This sounds like some sort of new weird ritual at Nintendo. With the release of every title, one of the head developers must play the game 20x before releasing.

I’m in the “probably but not right away” camp. I have so many games sitting on my shelf waiting to be played and just slowly chipping away at them.

I played 3 and enjoyed it but never beat it. I got stuck on the gold goo and just gave up and moved onto another game. I actually want to go back and play the first two once the physical drops for them and then maybe I’ll snag 4 physically when on a sale and/or used.

The game looks promising, but reading what other games the dev worked on has given me pause. Definitely not a stellar resume to boast about.

Playing TOTK. My backlog is disgusting and will continue to grow as I dump well over 100 hrs into TOTK.

Will this be a digital only release with 8 content levels and a physical release a year later without all the content on the cart/disc?

What are the chances we get a 20XX and 30XX physical release? Never played 20XX, but 30XX has me super interested!

I’ve had my eye on Wrestle Quest too.

I have the base game physically but have yet to play it. It’s next on the list after TOTK. I kinda want to get the Castlevania physical edition too cuz reasons.

I love that he continues to support SDV, but I want a new experience. I’ve sunk like 200hrs into the game and while I still haven’t done everything, I’m satisfied with what I’ve done. I was kinda bummed he paused development on Haunted Chocolatier to work on this update. I can’t be mad because SDV is farm sim GOAT.

I have zero knowledge of Warhammer lore, but they definitely chose the right aesthetics to pull in the general public with the Doom-style visuals! It has me interested.

@tgt You could be right about how many years passing. What I saw could have been random chatter speculating the year gap between BOTW and TOTK, as I don’t really know myself. I haven’t gotten to Hateno lab yet, so if there is specific lore about the year gap there I have yet to see it. I’m only like 15hrs in with much of that just fooling around and leveling up.

@GamingFan4Lyf I haven’t dived too deep into the nonsense to give you an accurate answer. From what I remember seeing it was like although she is over 100 years old, her body in BOTW was that of a 8-10 yrs old child but because of the length of time from BOTW to TOTK, it means her body would be over 18 again thus “legal” again. I dunno, it just seems like way too many steps to try to justify to yourself it’s okay to be attracted to the character. lol

I scooped up a CIB Kid Icarus Uprising at my local GS because of this trade in promo. I’ll gladly pay $40 over $75+ on eBay any day of the week. I almost feel sorry for the poor sucker that traded it in for pretty much a $25 value…

Also, I don’t know why, but the Dragula rocket vid had me laughing hard.

I liked it. It was relatable. Everybody gets stuck in some sort of a rut at least once in their life. Sometimes all it takes a small change (in this case playing a video game) to make you appreciate the little things again.

The physical edition seems to be no where to be found for the Switch? At least where I’ve looked. Although I haven’t looked too hard and I’m in no rush.

OOT in 1998. Despite having a SNES, I still didn’t really know about LTTP when I was younger around the 1992-1997 years, but after playing OOT, I then went backwards and played LTTP too. Sounds weird nowadays, since information is everywhere, but really if you didn’t know someone who had it or missed it in magazines, you could have easily missed a game.

Hollow Knight is a top tier metroidvania experience. I was ignoring it on my backlog for a while and did not get around to playing it until after I played Metroid Dread. It stands up toe to toe with it.

@Anti-Matter I just saw the other day that this will be Super Rare’s next release on April27th.

Fantasy Life was one of those 3DS games I always wanted to check out but just never got around to it. Now the price is pretty high, so may never play it otherwise. I’ll keep an eye on this one.

I got the first game physically on PS4 during a sale, but have yet to play it. Looks like I better hop to it sooner than later. lol

Very fond memories of playing the first game on my GBA. I am looking forward to getting this eventually, but I’m just so busy trying to clear some of my already large backlog before Zelda drops. Definite buy, but not Day 1.

This has caught my eye. Don’t really know too much about it. Looks cute and a decent GB platformer. Certainly not going to buy all 3 versions. My safest pick would be the Switch version. Would be cool to play this on my GB or GBA, but honestly it would be for novelty only and I hardly ever pull them out of retirement to play games. Although could use the GC GB player too...

“Mike” was probably some low level associate working part-time that got paid garbage without benefits. It’s not like GameStop is some foot in the door to get a job at Nintendo, Sony and so on. Mike will be just fine…he will be hired next day at another garbage employer like McDonalds, Lowe’s, Target, etc. lol

I’m sure with enough work any COD game will run fine on Switch, but the question is, will most care enough to play it on Switch to make it worth it for the amount of work? I don’t mind sacrificing some performance due to the portability of the Switch, but when it comes to a heavily MP dependent game, I’d rather run the game on something with stable internet connection and play on a bigger screen like a TV, so I’d never play it in handheld anyway. I’d just rather play it on something with stronger hardware for a smoother experience.

Now I know why it SE had such a limited physical release. They would need to shell out YUGE money for game cards, eating into their profits. Oh wait, they hate making money…

I have the cart for BOF on SNES, but never really played it much. I hear great things about III and IV on PS1, but just never got around to playing them back in the day and they are kinda expensive now. An HD collection might fix that. Sure I can probably find a way to play them in a legally questionable way, but I’m lazy…

I really wish there was a 50%-off sale of DKC so I can finally pick it up at a price I’m comfortable with. I know it’s selfish of me, cuz that would bankrupt Nintendo.

Square Enix can suck a lemon. This should have been a standard retail release for console. Anything that must be ordered from the publisher’s website always seems to be a mess and extremely difficult for a normie like me to secure when the scalpers are using bots, etc to suck up all the preorders.

I need to upgrade from my launch console so this OLED would be the perfect opportunity. If it does exist, I’ll probably never get the chance to preorder it, cuz the bots will suck them all up before a normie like me even has a chance.

I’m not a Kirby lore expert. So if he doesn’t digest the enemy, how does Kirby copy their power? I always just assumed he absorbed the enemy’s “essence/soul/whatever” thus taking on their power. My head is spinning…I need to sit down…

@AndyRogan I dunno. I’d rather have a bigger box than a beat up game case. Amazon’s done me dirty like 3 times now, to the point that I returned 1 game because the case was so badly mangled when it delivered. I now try to avoid buying a single game to be shipped from them unless the sale is really good.

I’m excited but the hype level isn’t amazingly high. Due to the fact that there’s such little information on the game, I’m really not expecting it to be better than BOTW, but on par with it.

I’m kinda getting Majora’s Mask vs Ocarina of Time levels of excitement…it looks like a similar experience than before and will still be great. That’s okay with me.

I don’t need a special Mario box. I just want Amazon to stop delivering my games in a mailer sleeve, show up bent in half, looking like they placed an ACME anvil on top of it in the delivery truck…

All Komani has to do is port an HD version of Twin Snakes on Switch and I’d buy it. Doesn’t need to be a 10/10 remaster.

Sea of Stars and Plucky Squire on the top of my list. Definitely keeping a few others on my radar and will check out the reviews once they drop.

That horseback and volcano screenshot is giving me strange BOTW-wannabe vibes. Would be cool if it were a much more open world map. My expectations are very low since Natsume’s franchise has disappointed for a while now. I am hoping they can surprise me.

Looks up my alley. Will keep an eye out. So many games lure me in with nostalgia via 8-bit, 16-bit, 32-bit pixel art but then disappoint. I always have high hopes though.

I’m a grown a** man that still plays a ton of video games. I’m offended Nintendo actually thinks I leave my house long enough to the point I would require luggage. 😂

Cool. The first game is really good, but I sort of lost interest with it and never finished it. I feel like this happens a lot with these turn-based strategy games. I love them in the beginning but then I fizzle out and never finish them. lol

E3 is a relic of the past, much like G4 TV, or my old subscription to Electronic Gaming Monthly (EGM) magazine that I had as a kid.

Sure there is plenty of nostalgia there, but not something I need to recreate today. Give me a Nintendo Direct or State of Play on YouTube and I’m happy.

My sons wanted to watch Sonic 2 this morning for a Sunday morning movie. I am literally watching the end of the movie as I type this. lol

Both movies are great for what they are supposed to do. Entertain kids. I really can’t complain much about them.
