. More pixel-vomit games and more sarcastic children.
My big sister isn't.
@RickD It should read "its", not "it's"! Don't use contractions if you don't know how they should be used! English isn't my native language, but I still know that!
