In today's Nintendo Direct it was revealed that the upcoming mech battler DAEMON X MACHINA will land on the Switch on 13th September.
Here's some info on the game to whet you appetite:
When the moon tore apart, the sky bled red with light, ushering in an apocalyptic new age…and to survive, you must fight. As a mercenary, defend Earth through high-speed combat against corrupted robots in a series of missions from the cockpit of your Arsenal, a fully customizable mech. Equip your Arsenal with a vast array of parts and weapons, obtain more from downed enemy Arsenals, and swap them on the fly to suit your strategy in the face of ever-rising threats.

I enjoyed the demo, so I am looking forward to picking this up.
I'm still not sold...looks better than the demo, but that killed so much of the hype for me, I'm kinda wary... I do hope it ends up being great though!
Demo seemed so..what is the word? ...Janky. Gonna pass on this one
This looks positively outrageous!!
Loved the demo. Can't wait for it.
This game had me excited but since the Demo I have been liking it less and less... am I crazy?
The demo was a 6/10 for me, but I'm still interested. It looks like it has a ton of depth, which means a lot to me in a game.
eh. pass-a-reno.
Honestly the trailer is amazing, but I had an hard time enjoying it since I didn't like the demo.
I hope/wish they will make avaiable a new demo before release, I definitly need to know if they fixed and changed some things around before considering a purchase.
They need to release a new Demo. Last one pretty much killed the hype for this.
There is a video on YouTube, I believe both the NintendoUK and NintendoUS channels, detailing all of the improvements that the devs made to DxM based on demo feedback. It is a long list with specific gameplay clips as examples for most of the points.
Game looks a LOT smoother since the demo and the speed of movement and maneuverability looks way better....looks like they took the criticism to heart....and it looks just outrageous. Would be foolish to pass this one by. Day one purchase here, one of the reasons I bought the switch.
New demo is needed before release to restore faith, I actually enjoyed it but many didn't..... Good reviews upon release would help, but I just can't see this game selling....
The demo had much potential. This trailer looks like they certainly added some ambition to the game. I was already sold, but I'm happy they are obviously trying to make it as good as possible.
As long as they can lock that frame rate down to at least 30 with no dips, the demo had hard dips into the low 20's which is unacceptable.
I am going to wait to see how this game turns out, the demo didn't inspire a lot of confidence. It seems like the hype was greater than the game, but who knows, the finished product might be fantastic.
I've heard mixed things about the demo, but I also know that they were committed to making some improvements based on the feedback they received. I'll still be keeping an eye on this one but think that gameplay footage and reviews will be needed before I'm sold.
I thought the demo was pretty good so very interested in this
i enjoyed the demo so if it improves from there its a day one purchase for sure.
I hope they have spiced this up since the demo - which I found rather dry. The silent protagonist during lively conversations with NPCs really felt awkward. And gameplay felt more like a helicopter game than a mech game.
I’m dying to play, but I just traded a bunch of 3rd party backlog to get Link’s Awakening Dreamer’s Edition paid off. Some of those were stellar games I just haven’t had time to play too!
Didn’t try the demo but this looks better than what was shown
@BensonUii thanks for posting that link. My main concern from the demo was no real sense of speed and they’ve increased the arial speed. This game is firmly back on my radar.
@Mach_Rider The demo was a mixed bag of sorts. An outdated demo that starts off with a couple slow missions and bad parts doesn't give off a good impression for many that just pick it up and play through once. Once you replace parts and weapons and play through missions 3 & 4 it was a lot more fun (though, I also tweaked the hell out of the controls and hud to my liking). This is sorta carried over from the AC series in many aspects. There was a really fun game hidden away in that demo, it just required more curiosity than most demo's. Hopefully they release an updated demo with some focus on initial impressions by giving you good equipment to start.
Folks watch that video Benson posted back there...there's a list and demonstration of the improvements made from user feedback. It looks like they addressed the issues! Encouraging!:
